Blightning is fun, I still prefer it to also hit creatures and still make your opponent discard cards, but I'd have made it cost 1bbr or bbr to make it a little more balanced in that regard.

I dont mind them tapping land to play it but that is never the case. Its always cascaded into. Thats the problem...
Getting hit for 3 and discarding AND having a creature possibly dealing 3 dmg is the problem. Ridiculous no one has mentioned this.

people are always going to put hate towards cards that are good that are in decks that they dont play. each player has their own playstyle, and when all these control players are pissed that they dont have a solid deck right now is just funny to watch. no, the card isnt broken. and no it shouldnt be banned. i think everyone should wait to post judgement until worldwake comes out and we have a complete standard set. then we can start talking about "unfair" cards. the decks that are getting tournament wins now will most likely not be the decks getting tournament wins once the new sets come out.

blightning is practically the only card that will stop my RDW when i verse jund. unless they get lucky and draw 3/4 thrinax's then the only card that will do much is blightning, because those two cards are usually what i plan to win the game with, unless i'm packing two hellspark or hell's thunder of course, then i just unearth em.

Blightning can get rid of a bitterblossom, so its obviously better. Bitterblossom even hurts you. I don't know why your wasting your time comparing a decent common against an ultra weak card like BB.

Agreed. Blightning is really good for a common. broken? no, could be a uncommon though.

I got hit by a Blightning earlier today. I discarded two Extractor Demons. I won that game.

This. If only Hindering light could counter like a Negate. Or even spell pierce.

Hindering Light hits... what, everything in Boros and Jund that's not a creature? Must be pretty bad.
