The issue is *anti*-flying. This includes removing flying, doing more damage to flying, targeting flying creatures, etc. Green has traditionally been strongest in this, since it rarely gets flying creatures (also why it gets a lot of Reach), but red has seen some of it over the years, and not just as part of Time Spiral.

I'm going to have to say that that using this definition, blue wins the cake on anti-flying... I can't think of any creature that would do more damage to flying creatures than creatures with flying...

First strike says hi. The situation you describe is also a 2- or 3-1 for your opponent. AND they gain 5 life. Not exactly ideal.

Good point, I just wanted to state that there are a lot of fliers in blue, and that statistically speaking, blue will be doing the most damage to fliers (especially in U vs U matchups).

Me stopping being a jerk, green is historically the spider color, with Giant Spiders, Spider webs, and spinneret slivers and also the hurricane color. Red can get some fringe benefits, but it's green core.
