Well there it is, this started out as a Animar deck with just random precon and other cards tossed in with the idea of drawing and casting stuff. I found I really enjoyed the deck and just casting bombs late game. I didn't bother with much removal or any at first. Did a bit of tuning added non basics. Tuning, lowering CMC.
Big finishes are Rite of Replication something mean. Insurrection. Massive draw into Eureka. The first time I played it the game ended when I Insurrectioned into a Entwined Savage Beating. It was pretty sick. The next game was a Praetor's Counsel into a Eureka. Too me these kinda plays embody what EDH is and is why I have really grown to love this deck.
Cards I am considering. But I don't know what to cut.
So Any of the 3 RUG generals works well enough. Riku has plenty copy, but he draws crazy hate. Animar never lives long enough to be effective. And Intet I never seem to have time to cast, but in theory he is good CA as well. So I am really torn on who to go with, I would love to hear peoples opinions and experiences with each.
Edit: Wanderer Maelstrom is a perfect general for this deck. Can't wait.
This deck screams "I want Riku as my general!" He's much less "build around me" than the other two, as he rewards you for just playing a goodstuff deck. You need to be able to abuse Intet or Animar for them to be really good.
Also, all three spells under "Removal" should find their way in.

You make a pretty good arguement for Riku, though I fear the hate he may send my way.
What do you recommend I remove for those 3 spells?
Also I am tempted to swap Wheel of Fortune with Timetwister in case I over draw. However it makes Praetor's Counsel less cool. But it is like ghetto GY hate too.
Do you have particularly dangerous artifact decks floating around in your meta? If not, I don't think that Thada Adel, Acquisitior does enough. I'd cut that for either Beast Within or Aftershock.
Hrm yeah this maybe a good one to cut. I need to do some creature counting, this is mostly to abuse Primeval titan admittedly.

Darksteel forge Sees a lot of play. Also if you get her out early, the extra sol rings are kinda nuts.
Hrm I thought i had Fact or Fiction and holy cow Guided Passage is hot, had not seen that before. Though maybe a bit of a time sink. I will have to pick one up.
Mind Unbound is in for testing so it may get cut for Blue Sun's Zeith. Wheel is probably going to end up being a timetwister. Though perhaps I will avoid draw 7s that help others and go with something else to shuffle my GY.
Edric is kinda testing, so far have not really got him out, but seems like a good way to get others attacked and not me, however as you pointed out others drawing cards is not great. Also if I go Riku less legends seem better.
What do you think of adding Kiki Jiki, I got a lot of good targets. And I think with riku I can get a permanent copy for 2 mana?
Hrm yeah maybe, I was keeping it high cause of my higher CMC and genesis wave/eureka likes permanents. I may make room for Explosive Vegetation as I like 2 for ones. Also if I got with Riku I can see adding more.
Thanks again for the imput, going to make a few changes to get in Warp and beast, then play it a few times.
Kiki-Jiki is really good; I can't believe I overlooked him.
I mentioned the D7s because I think they're not good in a deck where they're fair.
Regarding Aura Thief; in my group, waiting for a creature to die to deal with an enchantment is usually too long to wait. Enchantments tend to be a important thing to deal with quickly.

Yeah my meta is pretty casual, no infinity combos/mass land wipes.
Another card I need to try and work in is Cryptic Command, that tap down edh can be game ending.
I'd also replace some of the ramp spells you run (Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, Skyshroud's Claim) with creatures that pull lands from your deck, as they have much more synergy with your general.
My first impression, looking at your list, is that it would be much more suited for Riku. You've included plenty of spells that Riku would love to copy. Animar needs a heavy commitment to creatures.

Honestly I find anime rarely sticks to the table long enough for his ability to be relevant. I have tried Riku and it was the same issue. I usually win via mass draw into a eureka or Having my creatures live though wipes via Teferi's Veil.

In that case, why not just play Intet, the Dreamer, good stuff? He acts as a clock and card/tempo advantage, but is less immediately threatening as a general (that is he doesn't enable combo quite as readily as either Animar or Riku).
you have way to many non creature spells in there to make animar effective. In my opinion, Animar should be built around two cards. Animar himself and guided passage. I force my opponents to opt for a non creature non land card that will lose them the game (tooth and nail). I have been considering cutting sol ring for birds of paradise and the signets for mana myrs. Most of the enchantments in your deck are no even necessary in animar and can be replaced with a functional creature.

Sure but I build it to be more durable so a single sweeper does not blow me out. In a meta without mass land wipes or combo it tends to play pretty strong, and can live past a few sweepers.
I posted this in another Wanderer thread but if you run Spelljack and cascade into it you can counter the Wanderer with it, recast him and end up with 3 cascade spells instead of 2.

Green Sun's Zenith, though a good card, just isn't at it's best in this deck. Chord of Calling and Tooth and Nail are enough for that function. I would put in Chaos Warp here.
Do you have particularly dangerous artifact decks floating around in your meta? If not, I don't think that Thada Adel, Acquisitior does enough. I'd cut that for either Beast Within or Aftershock.
Next, I'd take a look at your draw spells. You run Wheel of Fortune, Myojin of Seeing Winds, Sphinx of Uthuun, Coastal Piracy, Edric Spymaster of Trest, Mind Unbound, and Greater Good. Most notably, you do not run Blue Sun's Zenith or Fact or Fiction. Guided Passage also tends to be really good. I don't really like Edric, Spymaster of Trest or Wheel of Fortune when you could be running spells I think are just better.
Other good spells I would consider are Mystic Snake and Prophetic Bolt.
I woud also consider revamping your mana base to include slightly less lands, 38 probably, and a few more ramp spells. Things like Farseek, Hunting Wilds, Rampant Growth, Nature's Lore, and Explosive Vegetation.
I think you underestimate Aura Thief. This card has been an all star in games lately. Maybe my meta is just enchantment heavy though.
Hrm yeah this maybe a good one to cut. I need to do some creature counting, this is mostly to abuse Primeval titan admittedly.
Darksteel forge Sees a lot of play. Also if you get her out early, the extra sol rings are kinda nuts.

Not a fan of bolt, I cut the snake for mana drain. I have been trying to find room for it again though.

How is Coastal Piracy working out for you?
