The goblin will be more balanced when Shadomoor rotates.

Since the Jund card says 'permanent' and not 'creature', would Rise of the Hobgoblins be a good card to combat the 'post-Wrath' effect mentioned?

Is it possible the goblin's hybrid mana cost is {bg} instead of {ub}? Or is Jund discovering blue mana? Haste would also make more sense for green than blue.

Well, he did post {bg}, so I'd say yes.

Still no sign of wedges yet.

The Jund Goblin (btw. fange means mud) looks really good, as long as SHA is in Standard.
3-colore d for 2 mana can also help to getBloodhall Ooze and Kederekt Parasite early active.

the goblin is pretty sweet with any hybrid one drop, but the other card is really terrible. And I cannot think of a UB way to abuse it. Nor can I think of any way to abuse it anyway.

That goblin confirms my suspicions that there will be one drops in ARB. (hybrid, of course)

...
Let me be specific here.
Hybrid is numbered after multicolored cards.
The goblin is a multicolored card.
We have number 140 confirmed already.
There are no hybrid one drops in this set.

Every card requires 2 or more different types of mana to play. None can be played with one type of mana.
Every card is gold, multicolored.

To the below poster:

This kind of effect is solely for casual.
And casual players will enjoy it.
Empty the Catacombs+Evacuation...is interesting, but would never be played in standard.

jesus, 7 mana is massively over-costed. evacuation did this for 5 and is an instant and foot bottom feast can return almost every creature card from your graveyard to library not to mention pyrhhic revival and others. Additionally, blue and black are a little slow compared to white, red, and green so brining back your opponent's wool thoctar sucks too when you're only going to be able to cast 1 or 2 of your massive esper creatures next turn, meaning they can easily over run you. This is just useless and keep mind I actually thought that worldpurge was at least interesting for casual. This is a really bad start.

Turn 1 Tattermunge Maniac, Turn 2 Goblin Guy, Turn 3 Goblin Guy. Requires some luck, but 13 damage turn 3 seems ok. I would see the deck being Red/Green, mostly red, with Figure and Ram-Gang and such + burn spells. I would try building it at least.

Thanks for the info.

SoulQuake?- too expensive and too sorcery speed, powerful effect and definitely limited playable but it won't make it in constructed.

Jund Muckcutter?- even if you're not a fan of the hybrid gold cards this is a nice solid card, 1st turn FoD or Tattermunge Maniac followed by this as a 2nd turn 3/2 hasty creature is pretty nice. And it's another nice Goblin which might help goblins become standard viable.

Yeah Tailler = to sharpen, to wittle. La fange I think is muck, or slime. Lorwyn Block threw loads of these up in terms of weird words and porte-manteaux type names for cards.

Mind you, the French translations for the English names are at times incredibly cumbersome, so working back is tough'

Still, I like the design of both these. I don't know if Soulquake will see much play.

Working from the silly english names from WotC sure can prove pretty difficult. But it is true that we even manage to worsen the whole thing at times.
For instance, Stenchskipper becomes "Pue saut" in French (stench->pue / skip->saut). Unfortunately, "puceau" which means "virgin guy", is pronounced exactly the same way as "pue saut".
Playign my "pue saut" is always a fun time...
Back on topic, the more I read the goblin card, the more I find it interesting. But it is true that it is weird to have such a card in an all-multicolored set with no one drops.
