My current plan was to scare Wuffles into talking, unless I could think of something better, which I was hoping to do. There's no reason to do it at any time other than just before the day begins. I don't know exactly how it will turn out, but it should be formatted like a night result.
I don't quite get what you meant by the secret thing...
He means: How would you have used your role tonight if you had not been forced to claim?
Which you just answered. ^^
That being said, I'm not willing to clear Bert based on that claim, but don't find him scummy enough to be today's lynch.

Scare me into saying what, Bert? What else could you POSSIBLY want me to reveal? Hillary Clinton's bra size?
To be perfectly honest, I think that you've substituted the word "dream" in for "nightmare" when it appears in your role description.
I think you just described roleblocker/framer flavor. I don't like the fact that you could fake cop investigation results (if I'm not mistaken).
You claimed, Storm? Don't tell me more than you already have (I don't want to fish), but could you point me to what you're refering to?
I haven't claimed, but i have breadcrumbed my results from last night.
Here, and Here.
Was worried my first one was a little out there, so i figured to do it a bit more... earnestly.

But you have no thoughts on me? Some people keep expressing a notion that im scum. No one ever substantiated it, but... yeah.
Anyway, seems nice to have someone to actually present their thoughts, and for this game, any form of organization is nice
But, towards the end of the first day, i wanted SOMETHING to occur, as the game had slowed o a crawl.
Yet, in the end, we had a good end result.
Now i can take a breathe ^_^.

There's also something about Cyan that isnt quite sitting right. He has been one of the prime pushers for the Mod Wagon, and Hyams, i still think Hyram is scummy, and that his role could be town, could be mafia, could be neutral even. His abiltiy could be faked as he could have a different Week based ability, just because he knew that the week thing existed doesnt mean he is cleared.

There is something in my gut that says to avoid agreement with Treigit, because, something in my gut tells me he's scum. But at the same time, there is SUCH an unknown quality about Cubus that its impossible to put my finger on, or get any real reading.
Also, in that first post he points out that there's "something about Cyan that isnt quite sitting right," specifically mentioning the mod wagon and Hyram. Then he pulls what is probably the biggest fence sit I've ever seen on Hyram, and pushes for the XYH wagon the entire game. Really, the most common theme of his posts was "let's go investigate the mod again". But he thinks Cyan is scummy for this? His whole opinion on Cyan weird in this post.
Third, his two most prominant positions are that we should rewagon XYH and that we should lynch Cubus. The town basically decided that lynching Xyre would be a bad idea, and I personally think that it's a dumb prospect to persue at this point. As for Cubus, I'll give another quote:
Quote from Post 389 night »
Truthfully, either we test Cubus, *which i see NO downside too. Seriously, with NO proof other then his word, we're letting him off?* or we randomly wagon someone new, since atm, we have NO cases.
Now I understand (though disagree with) the argument that we should test Cubus, but to say that there's no downside? What about the possability of no lynching? Worse, what about the possability that we'll no lynch on him, clear him, and then he'll turn out to be scum? And, as I said shortly after this post, we have more proof than his word: HE'S DEAD. There's a clear downside to lynching Cubus even if you think the benefits out-weigh it.
Moving on, he was one of the people that wagoned me for no reason besides metagaming and wagoning. I obviously have a grude against this, but it's a valid point, too.
You may also remember when he nearly simul-posted with WOLG and, if he had come first, would have lynched Sutherlands? He wagoned Suth, too.
In post 241 night he wanted WoD's second mason to come out. This was unnecessary and lead to arimnaes' death.
And lastly, to reiterate one of the best points I see against StormBlind,
Quote from SorryGuy »
If I may ask you, and this does not necessarily make you scum, but what have you done for the town?
First off, i was the SECOND person on the Hyram wagon after i saw the method of his kill, now to continue i shall refute each point. (or try ;))

This is true, i lurked in this game and DOTA. I then started to pay more attention after War3 mafia ended, though i still didnt feel that much urge to post in DOTA mafia. (Note increased posting after War3 mafia ended)

Regarding the XYH and Cubus situation, i believe that they are BOTH incredible amounts of confusion. I believe that we need to test and examine the full situation, i STILL think somethings going on with this as i dont remember XYH's promised information about a random person being revealed. And as for cubus, im willing to buy the situation for a time, but i do believe and ALWAYS will believe there's something else going on and that something needs to be done about them. (Thats consistant)
As for the fence sit with Hyram, that was based on the fact that, at that point, the kill could have been Townie (Vig), Neutral (SK) or Mafia (mafia). I stated such, so yes, i was fence sitting. But ill point you to my last post of the day thread, here.
As soon as hyrams kill method was revealed, i DID claim a position as i didnt think a townie would use poisons to kill.

If we no lynch, we have cleared a townie, which, IN MY EYES, is a HELLUVA lot better then killing him really. A non-killable townie? HELL YES! I personally dont see how no lynching but clearing an invincible townie on night 1 is bad at all.
A non-lynchable Mafia would be utterly broken. If he is unlynchable, that only leaves a VERY few roles to deal with him. I do not believe a game could be cleared with an unkillable Mafioso, especially since his, "DEAD" status would attract alot of attention to start with.
And lastly, concidering the flavour of this game, there is NO reason to believe that its impossible for him to have lied to us. Just because he made something that meshes with his Undead status doesn't mean he's telling the truth.

Actually, if you check, i wagoned alot of people. Yes, i voted Sutherlands, and as i explained at the time, it was to keep him at -1 since i thought someone unvoted him. (But didnt actually cause their unvote wasnt bolded)
And actually, that lead to ***'s clearing. People accused WoD of sending Squiggler to kill Cyan. And since he was found dead on the scene, it would have made sense, cept that it caused me to come forth saying i targetted cyan as well. (A fairly townie action if i think so myself as it cleared WoD)
Anything else other then your grudge?

The wagon on me was rediculous. There was very little basis for it in the first place, and you didn't add anything to except a vote. You just said yourself that you've wagoned a lot of people; I fail to see how this is a good thing.
WoD isn't cleared, thanks.
On Cubus: I think it's entirely possible that he's a neutral. An unkillable townie is possible, an unlynchable scum is possible (though very unlikely), but an unlynchable neutral type? I can deffinately see that in a game as nuts as this one. So nolyching wouldn't clear Cubus.
On XYH, Cubus, and the confusion surrounding them: this point of mine may be based on a different outlook on this game than you. I agree with you that these two roles in particular are just crazy, but rather than trying to clear them up I think it's easier to just ignore them for now and concentrate on finding the more conventional scum. You seem to want to 'do something about them', but the only thing I can think of that we could 'do about them' involves lynching, and I believe that either of these lynches will not have satisfactory results.
I'll give you the point that you stopped lurking as much after War3 ended.
Hm. I'll think over this again. After doing so for a day, it seems like I've been getting a vibe from you more than anything else, although there are still a few things I don't like about your play. That, and we seem to have completely opposite views on how to approach this set up.
The wagon on you was a wagon to cause SOMETHING to happen. I was sick of nothing happening in the game, at the slow, pondering lack of movement. I wanted to push through this to hopefully get some information for the next day (never happened). So, wagons that looked like they might provide SOME information i jumped onto. Good or not, its my play when i get tired of a LONG day.
WoD isn't clear? He's a heck of a lot clearer then he was before.
Thing is, its ALOT easier for the mafia to get rid of a non-killable Townie then it is for the town to get rid of a Non-lynchable mafioso. And even if he is unlynchable, he wouldnt have a killing method and would likely be a survivor role. Again, a cleared invincible survivor role IS NOT BAD for the town.
This IS where we disagree. The way i see it is this, the longer we leave them alone, the more likely we are to never gain the ability to check them out or resolve them. The longer the game gets, and the closer to a mafia win we get, the harder it will be to kill them or to get something resolved with them. The harder it will be to justify leaving them alone.
Its mainly the fact that its so early in the game im pushing for this.

Vote Bertrand.
How could I fake investigation results? That makes no sense at all.
1. I don't know who the cop is, if there even is one.
2. One thing I don't know is if my targets know it was a dream or not.
3. How is a magcician a roleblocker/framer? What's a framer?
4. The exact term is 'illusion'.
5. I don't know what you have to reveal. But considering you are not necessarily working for the benefit of the town, there might be something. I said that I would try to come up with something better anyway, but now it's useless.
Again, how? How would you use a dream to "scare Wuffles into talking" (which, btwm would be mostly futile)? Give like a general summary of the dream you'd use or something, because I still fail to see how your role could be used to do the things you are saying.
How could I do it? Probably something along the lines of Wuffles meeting someone (maybe a masked man?) who would tell him something like "you can't go on like this. you have to tell the truth about youself. or else, there may be consequences". That's how I was planning to use it. Again, that was my "if I really can't think of anything better" plan.
I know it probably wouldn't do anything. That's why, and I'll say it again, I was hoping to come up with something better.

So, shall we lynch bertrand? The man with the roleclaim that doesn't make sense on a townie? The man whose express purpose in the game is to misrepresent the situation to the town?
What?! Look at the initial post; he is dead. Deceased. Kaputt. Indefinitely horizontal. In mafia games, you see, people are occasionally "killed off," and when that sad event occurs, he or she is no longer allowed to post, on account of rigor mortis and what-have-you.
'Welcome to Mafia Salvation', it said, 'Population: 3,660.' And someone, they never figured out who, had painted on the sign in red letters: '1,831 to lynch.'
I'm torn over whether or not to vote bertrand. On the one hand, his claim is pretty bad and I don't see how it could be used in the town's favor. On the other hand, this game is pretty screwed up. Still, I don't remember seeing any townie roles that weren't pro-townie yet, so I'll Vote Bertrand. *Crosses fingers*

Hey, you! Yeah, you behind the computer screen! You're unconstitutional.
And that's the lynch. Hopefully we've taken care of at least one more scum, and everyone can agree that we should go after wuff. How much longer can we wait to start eliminating anti-town neutrals? A lot of people say that we should wait and catch some mafia before dealing with neutral's, but taking care of them end-game is always taking a huge risk, imo.

Is this seriously a lynch? In still don't even fully understand the case on me. Half of it are things that don't make me scum, and the other half makes no sense. Anyways, go town, and.. I just sent an illusion to someone, hopefully he will be alive in the morning to tell the tale.

The town's had enough. There's blood aplently at this point on the floor... and it won't go away. At this point, they'll take anyone who's shifty enough and measure him up for his coffin. They're pawn du jour is our friend Bertrand, who's been sitting in the middle of the circle of discussion, nursing a bottle of Jack Daniels and moping bitterly. Eventually, Wrath of Dog turns on him. "Look, we know this guy's clearly suspicious. Let's just give him his just desserts."
The town turns to look at him, and well, he's just sitting there, looking despondent. Eventually, carrion pigeons, sick of arguing, pulls out a pistol and shoots him through the head, much to the chagrin of the town. He stares at them. "What? This is what you wanted."
You all turn to look at Bertrand, who's slumped over. But strangely, he's not bleeding. In fact, there's something really wrong about Bertrand...
Sutherlands stands up and grabs him by the collar, but his hand comes up with just air. He jerks back as if he's seen a ghost. "What in hell?"
"Look!" Chimpanzee points at a shadow near the door. The person darts around the corner, about to get away... when carrion pigeons gets him, too. This body's quite familiar; it's the real magician. Cubus checks Bertrand's wallet and groans. He pulls out a tear-stained photo of a young woman. "He was telling the truth, gents."
As if summoned by a false god, red, piercing light, the prophet of dawn, drowned out the photograph and its owner. Its reminder was quite grim: Time is running out.
Bertrand, Raleigh Pine, the Tortured Magician - Town Illusionist, has been lynched.
You all march out to the main lobby, ready to witness the latest carnage. And indeed, a preliminary count reveals that someone's missing. But who? You all go through the names and realize that DYH is awol. You all get ready to go check his room when Jobie pipes up.
"Um, guys... do we know what room he's in?" You all open your mouths to answer, then realize... DYH hasn't shown up at all. Very bizarre. You all walk around the room looking for clues, pausing to allow the guards along the walls to pass, when suddenly creampuffeater yells out. "Guys! I found something you should check out!"
He's standing at the door the man in the mask's been passing through after talking to you. There's a pair of bloody footprints moving from it. And they're fresh. Creampuffeater nervously opens the door and surveys the scene.
The man in the mask has been returning to a small, dimly lit office in the back of the building. When you get to it, you find him sprawled in his chair, with a bullet hole in one of the eyes of his mask. You all remove the mask and find a very familiar friend... but not one who you thought was here.
You all look down at the desk, covered in a mess of papers, like someone's been looking for something. And it seems they found it, as the papers are out of order and some are missing. But the most interesting thing on the desk seems to be a walkie-talkie, with blood on its side. StormBlind picks up one of the sheets of paper and coughs.
"Let's check the local jail." he says. You're all baffled, but agree to follow him, with a pair of masked guards watching your expedition as it progresses across the street to the county jail. It's a one-cell building, and it's completely empty - another victim of the rapid emptying of this town. Except...
You notice the guy in the cell. He's in the shadows, so it's hard to see him, but the blood in the cell makes it perfectly clear what his fate was. His face was blown away by the gun's fire, but his driver's license makes the situation very clear... and the course of action very grim. It's looking more and more bleak for this town.
Xyre, Xyre, the Man in the Mask - Neutral Mod Proxy and Disrupt_Your_Hymm, Trevor West, the Out-of-Towner - Town Absentee, have been killed.
Sigh....wasnt really a confusing factor, it was fairly obvious.
I should have time to do a vote analysis tomorrow. Incidentally, im still amazed at wolg's play.....of being a survivor going after someone else for playing like a survivor.

I would ALWAYS expect a role block simply because i AM a claimed investigative role. And no, i wouldnt have lost my ingredients, BUT I WOULDNT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO USE THEM ANYWAY!. Now lets see, if i HADN'T of used it, then people would be calling me dumb/scum for NOT using it, or saying "LAL" because i said i was going to Investigate. At some point, SOMEONE would get me lynched anyway, since there would be no way for my to clear myself, especially with the fact there's no investigative roles left (likely).

Yea, I'd suspect a sort of back-up SK, but we already had one of those. And the guy who's possessed being the back up for a regular old crazy man doesn't sound like a relationship that's going to work.
Ok, my character name is Xavier Molotov, my stepfather and his sister had me committed to the mental asylm after the death of my mother, due to the heavy medication I'm on I'm asleep for all of the day. Because of the way my stepfather and his sister treated me I want to see them dead, in addition to the town win condition I also have to kill these two. Now, before serge's death I was seriously wondering how the hell I'd be able to do this, but since then there's been a shortage of staff at the mental asylm and I can sneak out every other night and kill someone.
Vote Kenji.... (sidenote: Kenji claiming vig? Shocker) It appeared that Swinkee was a backup SK. @ZDS, there's an irc role called psychopath which is immune to kills and kills a random player each night, but thats all i know.

I love Joboman, Poggy, Niv, and Vezok, because, while they may not be the best players, they still try to win. Having fun is the most important thing to a game, but I've learned that if you don't try to win, then you're ruining everyone else's fun.

He means: How would you have used your role tonight if you had not been forced to claim?
Which you just answered. ^^
That being said, I'm not willing to clear Bert based on that claim, but don't find him scummy enough to be today's lynch.

Again, how? How would you use a dream to "scare Wuffles into talking" (which, btwm would be mostly futile)? Give like a general summary of the dream you'd use or something, because I still fail to see how your role could be used to do the things you are saying.
3CB and 4CB5CB!Scare me into saying what, Bert? What else could you POSSIBLY want me to reveal? Hillary Clinton's bra size?
To be perfectly honest, I think that you've substituted the word "dream" in for "nightmare" when it appears in your role description.
I think you just described roleblocker/framer flavor. I don't like the fact that you could fake cop investigation results (if I'm not mistaken).
Vote Bertrand.
I haven't claimed, but i have breadcrumbed my results from last night.
Here, and Here.
Was worried my first one was a little out there, so i figured to do it a bit more... earnestly.
and
Now, if you wish, you can do a search to see what baby's breath is. Then you'll know my flavor ;).

And you have... results?
Uhm... vote stands?
My promised case on Stormblind:
First, he lurked a lot of day 1. While showing up, he didn't say much and very little of it was new. This picked up a little towards the end.
Second, he's been wishy washy on numerous occasions.
And lastly, to reiterate one of the best points I see against StormBlind,
Vote stands.
Now,
This is true, i lurked in this game and DOTA.
Let's work backwards:

Continue.

I should have time to do a vote analysis tomorrow. Incidentally, im still amazed at wolg's play.....of being a survivor going after someone else for playing like a survivor.
Logical Reasoning is dead; Long Live Stupidity
Going sleep, explain more tomorrow.
Last night, after i had prepared my potion and begun to whisper the magic words, someone came in and kicked over my potion, ruining the spell.
I am now vanilla for 2 more days while i gather more flowers.
vote ZDS
1. What spell were you attempting to cast?
2. Why did you use up your resources last night when you explicitly stated that you expected to be roleblocked?
3. Please explain your role in thorough detail.
Right now I might be willing to join a SB wagon, depending on how these questions are answered.
3CB and 4CB5CB!Because i can be blocked regardless. I checked, i would have been able to be rb'd even if i collected.
Im a herbalist. I get components and perpare potions that i use to obtain results. The Towns people treat me like a witch, so i have learned some useful spells for learning when im going to be attacked. I have six abilities, all triggered by my components. there are unique requirements for each spell. Spell of Divination. I learn the alignment of one player.
Rahl, thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard. If you expected a roleblock, at least by gathering you wouldnt LOSE your ingredients. With the exception of your role you sounded quite sketchy to me yesterday...and youd fit my picture of a neutral. Still, I think I agree with ZDS...Kenji's a better target.
More later.

Random Mafia 2 Town MVP

You know what? That was the dumbest thing i ever heard.
Seriously freaking think first.
@Stormblind: read the quote.

I do think...And i know that if for example whoever's RBing was to die somehow (or just stop), itd be better off for the town to have you fully empowered. That tends to happen ya know.

Chucklez?
You mean Chimpanzee I guess...
I also believe that lynching yet another neutral would be a Very Bad Thing when townies keep dying left/right/centre.
Sigh. I'd really like to get some pressure upon Cubus. I know I've been saying this all game, but he still bothers me.
