Just imagine that little bugger kid sitting across from you cry as you use a 2 mana instant to get rid their pride and joy: A 15 mana fattie. Needless to say, I'd be totally fine watching their anguish as I do that, but wizards feels the need to cater to the young guns now
They're not going to suck anything out of standard, they won't see play.
You obviously don't know my crew....to them, these things are orgasmic. Like, I got lectured last week by two guys. Mainly because I said that they were wrong in saying that "there is no reason for every standard deck to play Ulamog's Crusher as a 1 or 2 of." Apparently standards tight-nit control decks have to find room for a non-evasive, win-more card and aggro decks need to sink 8 mana into a card that's going to eat a Terminate, Doom Blade, or Counterspell....Yeah, they make so much sense...This is why I hate timmys.

I like timmies, especially when this happens:
"I sink 10 mana into this huge dude."
"Sure."
"Yours."
"End of turn, Path your dude."
"What does that do?"
"It exiles your creature."
"Why would you do that? You're taking the fun out of the game. *folds*"
Do we know anymore about the 4/4 vampire? It seems to me like it'll probably fit in the "I have a big body but have a drawback thing". I'm looking at you Morooi, Illusory Demon and friends...I think if its drawback isn't too bad (which I doubt it will be), it might find a home in Vamps.deck
Sac at end of combat if it blocks/is blocked by a creature with power 1 or less.
Can we PLEASE move off the token wagon, though? if I see another G/X Spawn Ramp deck, I'm gonna shoot myself. Play REAL token decks, people. Decks like Ghost Dad and Teysa Control, you know, decks that ROCK and aren't mass-produced (pun not intended, but I'll take what I can get).
Won't happen. Wizards is on this "TIMMY" kick with Rise of the Eldrazi. Just imagine that little bugger kid sitting across from you cry as you use a 2 mana instant to get rid their pride and joy: A 15 mana fattie.
Consuming Vapors is good enough for me. If I let them survive to 15 mana I did something terribly wrong... Also there's an amusing Eldrazi hoser at 1G that could mitigate non-Ulamog Eldrazi creeps.
Also, apparently a whole bunch of cards just flooded the mill so I'm gonna go through 'em now. (Edit: Nix that, they're pretty much all terrible.)

Alrighty, your in for a huge rant now
I hate timmys train of thought. Its stupid in my mind. I'm sorry if your a timmy and don't take offense to any of it, but its a waste. Its not efficient.
Once, I was playing at FNM. I had Jund. Our resident Timmy player had decided to play Mono Red Land Destruction. I ran over him game one, and he started throwing a near temper tantrum. While sideboarding, he was slamming cards around saying how much he hates Jund and stuff. He then proceeded to lecture me game 2 about how I personally take the fun out of the game by playing Jund and that how I am like the only one to play Tier 1 competitive decks at what used to be a causal FNM location. Another proceeded to lecture me during said game saying how before people like me showed up, everyone played homebrew and no one played Tier 1 stuff. I argued saying that while they liked to build decks, I played the game because I like winning and I like playing Junds. They said that was not the point of the game and that's why I take the fun out of the game. Of course, I argued back saying that that wasn't what was fun for me and that they were asses for telling me what to find fun. Needless to say, I lost game 2 because I couldn't focus. Game three, I lost due to mana screw on my part and two Ruinblaster Goblins. I scooped while getting stuck on one land. I got up and just walked away as those two guys started taunting me saying "Yeah, Jund is the best deck" and "Tier 1 is the greatest" and stuff. Keep in mind, this is the second time this guy did that to me, ironically with the same decks too. This is the same guy who last time it happened when I lost to his land destruction deck, I got quiet and was obviously annoyed and he lectured about being a sore loser, when he's the one who always *****es and cries when he looses....[/rant]
(Edit: Nix that, they're pretty much all terrible.)
I like Keening Stone, actually. And if you are running mill spells like Archive Trap/Tome Scour, etc then Cast Through Time might actually be usable (assuming you get to the point in the game where you could actually cast it...)
Pfft. Tell them to put up or shut up. Look, I hate Jund too. Like, I HATE it. I can't WAIT until it rotates out. But I don't hate the people who PLAY Jund. They have every right to play it if they want to. If anything, it's kind of fun to try to find ways to DEAL with those decks. Tell these idiots that if they don't like it, they are free to go play somewhere else.

Me too. Keening Stone is cool!

I just usually brush them off and ignore them for the most part. I like Jund, but in no way shape or form do I love it. In fact, I start to get annoyed playing it at times mainly because of how annoying the oppositio is when they cry about me playing it. When I don't play control, I either play Vampires or Jund and I played the hell out of Vampires for a while so its Jund. Luckily, I have two control decks, UW and Grixis, both of which are phenomenal, so I'm happy
I'm a Johnny/Spike. You'll see me running decks with all the money cards (probably with a lot of foil or Russian print cards), and also playing something like Roiling Terrain in Gobs or some other overlooked card in a tier 1.5-2 deck. I do, however, pride myself in being able to ditch ideas that don't actually work. I only start to get annoyed with decks when the over-polarize the format (I'm looking at you, 1.x dredge season from hell). Honestly, I don't mind Jund's existence, I'll just never bother putting it together because it's too much of a known quantity (unless I think I can tweak it). Keeps me from getting bored. (Incidentally, Vampires with Blightning is so much fun to play.)

Keening Stone is 11 mana! I just don't see it comparing to the Jacerator mill strategies, or even to Haunting Echoes (Yes, you, the Odyssey MBC throw away, and you thought we'd forgotten about you! Ha!). Also, Cast Through Time is kind of like Twincast for merely, what, 7 mana? The only card I see supporting that one is Time Warp.
There's definitely some ROE cards I'm a fan of though. Some of them you'd never guess.

RB Vamps is awesome. Blightning is the sauce. So is cascading into a Nocturnus with a Bituminous Blast.

Standard, hell no. EDH...it might be an option...When you only have 1 ofs, it can literally screw a deck over Though its an artifact, its very black mana style.
@ Auron about his rant: where do you live? I want to punch that guy?
About new cards: I am truly in love with EDH now and these cards seem amazing in it, I wanna make a monoblue deck now...
EDIT: Also played a 2HG game today, 4 token decks, I was loosing (one opponent had around 2k 1/1 tokens the other had a few 100s/100s creatures (under 20) and I had about 80 cretures.)
I asked him to give me 5 turns, he agreed because I didn't kill him off earlier when I had the chance (I technicly still could but we both wanted to see what we could end up doing). Imagine a saproling deck, with 3 paradox hazein play. I present you Mirrorweave. 2 of them. We stopped one turn after the calculator started using scientific notation. I remember 3.89..... X 10^20...
Idk, the guys in my area don't believe that Tardazi will ever see standard play. I beg to differ. I've seen some retarded amounts of mana accel they can pull off, it's sickening...
Eldrazi R/G
Rush your way to an Omnath, start floating mana around...give it Bear Umbra, and you should have Eldrazi legends by T5 or 6...and by then I don't believe Jund or Vamps can win.

Thanks so much to Xenoninja @ Heroes of The Planes for my sweet sig!
Thanks to SGT_Chubbz @ Damnation Studios for the awesome avvy!
Normally I hate the way wotc is pushing creatures into extremes just to get standard players to use them. However Zendikar and Worldwake were such disappointments for me that ROE is actually looking like Future Sight (one of my all time favorite sets). I'm actually considering going to the prerelease.
Once we change threads, I vote we use the art of Consume the Meek as our new thread banner. Black mass removal calls for celebration! :toot::toot:

They may see play but there seem to be some gaping wholes in your projected sequence of events. Namely, that you'll have an opponent.
In other news, the full visual spoiler is up! Yay!
In other news, Wizard's site crashed! Lulz!
Now to figure if I really want to order another box...
New thread time. I was holding out for Rise of the Eldrazi so I could find the best black art I could for the thread. Since we can't find hellcarver Demon's art yet, I went with DBs idea for our new sweeper. Enjoy:
This makes me smile...

Counterspell isn't mana denial... Now Hoodwink, that is some kind of awesome.
The spawn tokens and their producers are pretty much all terrible. I am still a big fan of Siege-Gang Commander, and I also like Avenger of Zendikar and Martial Coup. I do kind of miss Promise of Bunrei though...

Fun
I'm a Spike too, and I just find Timmies funny.
Especially with their 4 Progenitus and 4 Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker and only basic lands in the deck...
