I try not to run the bigger druids because they will be less cost effective. Aim here is to draw into a kill condition and finish the opponent fast. Average turn to combo off would be around turn 4, but I'd say this deck still lacks card draw - but hey, it's mono-green.
I know I've suggested numerous cards in other threads, but I'm not playing them - simply because I don't have them, or they are in other decks. Cards i would put in if I had more copies would be the following:
Nature's Will - This works a wonder in my other decks, but I've yet to test it on this deck - simply because your creatures are usually in the 1-2 power/toughness range, which doesn't make them ideal for combat. If your opponent doesn't have blockers, then why not? It's every permission deck's nightmare, and you can get it out real fast if you get the right cards.
Sylvan Library - Green Sensei's Top anyone? With the option to draw more too!
Eldrazi Monument - I don't play this because while it helps you out at times, in other times the upkeep clause is a hindrance. This is especially true because of the way Monument is worded - you can't choose NOT to sac a creature and sac Monument instead. If you have a creature, you have to sac it. And druids, as we can see, do not have any natural token producers. This will throw yourself into a worse situation when you're short of creatures, or if your opponent is removal heavy. Then again, if your opponent is removal heavy, almost any aggro/creature based deck would fall to it. It's the norm.
Phyrexia's Core - Recursive Spine anyone? With the mana you've got, it won't be a problem to blast multiple permanents in a turn. And note - some druids I'm playing untaps lands - and that's useful for either Cradle or the Core.
Thousand-Year Elixir - Say what? You wanna cast Rofellos or his fellow mana spammers AND use their ability on the same turn? C'mon...don't be greedy....
Well, the strong point here is that it can either switch to aggro or combo. It's either or, so as long as you hit a 'winning' piece, it's fine. I try not to make my decks around one single card, unlike the 60 card decks where u have 4 chances to get those key pieces. So to answer your question, yes I do end up not getting the Cloudstone at times, but then again with the draw that's available, it shouldn't matter too much..

Also, if you don't like Rootgrapple, you could always replace it with Desert Twister
Cards that can also be considered for this deck:

Just one thing I'd change, Mana Reflection and Seton don't actually work together, which is why I believe Citanul Hierophants should be included.
