Assuming you imprint something on a Mimic Vat and make a token while Parallel Lives is on the battlefield, would you have to exile both tokens at the end step, or only the one specifically summoned by the Vat?
Additionally, (assuming that the token from PL DOES exile at end step) would Sundial of the Infinite save the Parallel Lives' token if the trigger does not go off the first time?
1) Yes, you would exile both tokens. Parallel Lives creates a replacement effect. It effectively makes Mimic Vat say "Put two tokens onto the battlefield that are copies of the exiled card...", so both tokens would have the exile trigger as well.
2) It would save both tokens as long as you wait until their triggers are on the stack before using the sundial. This means waiting until the end step begins. If you use the Sundial before your end step the exile triggers will go off at the next end step, which will most likely be your opponent's.

Using Sundial would only make it so that both tokens would survive through to your opponent's turn. Then, on their end step, both would be exiled.
Actually, if you activate Sundial while the "sacrifice me" trigger is on the stack, the turn will end, the "sacrifice me" trigger will be removed from the stack and it will never trigger again.

Just adding onto this, it's because it triggers at the "beginning of the next end step." There's only one next end step, and if the triggers are removed by ending the turn or countering them, they won't trigger again (because the end step after that won't have been the 'next' end step since activating the ability).
For an ability like Arc Runner, it doesn't state any particular end step, so it gets sacrificed on your opponent's turn too.

Keep tokens forever, because the ability already triggered once and their isn't a "at each end step" clause.
Exactly what Yoshi and Caterpie are talking about. Of course, if you try to accomplish this with Sundial (which can only be activated on your turn), you'll have to do all of this on your turn. (Or, with the way Vat is worded, at the end of your opponent's turn)

Because we care about facts.

Basically, Parallel Lives doesn't create the token, it just makes Vat create two, so they should be treated the same.

According to what I have seen, if you want to do this.
Trigger Mimic Vat.
Tokens on Battlefield.
Pass turn.
While "exile these tokens" ability is on the stack, activate Sundial of the Infinite.
Keep tokens forever, because the ability already triggered once and their isn't a "at each end step" clause.
