So I was messing around on MWS with Dredge, decided it was rather fun to play if it was toned down a bit, so mutilating it into an EDH deck seemed like a good way to tone it down a couple of notches.
Since the original idea of the deck was to tone down the degeneracy of Dredge I'd like to avoid anything along the lines of infinite combos and the ilk. I'm always a fan of big splashy moves that put the game in your favor, but I never really cared for infinite combos that basically say 'I win'. I guess in a similar vein I never really liked one turn wins as well, (as in they win in one turn, I'm not big on winning on turn one either, but that's besides the point) I always preferred wars of attrition where I interact with my opponent more-so than anything else (which begs the question why I was messing around with Dredge, I guess my love of graveyard shenanigans outweighed my dislike of big one turn wins).
Anywho, the main idea of the deck is to dump a good bit of my library in the graveyard, either with Hermit Druid milling myself since I only have 6 basics, most of which will be in play since some of my ramp only goes for basics; Traumatize myself, which would be backed up with a Pact of Negation transmuted with Tolaria West, which incidentally could be found with Realms Uncharted and recurred with Life from the Loam, which could be searched up with Intuition or a Gifts Ungiven if my playgroup allows it, and then dredged up (I know, rather Christmas Land Idealistic, but those aren't necessary, just a good amount of backup); if all else fails I can do it the old fashion way and slowly dredge through my deck. While nowhere near as good a way to fill the graveyard as the 60 card version without the redundancy of having 4 of all the big dredgers it can still slowly but surely fill up the graveyard.
Once the graveyard is nice and packed with everything under the sun I can Worm Harvest every turn with Life from the Loam for what is usually 15-25 worms; use Dread Return to bring back either Dralnu, Lich Lord or Sheoldred, Whispering One who would eventually bring back Dralnu then either flashback Praetor's Counsel or if I'm lacking a bit of mana flashback Sins of the Past targeting Praetor's Counsel. Then with hopefully 50+ cards in hand I'll play Zombie Infestation and discard all my lands and Worm Harvest and usually get 7-13 zombies and have worms ready for next turn and have a 25ish card hand full of gas; or just reanimate some of the fat I have.
In order to avoid decking myself eventually I can:
1. Praetor's Counsel my graveyard to my hand.
2. Discard all the nonland cards I don't need at the moment via Psychatog or Zombie Infestation, or maybe just the Zeniths and Beacon of Unrest.
3. Play Loaming Shaman, shuffling everything back into the library. Still have all the lands and Worm Harvest in hand.
4. Discard the lands and Worm Harvest to one of the 2 main discard outlets.
5. I still keep my worm engine and I'll never deck myself in a vacuum.
So I'd like any kind of card suggestions, I'd like to optimize this deck for interactive draw out attrition games with friends. My playgroup ranges from '3 booster packs' decks with no direction or focus to Extended Elfball and Affinity Ravager in terms of skill and general playstyle so I'd like to make it as good as possible right now and tone it down when necessary. I guess because my playgroup has a bit of everything I'd like advice ranging from really funny/cool casual to cutthroat tournament like card suggestions since they'll all have a role to play depending on which friend I play against. So I guess cards you'd use in your playgroup, be it casual or tournament.
Thanks for the help in advance guys. Also, sorry if some of my paragraphs get kinda confusing and/or redundant, me and the English language are on rocky terms.
Edit: Oh! Silly me, forgot the most important part of EDH, the general. Until the 2 new UBG legendaries are revealed I'll use Vorosh, the Hunter. Although using a general for only their color makes me feel kinda dirty so I really hope at least one of the two new legendaries are dredge friendly.
Nice. The Vorosh link in my sig has a similar build in the spoiler using Traumatize and Hermit Druid to load my graveyard for a huge Living Death. Stifle, Voidslime, and Trickbind are huge protection from GY hate. I use Interdict too.
As for the creatures being reanimated, I think it's all a matter of personal taste. ETBs like Mulldrifter, Shriekmaw, and Indrik Stomphowler are always good. I see you already have Acidic Slime and Eternal Witness. Nice. To potentially get even more mileage out of them I run Animate Dead, Necromancy, and Victimize as well. These are just great spells because they can reanimate your creatures off a Buried Alive or the first two listed can reanimate out of an opponent's graveyard.
Dread Return and Beacon of Unrest might be sufficient though.
Persist is decent too. You got the Woodfall. With Greater Good and Melira, Sylvok Outcast in play you'd have a combo that neuters the table and is basically a scoop win. I'm a fan of Glen Elendra Archmage as well.
Loaming Shamen is awesome. I have been using Trinket Mage into Elixir of Immortality to restock my library after a Traumatize/Living Death combo. I think I'll still run it, but I will definitely make room for Loaming dude too..
Using the Worm Harvest and Life from the Loam combo is pretty interesting. Might work well with a Triumph of the Hordes wincon. I haven't seen that before. I will be building a Vorosh Volton and token generating version of BUG once I get my hands on a Doubling Season. I might try this out if the build permits a self-mill theme...
I don't think Vorosh is a bad general for this build at all. Your wincon is basically combo and then beatdown right? Then Vorosh is your guy!
Putrefax good potential to one shot someone with this guy when you make your commander a copy of him. Downside being that your commander will die after that but it does a good job.
Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon potential to kill a lot of people quickly using this guy. He can gain haste for a single mana, he flies, has the ability to regen, and doesnt die at end of turn.
Thought Gorger considering you can have your commander come in as a copy of him + gain +/+ based off the other creature you exile you can make a huge card advantage swing using this guy with your commander. To top it off he makes a big trampley commander. Very cool potential to draw big or kill someone with a trampley commander.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
tunnel vision into living death seems pretty good. you can also hindersomeone and mill them out. im thinking im gonna try out krosan tusker in my build since he draws you a card grabs a land and is 6 counters for the boss. and the infect idea seems pretty good but im not sure if thats the route to go since i like beating people the old fasioned way... to death
If you want to do something competitive your best bet might be to find a Child of Alara, Hermit Druid combo build an go from there. Best interactions with Mimeoplasm involve Lord of Extinction + whatever abilities you want. That hydra thing that hits everyone is neat if you can find a good way to give Mimeoplasm haste. Also Blackcleave Goblin, Cairn Wanderer and/or Spirit of the Night are interesting choices too. Death's Shadow pairs nicely with Blackcleave Goblin in a pinch as well.
The Mimeoplasm is my favorite General, even though there are some disputes as far as pronunciation (I say mime-o-plasm, some say mim-e-o-plasm)
A few additions that really made my deck piss people off
Lord of Extinction (because you will have a huge graveyard)
Death's Shadow (13/13 turns into 13 +1/+1 counters)
Tunnel Vision (use on yourself to build up the graveyard)
I also threw in my favorite enchantment "Eye of the Storm" just for late game lols. Really fun to counter one of their spells only to reuse your land search sorcery spells.

One card I think would be a great addition to this build is Concordant Crossroads.
Akroma's Memorial would be pretty lethal too. Pricey though.

Personally I like reanimating creatures that do fun stuff - Sphinx Ambassador, Mindleech Mass, and Wrexial, the Risen Deep. Add some evasion and a Fireshrieker to one of these guys and they start to get really nasty.
