Hello again everybody, I wanted to give mono-green a try since its my favorite color in MTG. Since the options are so varied I decided to go with Omnath and a more beatdown oriented approach. Another Sub-theme is playing things for free/less mana so that I can keep my mana around for Omnath. Since there are LOADS of things that could work in this deck I'm curious to see your suggestions.
Kozilek, Butcher of Truth big fatty that omnath can build up to quickly and he draws you cards on cast. Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre big fatty that you can ramp to quickly that destroys anything on cast. He is indestructable as well making him a good robust threat. Sundering Titan you are running mono colored so you might as well punish those running multicolored decks.
CUTS: Thrun, The last troll not impressive enough on his own. A deck with him as its commander usually runs him vultron to resist control decks. However as a one of I find him lacking. He doesnt hit hard enough and its hard to rely on him being arround. Troll Ascetic even less impressive than thrun in EDH. He has no CIP / Leaves play triggers and he is a small beater to boot. I just dont see him doing enough quick enough. Most wraths in EDH also say cannot be regened which will kill him. Mythic Proportions sets you up to get 2 for oned. I think it is cool to give your commander trample but Rancor does it better for a lot less mana which will stay floating in your pool and come back when it dies. It seems better to me.
... I could keep going but bottom line you should probably pull out a lot of the creatures for ones that have comes into play abilities or have indestructability or something of the sort. Thornling could be good too as a robust creature thats tough to kill.
Noxious Revival -> Regrowth paying one extra mana for into hand is worth it. I dont like putting things on top when I can put them into hand for very little extra mana if I can help it. Stay away from card disadvantage as much as you can in mono green EDH.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.

The potential of bringing a card back without paying any mana is too stylish in an Omnath deck to pass up.
Dosan, the Falling Leaf - This deck likes casting all of it's stuff as instants with Vedalken Orerry, so dosan is bad. You should be casting enough threats that even a mono blue counter deck won't be able to stop EVERYTHING you play.
Aluren is interesting but rather restrictive, though it makes me play Omnath him self for free which is kinda cool if I delay its play a turn. But overall ill have to see if I have that many lil dudes to play with this. For the artifacts I am heavily considering Orrery and will playtest it shortly as for the mantle I find that Omnath gets killed early game rather then mid and im afraid I may not have the mana to maintain the mantle. But I will test it out soon as well to see.
Sundering Titan you are running mono colored so you might as well punish those running multicolored decks.
Don't have a spare one right now but I will keep it in mind when I have a bit more cash.
I would also recommend Akroma's Memorial if you can get one. The haste really helps and you get all those other nice abilities
I think I have one hiding in a box somewhere, soon as I find it its going in, nice idea

What I wanted to do with Omnath is try to conserve mana to keep on him so playing spells for free can come in quite handy. But as soon as I find my darn Regrowth I will be running both.
Seems like the M12 Garruk will be really sick in Omnath decks.
Him and the Horde he goes with will both be seeing play in this deck.
Sorry Gath Immortal, Ill get to your post later since its so extensive. Already some of the changes I did were towards your list but yeah some of the cuts you suggest I could argue with a bit but yeah, later.
Jedit Ojanen of Efrava should be kept in the deck, there is always green in a multi-player game, and he becomes a 5 power unblockable creature-generator.
Deconstruct is a great addition to an Omnath deck, if you do not know why, then you do not understand Omnath.
Vorinclex is not amazing, he dies before it gets back to your turn. This card reads as "Sorcey, 8CMC: an opponent discards a kill spell". I have seen him played many times and he never even lives past two other players turns. There is a point at which too much hate weakens a card. In multi-player, he is not an auto-include by any means.
Some nice suggestions over-all, but little reasoning (and some of them need it badly), but some suggestions on cuts could have been skipped.

I agree on Aluren as well. Most of the time it will help you more than opponents.
I would also recommend Akroma's Memorial if you can get one. The haste really helps and you get all those other nice abilities.
The potential of bringing a card back without paying any mana is too stylish in an Omnath deck to pass up.
Everything combos with Tombstone Stairwell.
Fastbond - because it's banned, believe me I wish it wasn't.
Feral Hydra - Because it sucks.
Jedit Ojanen of Efrava - Because it sucks.
Troll Ascetic - Because it sucks in EDH.
Mitotic Slime - Because it's not very good.
Viridian Zealot - Because you have better options
Yavimaya Dryad - What? What is this, I don't even... What?
Khalni Hydra - Vanilla Fat is bad in EDH.
Silvos, Rogue Elemental - French Vanilla Fat is bad in EDH.
Putrefax - No, just no, this is a terrible card, infect sucks in EDH.
Caller of the Claw - Not really necessary.
Dosan, the Falling Leaf - This deck likes casting all of it's stuff as instants with Vedalken Orerry, so dosan is bad. You should be casting enough threats that even a mono blue counter deck won't be able to stop EVERYTHING you play.
Verdant Force - Better options.
Gaea's Liege - What? What is this, I don't even... What?
Mythic Proportions - Has been explained
Dramatic Entrance - Why bother? this deck hardcasts everything.
Creeping Corrosion - overkill, and not a creature.
Deconstruct - Because there is no substitute for Krosan Grip
Bind - Way to situational and the cantrip isn't worth it.
Infiltration Lens - Sensei's top this is not.
Orochi Hatchery - overkill, and you can't tutor for it.
Naturalize - don't need it.
Strata Scythe - not worth it
Emerald Medallion - the effect is too small, think big.
Caged Sun - Mana Reflection is just better.
~~~~~
ADDITIONS:
Avenger of Zendikar - Verdant Force eat your heart out. This thing is a win con that should go in every green edh deck ever
Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre - Auto Include
Fierce Empath - Free tutor? Yes Please!
Hornet Queen - Piss off annoying fliers!
Gigantomancer - Makes everything 7/7 that can be indestructible with spearbreaker
Nullmage Shepherd - Viridian Zealot just crapped it's pants
Riftsweeper - gets back exiled threats!
Lurking Predators - SO GOOD.
Doubling Cube - disgustingly powerful with omnath.
Vedalken Orerry - cast anything at anytime, if you get this with seedborn muse, you win.
Aluren is interesting but rather restrictive, though it makes me play Omnath him self for free which is kinda cool if I delay its play a turn. Adding Doubling Cube as soon as I get one
You cannot outrun the beast within.
I would suggest some Swords, like Sword of Feast and Famine. You could also add Early Harvest to ramp up mana, and hence your general's damage. Add Rancor too.
Deconstruct is a great addition to an Omnath deck, if you do not know why, then you do not understand Omnath.
Vorinclex is not amazing, he dies before it gets back to your turn. This card reads as "Sorcey, 8CMC: an opponent discards a kill spell". Everything combos with Tombstone Stairwell.
I have updated the deck quite a bit. Added some budget to it too.
Currently on my priority list for cards to get:
- Seedborn Muse
- Sword of Feast and Famine
- Early Harvest
- Doubling Cube
You cannot outrun the beast within.
