I don't really get the love for Survival. I've played it in cube and constructed and it's a strong card but not the most broken in the world. Usually it plays really well with other more broken cards.
It is a great first pick, because it plays so well with other cards and because creatures in cube offer answers to most things.

Ya, it's either a tutor for really powerful creature, answers to various board states, or a great combo card with reanimation effects. It's one of green's best (if not the best) first picks.
I think the most insane card no body plays in blind creeper....but....:D

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I am petitioning for the end of: the Mythic rarity, the Planeswalker card type, the post-8th edition card faces, the 2010 rule changes, colorless cards that aren't artifacts or lands, the Legendary supertype, the stack, auras, multicolor cards, artifact creatures, tokens, goblins, merfolk, elves, sorceries, instants, and permanents. Basically, I just want to play with purple contraptions.

This list really confirms how much work my green section needs. No eternal witness, no genesis, no sylvan library, no survival of the fittest, no tooth and nail, not to mention a bunch of other cards that some people strongly advocate for like rude awakening or life from the loam. I think I'll have to value green a little bit higher during my next round of purchases. Also, because of all of those missing cards, take my list with a grain of salt.
[deck]
Other notes:
For me, Terastodon is the new card to ramp into. I would pick it over all the alternatives like Tooth and Nail, Woodfall Primus or Rude Awakening.
Speaking of Rude, that didn't make my list this year.
Also, Gurzigost is still my favorite green creature for 5 mana. It's probably the most insane card nobody plays.
Dude. Seriously. Gurzigost is insanity. I need to get my paws on one, he's going in.
Secondly. This is the part where I'm happy I cracked a Terastodon during the Worldwake Pre-Re. Word.
Silent Edge's Tidbits of Wisdom: The Lewis Theory - When the presence of a single card makes every other card in your deck better (see Lewis, Ray). The Rubber Edict - You'd rather have it and not use it, than need it and not have it. The Shotgun Wedding - Don't commit early unless you absolutely have to.
Secondly. This is the part where I'm happy I cracked a Terastodon during the Worldwake Pre-Re. Word.
My buddy and I were skeptical on Terastodon's inclusion, but since we did he's been an absolute house. I saw a dude play him on turn five the other day, destroying three of his own lands. Facing down a 9/9 and three 3/3's is nothing to laugh at when you've got an empty board.
I really dont get why Tarmogoyf is a high pick. Its an expensive card and amazing in constructed, but i dont see why its so high in Cube draft.
Because it's typically a 3/4 to 4/5 for 1G. He's fantastic.
It's a splashable beater that makes the final cut in pretty much every deck that can add green mana to its mana pool (even control)... which makes it a great pick early, and a very unlikely card to table.

I felt like this list was the easiest so far. The top six instantly fell into place. From 15 down, the order is kind of flluid and would certainly depend on my mood and what I felt like playing that draft. My HMs could easily make it into my top 20 on another day.
I guess the biggest changes to my list between this year and last year is how far Rude Awakening has fallen and how high I'm ranking Sylvan Library. I like Awakening a lot, but it's not as busted as I used to believe. It does usually win you the game, but 8-mana spells should win you the game. Sylvan Library is not much worse than SDT.

I'll give you "highly regarded". There's still some numbers and votes that need to be ironed out
Yeah, it might not finish number one, but a rough count had it first in 11 of the 18 lists submitted. Either way it sits in that sweet spot of aggravation. Just cheap enough to seem attainable but expensive enough to be a card I'm really unlikely to get my hands on. Mana Drain and Library of Alexandria are expensive enough to be pipe dreams, and something like Genesis is cheap enough that I can prolly get it.
Top 6 was easy for me. The following mana fixers like Harrow, Tusker and all the Elves were harder to rate. But they are high picks for me. Finishers are easy to come by, but good fixing and acceleration is the basis of a great green deck.
For the record:
* Cards like Behemoth Sledge count as a multi/hybrid and NOT as an artifact.
* The Alpha/Beta/Unlimited Moxes are counted as a single entry, not as individuals.
* Luckily, we won't face it for 2010, but we might have to talk about how Eldrazi Colorless spells will fit in. Will the "Artifact" Group become "Artifact/Colorless"? This seems the most logical and likely scenario (much like gold/multi changed once hybrid cards were added to the mix).
EDIT: * Crystal Shard and Vedalken Shackles will NOT be included with Artifacts -- they were both included during Blue's Voting.

I think that the artifact section has the strongest P1P1 list, because colorless cards make such good early choices and go in every deck. So all 20 of these cards are probably stronger than cards 9-20 on every other list so far (except maybe blue). Also, I love Mox Diamond. Fixing + Ramp goes in every single deck, and I value it really high. The rest of the list is pretty self-explanatory I think... I still find it stunning that there are so few cubes that don't auto-include Scroll Rack; that card's the nuts.
Note: Both Crystal Shard and Vedalken Shackles would've made this list if they weren't voted on as blue cards.
