I believe this is the system I have and trying to get up and running. I'm trying to get my Xbox and cable hooked up to this so I can use my surround sound of more than just blu rays.
I tried my best on google which suggests buying Optical cable for the 360, but nothing I could find on hooking up the Comcast box. I did see someone about running our HDMI cables into the system directly, but I'm really lost when it comes to this stuff.
I'm also thinking about buying a TiVo, are they still a good thing to have vs Comcast's DVR? Anyone know about how much money it would cost to get up and running? Would I be able to connect TiVo to the surround sound? Is there a better DVR than both I should be looking at?
How about the Wii? I have that on component cables so does that matter at all for surround sound? I'm sure I sound like an idiot to you folks who know what your talking about,

Help me Geeks Corner, your my only hope!
More information about your setup will make this a lot easier. First and foremost, what all are you trying to hook up? What about your TV? Model numbers of everything will allow me to try and cobble something together that might work.
The general idea (short of buying additional equipment, like an A/V Receiver), is to hook everything up to the TV, and then pipe the audio to the surround system. Hopefully that will get you what you are trying for. Most TVs will have an "Audio Out" (likely an Optical port) that should work with the surround system. Your surround system has an Optical input, so you could hook the TV's "Optical Out" to the Surround's "Optical In" to get surround for whatever the TV is playing (theoretically).
As for the TiVo, it would be somewhat redundant if you already have a DVR from the cable company. You would be duplicating functionality for additional cost. The only things that would make it worthwhile is if there is content available through TiVo but not Comcast, or the interface for the TiVo is better than the Comcast one. As far as cost or competitors, no comment (I just have cable (I miss U-Verse so much)).
As far as your Wii is concerned, I assume that the surround system would take the stereo output and process it in such a way to allow for "5.1" over the speakers. It won't be true 5.1, but it would mimic it pretty well (Guessing since I don't have a Wii, or an Xbox 360 for that matter).

Hope that helps, at least a little bit.
