the key above right shift. it makes reading easier.
the optimal storm would be at 4 in order to bring the 4 bogardans. if that fails plan b at 3 is also good, but just hope they dont have blockers. (you can kill them with the bogardan, but it will be hard to deal lethal damage in one strike)

Seriously though, this thread is getting ridiculous. To the OP, if you're in mono-black, it's already an uphill battle against Dragonstorm or really any combo deck that doesn't involve graveyard shenanigans. Factor in a STORM-BASED combo deck and it looks really grim because you have to deal with each copy of the storm spell...in this case, you have to deal with each dragon it spews out. You have to keep up with their draw with your discard. As mentioned, you have Thoughtseize, Duress and Sadistic Sacrament to pick cards out of their hand/deck. Then you can go the route of Mind Shatter, Mind Sludge and the like. I'd try this: Pull out a dragon with a discard spell, then Extirpate it. My one question would be when you have access to tons of great multi-colored lands, why go mono-black when you can easily splash other colors to help you out. If it's a money issue then I guess you can only do what you can afford. |

you could also try mindbreak trap out of the sideboard. you won't be able to cast it directly, but it sounds like you're having issues with it otherwise, and you'll need to rfg the spells.
