Default Things you wish Wizards would do for MTG

I wish we could get foil tokens! Besides the Marit Lage token none are foil and this saddens me very much so.

I love extended art creatures, and I wish they were packaged. Extended art spells could be another premium printing, like foil. Some packs have foil, others have extended art spells, and a foil extended art spell would be like a double premium.

I kind of want to see Planeswalker specific cards or cards that interact with Planeswalkers. I was tinkering around with the idea in Magic Set Editor.

For example;

Jace's Cunning 1uu
Instant
Counter target spell. If you control a Planeswalker named Jace draw a card.

Dark Loyalty xbbb
Sorcery
Put X loyalty counters on target Planeswalker you control. You lose X life.

I wish Token cards were included in every booster and pack.

Lower power creep. I really thought shards was the block to do it. It did...to an extent. Another few things:

-reprint Counterspell in standard.
-continue making awesome duel decks
-continue thinking of all of us EDH players when making new cards
-continue the art direction, but also recognize art should match the card (Foglio for life!)

That's an idea I've had. I had one for Vess where you sacrifice a creature and put a loyalty counter on her.

I lol'd. Seriously though, I'd like to see foil tokens. Not sure how I feel about extended art spells in packs though. It would be a nightmare having to pause drafts to get people people Oracle text for spells because there isn't anything printed on the spell itself. More squirrels need to be printed IMO.

I should clarify. Power creep down, but if it must continue, then Counterspell should return. Also, more squirrels should happen. Possibly when we go to that plane where everything is tiny? Squirrels can be their natural size and be like frickin' behemoths.

Goyf at uncommon and Baneslayer at normal rare in the next set.

Basically i wish wizards would keep reprinting the most expensive cards until they are dirt cheap so people wouldn't whine here all day "goyf 500000$ zomg".

I would like boosters at U$S 2.

And i don´t want basic lands in boosters pack, or rules inserts, just 14 cards anda a token woulde be fine, thanks. Also, i wish they eliminate the mythic rarity, wich totally sucks.

I remember when there was alternative art for some cards. I thought that was a great idea. Bring it back!

  • Make the Basic supertype applicable for non-land cards.
  • Either turn Instant into a supertype or eliminate it completely in preference of flash.
  • Send protection the way of fading and fear and replace it with a more intuitive set of abilities.
  • Make indestructible and unblockable actual static abilities rather than qualities of an object.
