Default Fluctuator Combo

K, I think we all know what goes on with this deck. I only built this deck because I'm a cheap jerk who doesn't like to spend money, but has recently accquired a playset of FoW's off a...friendly wager.
Deck
Creatures:
4x Keeneye Aven
4x Cloud of Faeries
4x Drifting Djinn
4x Sandbar Merfolk
4x Sandbar Serpent
4x Primoc Escapee
4x Shoreline Rager
4x Viscera Dragger
4x Street Wraith

Spells:
3x Fluctuator
3x Force of Will
1x Haunting Misery
Lands:
4x Blasted Landscape
4x Polluted Mire
4x Remote Isle
4x Drifting Meadows
1x Swamp
Sideboard:
4x Swat
3x Gilded Light
2x Rebuild
2x Ravenous Trap
2x Pithing Needle
1x Force of Will
1x Engineered Explosives
Any help fixing this deck a smidge would be great. Thanks!

Might want to look into some of these:

Ancient Tomb - allows turn 1 Fluctuator
Lotus Petal - allows turn 1 Fluctuator
Songs of the Damned - allows you to actually cast your kill spell

Also, any reason you're not running Fluctuator as a 4-of? The deck dies pretty quick without it.

This is my first time seeing this deck and I kind of like it.
I feel like the problem is the land base coming in tapped.

I would do this:
- 4 drifting meadows
- 4 Any creatures
- 3 Force of Will (Yes, I would) because they kind of slow you down
+ 1 Fluctuator because you need it badly
+ 4 Dark Ritual, see why below
+ 1 Haunting Misery, if you need to play 2.
+ 5 swamps

I could see this deck having a Turn 1 win with:
- Play swamp, Dark Ritual, Fluctuator
- Cycles as much as you can until you can play a second dark ritual (with the remaining mana) and haunting misery.
You may have to play 2 haunting misery if you haven't cycled enough creatures. In this case, you'll need more dark rituals and the second haunting misery, it is why you need to keep cycling.

I am not sure if this can work, but I would try to play test it and figure out what starting hands are good for me.

cloud of faeries vs. some of the other cards in there???? it cycles and if you play it, it untaps two lands. I'd certainly remove another cycler before that one. songs of the damned might be a good inclusion at one of..it would allow a lethal corrupt or something if you preferred that route (profane command is pretty decent, too).

My bad... I did realize cloud of faeries could be cycled. I'll change my message.
Plenty of other options then.

No, no, no and no. Nothing besides Tendrils of Agony can be used as a win-con in Fluctuator decks.

People got attracted to Legacy, becouse they realized that they can play a cool Eternal format for cheap. Result: now we have two cool and expensive Eternal Formats.

It would. The only way to play Fluctuator is Storm. If you play Fluctuator, but not Storm, you are a n00b.

And if you flame instead of being constructive, you're a troll. -C_c

Been looking at the deck a bit and I seem to find that adding 1 or 2 lotus petals and using banefire as the main kill-spell causes more wins, even tho it's harder to pull off on average. Especially since nobody seems to care if you drop fluctuator or lotus petal
But I might be wrong ...

how do you play tendrils as a win in a fluctuator deck? you're activating abilities, not casting spells

You are casting spells like, Dark Ritual, Fluctuator, Lotus Petal, Reaping the Graves, Empty the Catacombs, Songs, etc. 10+ spells total. Lethal Tendrils.

As panda said, shoreline ranger is the one to remove as they are island cycling.
