Ob seems like a cool general to me so I made this rough up of how I may build him. Obviously a land matters mindset is followed, also please note my EDH builds are for Mtg: online so I have less of a pool to choose from some what. This build is for Multiplayer game use.
Yea those 3 were all front runners on cuts for the 1 card I am over. Didn't think of the Bane seems like a good add.
I do like the possible 2 for one with throat slitter returning a 187 creature to hand and getting a kill out of it on top.
If you are going for snow lands why not go with Mouth of Ronom and Scrying Sheets? With only 18 swamps I also don't see terrane generator doing all that much for you. I do get why it is in there. I just don't like the basic land clause if you only have 18. If it has been working for you then so be it.
If you really want to you can put the 4 fetch lands that fetch swamps into your deck too. I would also love to see Scepter of Dominance in here. Instant wins via infinite mana is always fun.
I agree with all of this. Bane of the Living is a great Board Sweeper. Eyeblight tells your opponent's a full turn ahead of time what you're targeting, so... you don't think it'll make one last swing at you?
Truth be told I actually run less swamps than that in my Ob Nixilis deck if memory serves. I find that around 17 to 18 swamps is perfectly acceptable. Keep in mind that Ob Nixilis triggers when ANY land hits play, not just when a basic land hits play
I will say that cards that cycle lands into your hand or into play are incredibly useful. I found Twisted Abomination to be incredibly useful especially when paired with Oversold Cemetery!

Yes, and it is quite crazy in a format with 40 point life totals. In addition to cards like Yawgmoth's Win, black is a very powerful standalone color with access to all sorts of ridiculous cards.

I wasn't suggesting to cut non-basic lands for Swamps. Merely to add Swamps. I generally run no less than 40 lands in my EDH decks (one of those not really counting as a land: Diamond Valley) and you're running less than that in a deck where the general cares about land drops. As is, why not just change generals? What's the point of running Ob Nixilis over Maga, Traitor of Mortals, Korlash, Heir to the Blackblade, or even Kalitas, Bloodchief of Ghet? Until you make it care more about landfall triggers, you're running a subpar general.

There should be more equipment in here. Equipment is way too amazing in EDH. Lightning Greaves, Loxodn Warhammer, and Whispersilk Cloak. Even Nightmare Lash is fun in monoblack, if you're running enough swamps (I don't think you are though).
Edit: I wonder if you're running enough cards to play into your generals' strengths. I think you need more basic lands, and run Wayfarer's Kite.
Journeyer's Kite

nope. Banned. EDH uses the Legacy Legality.

@ Ratoly: Umm... what are you talking about? Necro is legal in EDH. Yawgmoth's Bargain on the other hand, is not. http://forum.dragonhighlander.net/EDH_Forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=261
Speaking of Yawg's Will, I would definately make room for it somewhere, because it is just so unbelievably powerful.
If you've got them, all 4 of the the Swamp/x Fetchlands.
And definitely, definitely Loxodon Warhammer. You don't want Ob Nixilis getting chumped.
