My Isperia EDH deck. I originally wanted to do a Mono Blue deck with Lorthos, but I wanted to use a general that used blue and another color and fit my style of toolboxing. I looked at Isperia, I smiled.
The deck is ment to be played in a duel then in multiplayer. In 1v1, I try to get Isperia out as fast as I can and beating face. Most of the time I have an equipment to help her out. 1v1 is more easier for me to win with this deck because of the fact that I can focus all of my resources on that player rather then all players, as well as having multiple general hosers to keep the guy in front of me in check.
Multiplayer is a little different. I only played one game and I plan on going a slightly defensive style while poking people for 3 with Isperia.
I will put a more detailed analysis as soon as I play more games, but I really want to know what should I take out in place of cards? As far as I know, I need to use Pride of the Clouds, Sky Hussar, and maybe even Radiant, Archangel.
Whadda'yah Think?
(P.S.: This one is easy, but cookie to anyone who gets the reference shown here. )
Mirrorweave in sideboard for those crazy situations where someone just made a creature infinitely huge in multiplayer, or for politics when a friendly player is attacking another player with several weenies and you decide that they are all Darksteel Colossus until the end of turn, or vice versa making a foe's huge army into 0/0 Body Doubles and watching him shed a single tear.
I would recommend going "Group Hug" with the deck for multiplayer, siding in some friendly cards that try to keep pressure off you. I also recommend Time Stop for times when it's crucially important to stop a turn where it is so that someone doesn't win.
It may be a bit unconventional, but what about including Aether Vial. It appears to me that many of your creatures that you are hoping to fetch hold similar positions in the mana curve. Ramp up your Vial as you need answers from Isperia and go to town, effectively leaving your mana open to counter/draw.
I just built this deck, and one of my main win-cons is fetching Sphinx Ambassador and mirrorweaving it with 3+ creatures for sillyness Also works well with Rite of Replication etc. Flavourly I also feel the card deserves a spot, as it involves some of the guessing and mind games that Isperia offers, just more complicated
Collycauseschaos: Mirrorweave is something I haven't really thought much about. Except for the previous posters suggestion with the Sphinx, I don't see much I can do with it.
Miscalcul8edRisk: Thanks, but no thanks. Vial is good, but I don't find it all that great when I draw it as my 4th or so draw in the game.
Hephlathio: The Sphinx is a FOR-SURE add. I'm happy that I remembered it existed...Mirrorweave may be tested. I had Rites in the deck for a while, but I think I swaped it for the Bribery. We'll see.
Also, I'm in serious need of advise on what to take out of the deck. All of the cards I think work in their own rights...Anyone have ideas?
I also run Isperia as an EDH general and I just wanted to let you know, Pride of the Clouds is pretty terrible in this deck.
You don't want to have tons of guys out because wrath effects will make you cry, but at the same time you don't want to be tying up 4 mana a turn to make a 1/1 flying bird token.
Edit:
I'm speaking out of experience in that case btw. Haha

I've never been a fan of x-counters in EDH, like Condescend, because of the massive amounts of mana people usually have. A normal counterspell would fit better i think. In addition,
I don't like Exalted Angel in this deck, its fetchable and quite big, but when I considered the similar but in my opinion more powerful Baneslayer Angel i kept asking myself the question: when do I want to tutor for this. In the case of Baneslayer it's huge dragons and demons, but Exalted Angel isn't all that impressive.
Depending on your meta I would consider cutting cards like Guardian Seraph and Purity, as they are pretty useless against most decks and just big fliers, which you have enough of.
The biggest problem with my deck is that I always have so many different things I want to play, but not the mana to use it. Consider putting in cards like Kor Cartographer, Solemn Simulacrum and/or more artifact mana. Last but not least I would suggest putting in more cards that can help you abuse your etb-triggers. Dust Elemental, Mistmeadow Witch and Galepowder Mage.
Necro-bumping, but with actual content so please don't infraction me or something.
New deck list, as promised...since I'm not lazy anymore. Anyway, major changes since the last time. I have taken out a lot of cards that are more "competitive" and replaced them with cards that are slightly less stronger, but I can actually tutor them with Isperia or by other means; they are also more casual cards too. Examples are Time Stretch and Storm Herd, both amazing cards, but I have no way to get them unless I happen to draw into them.
Anyway, Long List Ahoy.
OUT Catastrophe - Not really a big fan of this card. Yes, it does combo with Windborn Muse but I don't go for combos like that since they don't always appear. Tunnel Vision - I don't really see why I should run this to begin with. It's a very boring card and it's even more lame to play it on someone and win automatically. For a more Casual deck, it's not welcome. Inundate - Good, but also bounces by guys. Not very good against Blue decks. Time Stretch - In my Wydwen deck. Telepathy - Replaced with Glasses of Urza since *that* can be tutored. Spin Into Myth - Great creature/general kill, but I had to cut it for other things. Journeyer's Kite - Don't really need it that badly for a 2-color deck. Replaced with Coalition Relic. Whispersilk Cloak - Another great Equipment, but replaced it with other things. Fabricate - Replaced with Idyllic Tutor, since the bulk of my deck benefits from that move over than the artifacts I run. (Subject to Change.) Tidings - I have card draw in there. Long-Term Plans - I'm going to be shuffling my deck a lot with Isperia's ability. Rhystic Study - Subject to Change, but for the time being, it's out of the list. Merchant Scroll - Too narrow. It can get a Counterspell or Wipe Away but that's about it. Relearn - Not enough cards to actually warrent using it. Keep Watch - Not always effective. I may or may not sub it out before a Multiplayer Match. Pact of Negation - Wydwen deck is using it. Also, I'm trying too not go high on Counters. Spelljack - Same as above. Condescend - As such. Windbrisk Raptor - Not all that impressive to me. Still a great card to use in an Isperia deck. Blazing Archon - I'd rathar use something cheaper and less vulnerable. Reya Dawnbringer - With Karmic Guide, Sword, and Reveillark, I don't really need her that much. (Subject to Change) Gomazoa - It's great, but just too vulnerable. Keiga, The Tide Star - I already have Sower of Tempation. Also, if I have a Rite of Replication, I much rather use it on Yosei. Vedalken Mastermind - I got other things. Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir - Hardly ever comes out, and he can't be tutored by Isperia. Exalted Angel - A bad choice, but I went ahead with a more hard to kill creature. Archon of Justice - Another bad choice, but I didn't see a whole lot coming from it, since people work their way around it.
And all 5 of the Theft spells: Bribery, Control Magic, Aqquire, Blatent Thievery, Take Possession. ~ They have all been moved to my more competitve deck: Wydwen.
IN: Duplicant - This was for Teferi. Reveillarkable, and is just very deadly. Return to Dust - I figured some Artifact hate would be in order. Glen Elendra Archmage - The all-star of the deck. Tutorable when I swing with an Isperia, I'll always have a mana left over to get ready for a Counter. Reveillarkable, and is very annoying to deal with. What I like in a creature. Magus of the Moat - Great card, even though it is vulnerable and is not coming out alot. Reveillarkable, which is why I use him. Nevermaker - His ability works a lot, and can happen after a Wrath. Karmic Guide - Another all-star of the deck. Tutorable, Reveillarkable, and my means of bringing back creatures. Sunken Hope can bounce her back for ensuring a steady stream of board advantage. Quicksilver Dragon - While I don't entirely reccommend this to alot of Isperia players, I put this guy in purely because I always loved it as a card, and I loved playing with it even when I started out. The effect isn't all that bad, and it's a decent 3-drop. If I feel like it, I'll put Exalted in it's place, or something that does something else. Angel of Salvation - Psuedo-Haste, and it can prevent a creature from dying, potentially being a 2-for-1. Wipe Away - Probably the 2nd best bounce spell printed for EDH. Capsize being first. Rout - Instant Speed Wrathing, in case I get into a pickle. Path to Exile - Just a good card. I believe this was put in for Spin to Myth? Coalition Relic - Able to get my Isperia out much easier, and it's a great card in general. Temporal Adept - While I know the mana cost for the ability is stingy, I usually don't run into a problem using it when I cast it. Again, Bounce works with Isperia. Muddle the Mixture - Just to keep my deck from running out of counters. Also used to get Greaves. Evacuation - Psuedo-Wrath spell. Instant Speed makes this card glorious. Sunken Hope - One of my MVP's. With Reveillark or Karmic Guide, I'll get an engine going, while my opponent struggles. Enlightened Tutor - Just a good card. Helps me get Enchantments or Artifacts such as the Sword or the Enchantments. Pristine Angel - "Big Stupid Wall" is a great card to use. This is my Wall of Denial #2, except it can attack and can prevent a Uril (with no trample) for a while. Linvala, Keeper of Silence - She's more amazing than you think. Able to shut down certain generals and problamatic creatures like Intrepid Hero and Magus of the Disk. All with a decent P/T! Gravitational Shift - Pretty much a game-shaper, since the bulk of my deck is filled with flyers. While it can be detrimental by fueling Dragon generals, it has still helped me win by swinging for kills. Talisman of Progress - A mana rock. Needed. Coastal Piracy - Since my creatures fly, I usually get a lot of cards and I get a whole lot of cards. Another underrated gem that has proved it's worth. Eternal Dragon - A method of getting my Hallowed Fountain or a Plains, then later on bring it out to bring out beats. Teferi's Moat - A meta call, since my playgroup runs mostly green and white, I figured I would go with this card to slow them down. Pilgrim's Eye - Thank god this thing has flying, because a tutorable blocker/land fetcher is always a welcoming thing to have. Rite of Replication - Part of some of the only combo pieces of the deck--Yosei, The Morning Star being the most deadly. Glasses of Urza - I have chosen this over Telepathy because I would rather use something that would let me have my own information and it's tutorable with Trinket Mage. Loxodon Warhammer - I could either run Fireshrieker or this, but I wanted a means for life-gain and ensuring my Isperia would hit, so I went with this. Idyllic Tutor - Gets an important Enchantment. Usually go for Sunken Hope or Teferi's Moat. Talas Explorer - Plan A for "A look at your hand so I can use Isperia later." Plan "B" for "blocker". Plan C for "cheap"? I don't know. Trinket Mage - Stated his use. For the record, he can get Glasses of Urza and the Top. Austure Command - A versatile Wrath spell. Lieutenant Kirtar - Believe it or not, this guy is very good. Reveillarkable, able to squeeze some early damage, and can act as a threatning wall. Just a versatile creature, in my opinion. Vendilion Clique - Last but not least. They let me look at the hand, and they do major damage to their stradegy and maybe their life.
Cards that are on the fence. Grand Arbiter Augustine IV - I own one, but I just wanted flyers more. Reveillarkable, yet not tutorable. Stormscape Familiar - Same as before, but is tutorable. But I wouldn't really need a reason to tutor for it since my mana comes out easily. Deathless Angel - Great card, but the mana cost for the ability won't be as effective as what a Radiant, Archangel deck would do. Sphinx Ambassador - Not really wanting this since it has a high cost for a smaller body. Even if I take the creature, an Evacuation wouldn't help it at all. It's effect is nice, but I'm not up for using it in Isperia. My Wydwen deck, however, runs her.
Yeah. This deck has changed. A lot. But I'm honestly fond of it now. In fact, I enjoy playing it a lot since I get to try out newer things that can still win me the game, just in a funner way.
@OCPunisher: I tried it when it came out in Worldwake...I wasn't really all that impressed, but that was before the major change. I'll try it out again though.
@ash and fire: For Pristine Angel/Akroma, it's pretty great. For everything else, not so much. I'll consider it, though.
But really, what would I take out for the mentioned cards and why?
guiding spirit would be good here I think. Especially with the rules changes regarding g.y. order. Combos well with reveillark and mulldrifter. And pride of the clouds and radiant wouldn't hurt. If you want more fliers to pump them run emeria angel, and the two best token generators ever in luminarch ascension and that 3 mana pegasus enchantment.(can't remember the name)

Pride of the Clouds/Radiant works in some Isperia builds that like to deal with tokens, but I don't really run a token build so I wouldn't want to add those in my deck any time soon. In my current build, they feel more "vanilla" than anything.
Major Teroh?
Also, I suggested this on the GMAD thread for Sheldon's Isperia list, but Planeswalker's Mischief. I really am tempted to give this card a spin, but I'm not too sure what I want to take out. If anyone can help me out on it, that would be super.
I realized that I really get my deck to it's prime on Turn 6, and I don't really have a big beater aside from Akroma. Angel of Salvation is fantastic, but it's awfully expensive, and I would rathar tutor for something like Akroma or Tidespout Tyrant if I wanted a guy that costed 8 mana.
The Sphinx... I tried it. It's a house. Able to grow and net you card advantage does something that's unique compared to all the other flyers in the deck.
Dragon doesn't really cut it that well, as to my surprise. So I needed something that would be a game turner, and I looked up Reya Dawnbringer and her ability to get back my own team piece by piece.

Also, I suggested this on the GMAD thread for Sheldon's Isperia list, but Planeswalker's Mischief. I really am tempted to give this card a spin, but I'm not too sure what I want to take out. If anyone can help me out on it, that would be super.
Also, update:
- Angel of Salvation
+ Sphinx of Magosi
I realized that I really get my deck to it's prime on Turn 6, and I don't really have a big beater aside from Akroma. Angel of Salvation is fantastic, but it's awfully expensive, and I would rathar tutor for something like Akroma or Tidespout Tyrant if I wanted a guy that costed 8 mana.
The Sphinx... I tried it. It's a house. Able to grow and net you card advantage does something that's unique compared to all the other flyers in the deck.
- Quicksilver Dragon
+ Reya Dawnbringer
Dragon doesn't really cut it that well, as to my surprise. So I needed something that would be a game turner, and I looked up Reya Dawnbringer and her ability to get back my own team piece by piece.
