At any rate, I really like the Behemoth. It fits into my Mayael EDH deck well enough.

I don't understand all the hate for Gwafa... sheesh! Pacifisms every turn for WU? Why the heck not... He's a must kill.

Here's something I know you haven't though of yet.... Gwafa simply rocks if you have a teammate! Hey, teammate, sorry your creature is on its way to the graveyard... here have a card.

I tend to agree with you seds, the only other thing I can see it being is an effect that lets you draw when your opponent does. I know that for one mana that's obscenely powerful, but, considering it requires you to have a blue permanent, and that the parasite is so small that it dies if you even look at it funny, I could see it.

If either ability is the case, it's no bob, but it'll do.

Behomoth is good in limited but Gwafa Hazid is horrible. Possibly the worst rare created. It's not even good as an EDH general and if you want the colors Grand Arbiter Augustin IV is a much better card.

Gwafa is really flavorish! other than that, seems kind of dangerous to keep giving cards to your opponent., specially since u have to keep paying UW and tapping her.

Damn i saw the thread title and hped Gwafa would get better, but she became even worse

Cliffrunner Behemoth is very sweet though, i can even see constructed potential for this one!!!

And i totally agree on Parasite, a howling mine effect seems a perfect fit(having you draw whenever an opponent draws even on a 1/1 would be insane).

Gwafa helps your opponent find his next kill spell, and then all his "pacified" creatures come back online again and you have just paid 1WUWUWUWUWU to give your opponent four cards.

Cliffrunner is awesome if you can get one or both of the abilities going, otherwise it's a rather unexceptional vanilla. Time will tell on that one.

So you believe the parasite has "If you control a blue permanent, draw a card" or "If you control a blue permanent, each player draws a card"?

If so it could easily go from quite a bit.

Cliffrunner Behemoth- a 5/3 hasty lifelinked creature for

is very nice and it's relatively easy to have a red and a white creature in play before hand even in limited. In constructed the 3 toughness is annoying and 4cc is maybe a touch high but it works very nicely with everyones favorite one drop Figure of Destiny.

Gwafa- worse than before, but I still doubt it's a rare, didn't wizards say that legends and planeswalkers were all going to be mythic from now on. Still reusable removal of a sort is nothing to sneeze at so it should be limited playable at least.

its kinda sad that naya gets all these bombs... its not like its weak right now. they should give some more bombs to grixis.

Yeah, I got nothing, that is TERRIBLE if confirmed. Unless there's other cards in the set which deal with Bribery counters or something. I guess. I mean, it doesn't even have haste, so you can't even use it to immediately remove a blocker if you topdeck it in limited.

The behemoth is nice, though. land noble hierarch, land wooly thoctar, land cliffrunner behemoth serve for 10 and gain 5? Naya.dec has a potential turn 4 kill with this guy.

All the hate is based on the fact that those creatures only stay pacified while Gwafa is in play. That makes her extremely vulnerable. And like other people said by giving the opponent cards you are giving them a high chance of having a kill card in hand, once they have a kill card they have all their creatures back.

There are things that could make Gwafa playable. Giving her shroud or protection would work. aking her indestructable would work (but be way of flavor). But being that this is the second person to spoil the card and neither person had an ability to help it probibly wont have one.

She could probibly make a passable EDH general as you could play her again to re-pacify the creatures. But even that is a long shot.

Of coure you can always go with the "good in limited and bad everywhere else" junk.
