I've had this Drana deck for a long time, and recently got back into the game, so I gave it a bit of an update from the last three or so years of cards. It's kind of a Voltron build inside a MBC shell, aiming to set up a protected board (at least as protected as possible for Commander) for Drana to come out and beat faces.
I'm not sure how evil you're trying to make this or what your budget is like but here are my suggestions for you:
Wayfarer's Bauble - Since the deck has so much synergy with Swamp through all the mana doublers this is a great way to get a boost early and later on you get even more value out of Coffers and other Mana Flare effects.
Insidious Dreams - Some people don't like this card much but I love it. It sets up combos and the deck has lots of card drawing to make up for the card disadvantage.
Deserted Temple - Definitely need to run this. It's fantastic with both Coffers and Thawing Glaciers.
Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth - Unless nonbasic hate is completely rampant this is a great way to get more value out of some of your other lands.
Infernal Darkness - This is just a beating for other decks as it manascrews them and they probably can't get rid of it with only black mana available. One of the best cards monoblack can run.
Expedition Map - Another great tutor that helps let you use your other tutors to get spells instead of just fetching up Thawing Glaciers or Coffers.
Bubbling Muck - Can give you a very explosive burst of mana later in the game which helps set up surprise kills with things like Exsanguinate.
Candelabra of Tawnos - A little pricey these days but it is really incredible in here.
Vedalken Orrery - This completely changes how the deck plays out and turns it from a proactive deck to a reactive one. It's just busted with tutors since your whole deck has flash and really helps to combat the blue control decks.
Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre - I think this guy should replace one of your threats. He's huge, annihilator 4 and can blow up an enchantment or artifact on his way in.
Oblivion Stone - I like to have plenty of answers to artifacts and enchantments in monoblack and this is an excellent option.
Nirkana Revenant - Another mana doubler that can also be a serious threat.
Sundering Titan - Another big threat that can completely cripple 3+ color decks.
Mind Twist/Mind Sludge - I like to run a good amount of discard and I like these the best for cards that just hit 1 player. It's really helpful combating blue control.
All is Dust - Another answer to enchantments that doubles as a creature sweeper which kill indestructibles and regenerators.
My monoblack control deck is using Maga and the link is in my sig if you want to take a look.
Good list and great suggestions as well. Also I would take out drain life for consume spirit because the extra life gain can Really matter some times. I also would take out mindslicer for myojin of night's reach because mindslicer can back fire and 8mana shouldn't be a problem in EDH also I don't know about hatred in this deck since it's built for multiplayer. If you want to one shot somebody tainted strike might be better with your general and equipment. Also since you're running all the good equipment for black I would throw in Inkmoth nexus I have seen nightmare lash/strata scythe + inkmoth win games out of nowhere. Very powerful.
@Donald: My budget is pretty open, but the Candelabra is way more than I'd want to spend on a single card for Commander, and although my group allows proxies, I typically don't do it for personal reasons. Infernal Darkness is way more evil than I'd want to be at the table. That's why I decided against putting that or Contamination in the deck when originally putting this together, even though they're fantastic cards.
I do like a lot of the other suggestions, and as I look over your Maga list and compare it to mine, I see a bunch of random aggro-ish cards in my deck that aren't really helping the deck's mission of beating face with Drana on a clean board, and would be better served as discard or spot removal to set it up. Much appreciated.
@nutterbutter: I do like the concept of the secondary infect game plan. I think I'll have to put those in and test it out. And I totally agree on Consume Spirit and the Myojin; they're pretty much strictly better.
Alright, so I finally had some time to properly look my old list over and revamp it into what's now in the OP. As always, input and feedback are greatly appreciated. I haven't had a real chance to playtest this yet, so I'm working on theory and knowledge of my current meta.
Why aren't you running Basalt Monolith with your Rings of Brighthearth to produce infinite colorless mana? Drana, Exsanguinate, and Profane Command are all kill combos here..
Hypnotic specter seems particularly underwhelming. I would say cut it for bitterblossom. I have never been disappointed with the card. Also it gives you a constant target for drana if your opponents don't have any creatures so you can get in there for the win.
