You can't win the game and your opponents can't lose the game. His slaves Crave Death more than they desire freedom. He denies them both.

I collect: Vedalken Heretic, Lorescale Coatl, Reaper King, Worldslayer, Woodwraith Corrupter, Lorthos, the Tidemaker. Soon to collect Conquering Manticore.
I demanded a Manticore, and Wizards delivered. I now demand a Chimaera. The REAL one, not, Chimeric items. I also demand a new Gorgon. And more Manticores please.
You can always get rid of it with your own kicked Gatekeeper of Malakir. At the very least, each of the mythics in this set has made me grin when I first saw them, that is a good sign.
It will certainly make multiplayer games strange, especially when you have people fighting to keep him alive so they don't die.
In limited, the card is a huge gamble and probably not worth it.
In constructed, it could have applications. There are plenty of ways to get this card out of play that are plenty playable (Kor skyfisher, Gatekeeper of Malakir, path, etc.)
*wipes tear* But seriously, this is an interesting twist. For once, you can drop a (relatively) early beater that your opponent actually WON'T want to get rid of. It could lead to some crazy strategies, although it might be hard even for its controller to get rid of. Too bad Baneslayer (almost) completely walls this, though.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Oho! Now THIS is something to write home about. It's not every day that your opponents spend a Negate to save one of YOUR guys from your OWN removal.
Cheap enough that it can come down early and be easily defended, I don't even think BSA is that much of a reason to worry about this guy. I think the biggest concern is whether you can build a deck that's solid enough on its own, yet still capable of deploying and removing this at will. Esper, maybe?
Between this guy and the wurm I'm starting to believe there's a lot of design space worth exploring in magic.
And it feels like somebody is going to break this fella in half.
Should be called "sadistic demon" "I will be played soon, I will pummel you quick and what are you gonna do? Remove me? MWAHAHAHAHA"
Delicious and dangerous, like The Clogger.

6/6
Well, this is certainly interesting. I kinda like it as long as you can get rid of it. I love the Black drawback.
Problem: Doesn't solve Baneslayer issue (Demon).

Interesting and powerful
this looks crazy good.
looking foward to some legacy abuse also.
Edit: That's pretty cool art too.
Edit: That guy would be awesome if combat damage still used the stack.
Secondly, this card is awesome. The flavor is just sadistic. A 6/6 Flying, Trample who's only drawbacks matter when you've already got the game won??
C'mon, this is great. Something as simple as Unsummon gets him off the Battlefield, but there are a ton of sac effects.
I'm a fan.

I lol'd.
So hard.

This card is so cool.
Edit: and lol at the whole "dies to removal" issue. The mythics in this set are really well done.
It's difficult to really judge how this guy will play out, but as long as you can get rid of him at some point he should be insane.
You can ramp out this guy on turn 3 pretty consistently and he'll definitely punish your opponent severely if they kept a no-removal hand.
In fact, if he gets in a couple times for 6 damage your opponent will be very hesitant to kill him which will create some hilarious situations :p.

What does damage on the stack have to do with him?
