you need an Internet Connection, and in MOST cases need to be utilizing a Machine capable of at least Proxying a recent version of Windows.

I believe the minimum requirement is Windows XP?

Default Trouble with Kicker

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, and having a bit of a problem with the kicker I can't figure out. I'm hoping y'all can help.

I am using 64-bit Windows, in desktop res 1920 x 1080.

When I launch the kicker, the graphics are messed up. I've attached a snip of my desktop so you can see what I'm talking about.

Any ideas what's causing this and how to fix it?

Many thanks!

When I click on MTGO v3 it goes straight to the error saying "The latest version of Magic Online's 'Kicker' program could not be downloaded." It won't launch the MTGO launch/repair window at all and I've checked there server and its up. So what can I do to fix this?

Thank you so much for that. Yeah I recently just got 2 different viruses from sites I know surprisingly. Was wondering why Google Chrome and IE wasn't working but, FireFox was.

Open IE > Tools > Internet Options > Connections Tab > Click Lan Settings > Uncheck everything except Automatically Detect Stttings. Thats all I did and it fixed it for me.

I've been having problems recently. The program seems to hang/lag in battle. It's fine up until about right after the first turn. Then it just hangs, and becomes unresponsive.

Has this happened to anyone else?

The server isn't down and I'm getting the same message,

"Internet Problem
The latest version of Magic Online's 'Kicker" program could not be downloaded.

Why can this program not be downloaded? There is no issue with my internet/LAN connections.

I recommend calling Wizards of the Coast Customer Service.

I'm having the exact same problem. To further elaborate. I can draft, build decks look at my collection, do trades all fine and without problem. Once I start a match, I lag to the point of timing out.

Any tips, customer service has been useless

EDIT: They sent me to

Ever since the last downtime, I have not been able to get in...I keep getting timeout messages while updating. Anyone else having this problem (or better yet, anyone else have this problem and solve it)?

EDIT: It ended up being my connection. I had to reset my router.

Hey. So I've been playing on MODO on my machine for some time now, but now it's acting stupid to be honest. Basically, when I enter my information, I click connect and I sit there forever waiting for it to log me in. Sometimes, I wait for 18 mins+ and it does nothing, other times it tells me that my date/time may not be correct, but I sync that before I open the program!

I'm starting to get rather annoyed, and I tried submitting a report as suggested at the beginning of the thread, but that page isn't loading. I'm running Vista (yes, I know. Please don't make too much fun of me) and I have the latest SP and just finished updating my computer.

I'm thinking that maybe my router is blocking out the traffic to wizards, but I honestly don't know enough about that stuff to pretend to talk about it. Is there a way to tell if this is happening?

I installed MTGO today, but I can't open the program.

Apparently there is a problem with .NET Framework. I have installed the latest version (4.0, on Windows XP), but now I get this error message :

"Renamer. EXE - .Net Framework Initialization Error
Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application."

Any solutions ?

What the ☺☺☺☺ is this ☺☺☺☺?

Okay, I thought I'd give it a try. I have only poor options to play Magic in my area. So I bought MtGO. Or so I thought. I paid it. And I got nothing. I wrote to support. The paypal-payment "didn't get through". What the ☺☺☺☺? After some emails they activated my account manually. I tried clicking on collection. The programm crashed. I fixed this error after 2 hours.
So I tried playing a draft. I had to buy 3 SOM-Boosters for it. I did. But I did not get them. Write to support - again. "Orders may have trouble getting through when non-english characters are used". Okaaay, I spelled my name without non-english characters. I can not rename in Paypal. I tried ordering one event ticket.
It did not work. It's been 5 days now I've been trying to make this work. Support can not help me.

I give up. The client is absolutely ☺☺☺☺ty, the payment system just does what it wants and I don't want this ☺☺☺☺ anymore. At least support's friendly.

Why'd you use a nonenglish name? You do know wizards is primarily an ENGLISH company, and due to the fact MTGO only offers it's services to USA residents (as for redemption and the like)

I dont see why it crashed on the collection, but the client is at large, a piece of crap to most, if not all of it's users.

You're able to play MTGO best if you have a Credit/debit card. Paypal does work, but it is slow and unreliable half the time.

Good luck if you choose to try again.

Because I am non-english and never had problems with ü ä or ö (the later one in my name) ever at any program (well okay, that's not entirely true. But paying was NEVER an issue.)? It did not even work with it spelled as oe, and I can not rename myself in paypal. Besides, it would be stupid to do that because I just sometimes have to spell it the right way when using paypal.
Redemption and the likes are also offered to people not in the states like myself, it's just a little bit more expensive.

Cannot and do not want to do that due to personal reasons. :/
If you offer paying via paypal, make sure it works. That's at least what I've been thinking.

Don't think so, but thank you. Waiting for support now, maybe they can tell me what went wrong. Again.
