Mana packages ranging from Sol Ring, Dark Ritual, and Bubbling Muck to the standard land package of Coffers, Deserted Temple, Urborg and Petrified Field in case one gets destroyed (throw in the Grim Discovery and Crucible of Worlds as well) to the end with Nirkana Revenant AND Caged Sun. Magus of the Coffers is constantly jumping in and out of the list as it is very good but sometimes not good enough. Nirkana, by comparison, can swing for impressive damage all by herself and I don't have to wait for the mana boost. Stripmine/Ghostquarter/TecEdge are there of course. I do not have a Wasteland at the moment because I want a Korean one, same for Vampiric Tutor.
Sweepers run from a recurring Fleshbag Marauder to the rare Overwhelming Forces (mint condition, a gift from my Fiancee for our two years anniversary, love you babe). Reiver Demon was cut for not killing enough given the high number of Artifact and Black creatures often found among my opponents. Plague Wind is always looking to jump back in (pushed out by OverForces).
I also make a point of running a "catch-all" package given the very competitive meta in which I play. Ratchet Bomb, Oblivion Stone, Niv Disk, Steel Hellkite all serve as answers to things I can not profitably answer otherwise. Sadistic Sacrament, Jester's Cap and Nightmare Incursion are necessary to give me a chance against combo. Bojuka Bog and Nihil Spellbomb are invaluable as well. My deck lacks discard but it hasn't bothered me yet (though I have a foil Noxious Vapors somewhere...).
The recursion package in nice given Volrath's Stronghold, Streetwraith, Solemn, and the latest inclusion, Sheoldred who was a star last night. I actually don't like running things that are "too scary" given Bribery and such but we'll see as time goes on. Yawgmoth's Will is, of course, insanely good.
There are some personal quirks of course...Imp's Mischief, Enslave, Withering Boon...Darkness. I throw in Wall of Blood and Rite of Consumption now and then as well. I keep wanting to throw Wound Reflection in to combo with Exsanguinate but, really, Exsanguinate is good enough as is. Then there is Worldslayer, a recent addition which has resulted in hilarious game-endings coupled with Darksteel Plate. It may get cut for a Batterskull.
There are games where I get a wonderfully aggressive start and begin forcing people to Condemn/Path/Swords/Fog/Bounce/Block/etc. Skithirix and there are games where I rarely, if ever, cast him at all. Tainted Strike is a fun surprise and Grafted Exoskeleton with Bitterblossom is always good.
I've got a few other cards coming/sitting out/waiting to get in...Foil Go For the Throat, Cruel Edict, Innocent Blood, etc.. As the list gets tighter and tighter I have to keep coming up with new restrictions for the deck to make cuts easier...I'm now to the point that I don't play it if it isn't Foil, Full Art or Korean though there are a few that still aren't shiny.
I've built it from the ground-up and a buddy said I should post it here to help others/help me get perspective outside from our playgroup. I should probably cut some of the cuter stuff for more "serious business" but I enjoy it (I really hate that I had to cut Aether Snap...if I can get a Dark Depths then I'll make room for it again).
For those wondering, I don't run Necropotence due to the prevelance of Sorin Markov and Mindslaver in my meta. It's bad enough losing to an arbitrarily large number of activations of Nightmare Lash and (now) Lashwrithe equiping to my creatures until I die.
I really can't cut any more lands...it's becoming an issue. I actually had to cut Mystifying Maze for another Swamp as I was running short on Black in too many games...
I hope you like what you see...and I hope that if you don't you'll tell me.
If you need global answers, I am amazed you don't run All is Dust.
!
Ah, yes. I actually have a copy in my "cards that go in and out of the deck" box.
I took it out last time...*thinking*...because I had to put it back in my colorless artifact deck.
Haven't put it back in because I don't have a foil copy, haha. Thanks for reminding me though.
For "real" reasons I don't put it back in...it's nice to kill troublesome enchantments, but artifacts are the bigger issue for me and it does nothing against them.
There are exactly 4 cards in the history of Magic that destroy artifacts in Black. And 3 of them are terrible; if you want to run Gate to Phyrexia go for it otherwise you should be good. Although I hate Ratchet Bomb, seems slow and unwieldy.
You aren't supplementing your Poison damage all that much; Glistening Oil could be a useful little card for you. Otherwise looks good; I'm about to build monoblack myself in a few minutes once I figure out the General, lol (probably Sheoldred).

Actually, it hits a ton of stuff that I haaaaate. My fiancee has a flip/enchant general at 3. Lightning Greaves, Cloak, various aura's etc.
But most importantly, perhaps, is anything that costs 0/1. Wrecking people's Mox Diamond, Opal, Sol ring, Mana Vaults, etc.? Yes, please.

I want to work in some proliferate to be honest and I have considering Glistening Oil especially with Necroplasm. However, I basically operate the deck with Threat A) the Deck and Threat B) My General.
Opposing decks usually focus/can answer 1 but not the other at the same time.
That's reasonable, but I don't like Skithiryx as much if he's the backup plan. Hell if you toss a Doubling Cube, Magus of the Coffers, and Extraplanar Lens in there it would be a pretty sick Maga deck. So far my Skithiryx builds inevitably end up more poision/proliferate heavy because it's gross and lets you cheat the damage so strongly; generically he's still strong obviously but the regeneration is not as good as you want it to be. You might want to try a cheaper, more aggressive general like Ashling the Extinguisher who is still a fine backup plan via damage as well as being a murdering machine.
If you keep Skittles then I would strongly recommend a Contagion Engine; it gives you inevitability even off a few Inkmoth hits and can end the game rather quickly if left unchecked. Since you are already heavy control it stands to reason that you can sit back and pick people off. Double proliferate is much more disgusting than single proliferate.

Personally i think if you aren't going to 100% commit yourself to infect as your win condition I think you would have more fun with another general (like Maga, Geth etc) This way you can abuse your mana generation and win multiple different ways, which is what it looks like you want to do.
I run a Skithiryx voltronish deck for EDH right now, the only things I can win with are him and Inkmoth nexus, but infect is so consistent it works, the only other creature in the deck is Dark Confidant to draw, and O-stone/Damnation/All is Dust/Decree of Pain to clear the way if I get stalled.
The draw back to running infect and other win conditions is that if start with infect and have to switch to a different option mid game, or the other way around, all that time was wasted the infect damage is made useless (and you are now trying to figure out how to get the combo pieces or creatures you need because you tutored with winning by infect in mind) or the combo pieces you tutored for are now a waste when you could have tutored for lashwrithe or nightmare lash or an unspeakable symbol etc to get the kill.
just my 2 cents, my approach is 1 out of infinite options, which is why this game is so great really if you enjoy then keep going with it.
I would run lash writhe and strata scythe because the you're one shotting a player each turn if either sticks and you can connect. Glistening oil would be good here too.
Unspeakable Symbol and Hatred are obviously more 1v1 oriented, you can also run Nightmare Lash, really if you use Skittles as your win condition like I do, any thing that gives him +1/+1 to make him kill in 2 vs 3 hits. if you keep a wider variety setup like you currently have then wasting card space for sub par equipment isn't worth it.

He's not really the "back-up" plan. The "plan" is forcing people to choose between dealing with him or the rest of my deck.
I really do need to work something in. A buddy runs a "dedicated" infect deck with proliferation and it's pretty scary.

I've had plenty of fun with Skittles. Drana was my previous general and she was absolutely excellent. However, a friend now plays with her as the cmndr, his brother uses Maga and another regular player uses Geth.

Yeah, I've never had that issue. It actually makes a lot of my decisions easier. "Who do I set to 10 with Sorin" Well, someone already has X poison counters so NOT them. "Who do I swing at with Grave Titan and co?" Person C who doesn't have counters yet...or that I just set to 10.

I run both Lashwrite AND Nightmare Lash...*checks list* Yup, both are there. I do not run Strata Scythe because it cuts a land from my deck (which I am extremely tight on) and only counts the name of the land, not the type (which is what Urborg helps with).
It's hilarious for one and Darksteel Plate means I can keep attacking. It's a last ditch thing but I like it. Sprung it on several players and it was awesome.

I missed nightmare lash in your list, I saw the other stuff, also lol at the worldslayer thing, like I said if your having fun then I don't see any major changes or anything you could use, my deck falls on it's face a lot in multiplayer, I control with discard and removal which isn't great I'm MP . I'm going to build another EDH deck simply because of that, where as you seem to have a pretty good nix for both
