How is Forgotten Ancient? I have him on my list, but he hasn't actually been in the draft yet. I remember him being nutso in OLS drafts, but that format was a bit slower than most cubes.
Any particular reason Sword of Light and Shadow doesn't make the cut, or do you just not have one yet?
(Also, your blue/red section is filed with your allied combinations instead of the enemies.)
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
Looks like a nice list, although top-heavy and your gold section is really weird.
What kind of comments are you looking for and what are your future plans for your cube?
Both of us started out playing big, clunky green decks so as a result, well the cube is top heavy lol. The gold section we just pick cards we like and don't like (thus the random numbers for each colour combo).
Feedback wise we are just looking for any suggestions you may have for cards we possibly missed. I guess we don\t really have a plan for the future. We just want to find cards that amuse us and let it evolve as the new sets come out...sorry that answer is so vague lol.

Forgotten Ancient is fairly slow but so is our cube so its a good fit. If you are running a faster cube I may keep him out or put him in on a trial period just to see how it does.
We keep meaning to put Sword of Light and Shadow in but forget lol, don't know why. It will probably make it in eventually.
Thanks for the heads up, i'll fix the section

forgotten ancient does not seem very good. maybe on turn 6 he will be a 3/3 for 4? not sounding so good.
Part of the reason it's still in is that it's one of those cards my buddy just likes!
You desperately need to cut down your black 2cc spells, IMO. Have you ever tallied the number of targets you have for Smother? You seem to only have aggro support in Red, so that makes Smother really, really subpar. Same thing goes for Nameless Inversion. Cruel Edict and Dance of the Dead are another two you could do without.
I'd bring in Nekrataal to replace some of the removal you're losing, and add in 3 2cc creatures. Really, I think any of them would be an improvement over ZERO, but specifically Dark Confidant is a huge omission. Then again, he may be terrible in your cube thanks to the high cost of everything.
EDIT - No Phyrexian Arena either? No Graveborn Muse? Do you guys just not like drawing cards? Those effects are really powerful, and if its the life loss that concerns you, I'd strongly urge you to reconsider. The only life point that matters is the last one.
I'm having a hard time getting a grip on this cube in general, but I think the black 2 drops constitute a good place to start looking for improvements.
in my opinion, "unfun" effects are really just effects a player doesn't understand how to use or how to beat. i'd rather understand (and play with others who understand) how to use and beat powerful effects than simplify the cube so no one has to.
For all I know, you are Kai Budde and for all you know I'm John Finkel. It doesn't matter. What matters is your logical argument for or against the card in question.
Believe it or not, we have actually run most of those cards at one time or another. Last list we were running I think was more “traditional.” Will have to go over any of the following changes with co-owner before I actually make the swaps.

We had Shackles in for a while but it didn’t work very well. We mostly Winston and end up playing 2-3 colour decks (last 5 decks have been 3+ colours).
We were never really impressed with Force Spike but it’s been over a year since we tried it. Show and Tell has only been in the cube a week but hasn’t been part of the packs yet. Still want to see how it goes, but I definitely see where you are coming from.
Thanks for your suggestions and time! I will have to double-check with the co-owner before I can make any changes then will post later.
Dance of the Dead and Cruel Edict aren't cards I hate, just cards that I don't think that there's space for in cubes that aren't running at least 500 cards. Edict effects are powerful, but certainly not so powerful that you need to start running Cruel amongst them. Same thing with Dance - Reanimator can be powerful, but you don't need to shove the theme down your cube's throat to get it to work, and Dance is just...well, bad. It makes you lose most of the tempo that you gained by cheating whatever terrible beast you have into play, forcing you to pay for every untap step. It just isn't worth it. Those cards are actually part of a pretty long list of cards in your black section that I just don't think are good enough in a cube this small.
Those are 12 cards I'd drop, so here's the 12 cards I think I'd add. This is assuming you don't intend to support black aggro, since your current list does not. If you do wish to change that, you'll need a bunch of 1-drops (Sarcomancy, Carnophage, Vampire Lacerator, etc.)
Even if you don't have these cards, I think you can find better fits than the 12 cuts I suggested, especially those 3 drops that only work in dedicated aggro since you have no aggro package. (Necrogen Scudder, Chittering Rats)
I guess my biggest problem with your black section is that it feels like I have to play reanimator if I draft it, and I just don't like narrowing a color's entire identity down to a single theme. Black decks can do more than raise the dead, and even if they couldn't, reanimator doesn't need to play 7 of that effect in order to execute its game plan.

Excellent changes, except for the addition of Hedron Crab and Nest Invader. Those cards look very poor. Overall though, fantastic job. I really like the boost black got in this update.

Braids is awesome, and Thieving Magpie is a champ. Nekrataal might not be good enough in a list as small as this one, but I'd definitely give him a shot. He's really good.
This is everything in my cube that I consider support for black aggro. Some of them work in control/midrange too, and I don't have the MBS stuff that I want yet, but the list might give you some ideas. I'm also working on getting a Sinkhole, which would be a great addition. In general, discard is the way to go in black if you really want to push aggro. Some good advice I was given was to balance black at about 50% creatures and 50% noncreatures, so I'd aim for that as well.
I quickly scanned your artifacts looking for aggro support - I think you need to bring in Ankh of Mishra, Smokestack, and Grafted Wargear (Especially Grafted Wargear. It's soooo good.) soon if you want to push aggro.
Can you explain what's going on in your multicolor section? I don't get why some of the guilds have no cards while others have 4. At this size, I think I'd aim to have 3 business spells per color combination, so that might give you some more room in the colors. (Maybe not though, if you aren't counting the blank sections in your tally)

There really isn't a specific way were are doing the multicolour section. We mostly just take cards that we like and put them and take cards we think aren't performing out (probably why the much of the cube is bizarre lol). A while back, I think two or three years, we tried to keep specific numbers (I think it was 3 per guild, maybe 50 per colour) but we found we didn't like enough cards and considered some of them to be filler.
I am not sure that I want to go back to the fixed system and co-owner doesn't want anything to do with it. One thing I do want is to even up the creature/non-permanent ratio a little more but co-owner thinks its working fine...

Blue sees play pretty much every match actually. I will take another look through them and see if anything catches my eye.
I'd be willing to give Ankh of Mishra a shot.
**Smokestack was $18 so we didn't get it and Grafted Wargear was out of stock...but we got the Ankh of Mishra. Played a couple of games but didn't see it, can't wait to have it in a game now!
Emissary - I don't like that you can't ramp when you want to.
Voltaic Key- Not enough synergy to justify its inclusion, IMO. Will be insane 1 or 2 times, and mediocre to terrible every other time.
Eladamri's Call - You can do so much better in this color combination, but that's really my only objection.
The Mad - This guy gets a lot of love, but seeing as he effectively only has 1 power (since as far as I can tell that's the only one anyone uses), I don't think he's that great. I guess worth a shot, but I certainly wouldn't run him at 360 cards.

I can see where you are coming from. We have got Sarkhan Vol in about 10 matches, and only once or twice has he been good (I swung for 11 with tokens ftw). The rest of the time He will probably see play again soon. Sarkhan the Mad we got in one game last night, turned a Mogg Fanatic into a dragon. Eladmri's Call saw play too, my buddy fetched something (maybe Keiga, can't remember).
My thought behind Viridian Emissary was you either force the opponent to take damage or you get land. Voltaic Key we have had in before, just want to give it a quick test run. I can see both of them being out fairly quickly.
Oh and we got Thieving Magpie in a game, he carried a Jitte...he was amazing. And as always, I appreciate your input!
The Mad - This guy gets a lot of love, but seeing as he effectively only has 1 power (since as far as I can tell that's the only one anyone uses)
the guy is proving to be very difficult to find, so i haven't tested him yet. but from what i've heard people use all three abilities. make a dragon, deal direct damage with that dragon, cantrip (and repeat if you draw lands). or make two dragons, or try your luck at drawing a few cards depending on the situation. or make them sac grave titan.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.

What kind of comments are you looking for and what are your future plans for your cube?
Any particular reason Sword of Light and Shadow doesn't make the cut, or do you just not have one yet?
(Also, your blue/red section is filed with your allied combinations instead of the enemies.)
Part of the reason it's still in is that it's one of those cards my buddy just likes!

Smother is something I want out, as is Nameless Inversion but my co-manager likes Nameless a lot...will have to push him. Why do you think Cruel Edict and Dance of the Dead should be out?
Nekrataal I like, he was taken out of the cube a while back. Same goes for Plague Sliver. Also think Graveborn Muse should be back in...same with Phyrexian Arena[/card. Nantuko Shade should be back in, not sure what other two drops I have in the collection atm, think just Mesmeric Fiend and Child of Night.
I like. A lot.
Vesuvan Shapeshifter and Inkwell Leviathan haven’t been seeing much play. So they are both hopefully out now. I have been pushing to get Sphinx of Jwar Isle back in for a few months. Thieving Magpie is a card we haven’t tried but will look into.
Only card we haven’t tried of these is Repeal. Venser has been in and out, he is now going back in (for Withdraw). May try the other two again.
I agree.
We had Shackles in for a while but it didn’t work very well. We mostly Winston and end up playing 2-3 colour decks (last 5 decks have been 3+ colours).
Co-owner likes these cards too much to swap. We have both been wanting to get Upheavel back in though.
.
Personally I don’t like Submerge but the co-owner likes it. Mind Harness is still in the testing phase, want to give it a few more rounds.
.
Putting Cryptic, Mystical Tutor and Impulse back in for sure.
I want them both (especially Capsize) back in, have to check with co-owner.

Cheers, forgot to put in Braids, Cabal Minion and Thieving Magpie. I am for Nekrataal but co-owner is on the fence for it. I am big on Nantuko Shade but co-owner isn't so. We unfortunately just traded our Bloodghast in part of the buying Thrun, the Last Troll. If we were thinking about making black more aggro who would you include other than Sacromency, Vampire Lacerator and Carnophage?

I am not sure that I want to go back to the fixed system and co-owner doesn't want anything to do with it. One thing I do want is to even up the creature/non-permanent ratio a little more but co-owner thinks its working fine...
I really like the looks of Grafted Wargear, Smokestack and some of the black cards (like Fledgling Djinn and Dauthi Horror. Will be showing co-owner the aggro package when I get a chance!

Ankh of Mishra is better than you seem to think it is. I think it's good enough to play at 360 cards, and I'd definitely test it if I were you.
I'd be willing to give Ankh of Mishra a shot.

**Smokestack was $18 so we didn't get it and Grafted Wargear was out of stock...but we got the Ankh of Mishra. Played a couple of games but didn't see it, can't wait to have it in a game now!

...and I'd keep Sarkhan Vol.
And as always, I appreciate your input!

the guy is proving to be very difficult to find, so i haven't tested him yet. but from what i've heard people use all three abilities. make a dragon, deal direct damage with that dragon, cantrip (and repeat if you draw lands). or make two dragons, or try your luck at drawing a few cards depending on the situation. or make them sac grave titan.
Eladamri's Call is always solid, but it's weak compared to other WG cards. I mean, it just doesn't stack up to:
So I'd have to be running 10 WG before I'd even consider it. Even then, there are still a few cards that probably make the cut over it.

Yep, that site is fantastic for picking up random singles, in particular common and uncommon foils and the like.
On spoiled card wishlisting and 'should-have-had'-isms:
Really like how Sarkhan the Mad is playing atm.
Cheers Nof, i'll look into it! Do you know if they ship to Canada?
(btw, meant to get back to this earlier but my internet was down all yesterday)

Voltaic Key was just to narrow (as pointed out earlier in the thread). Baloth just didn't seem to be playing very well anymore.
Finally found Wargear and been wanting to try Gauntlet for awhile.
