This month, the players of the CCL journeyed to the plane of Calibar, a place where a magical substance called arcanum is shaped into all manner of tools and vestments. Dozens of hopeful novice shapers showed up to try out for the Lycaeum, an exclusive academy where the best shapers of the world are trained. Honing their voices along with their shaping skills, they progressed through a number of tests, and a select few were chosen to accompany the legendary Professor Garriman across Calibar, finding creatures infused with arcanum and developing their skills in manipulating it. Finally, in the dangerous port town of Kakarr, they were faced with the darker side of arcanum when they were attacked with painful Curses. Egak and yewlas overcame these with quick thinking, only to find that this too was part of their training. A visitor from another world, a stern but beautiful woman named Elspeth, sought their help in weaving together the arcanum of the entire plane into something that might stop an impending invasion.
For the final challenge, Egak and yewlas each had to design a cycle of World Enchantments (if you don't recall, only one World permanent can be on the battlefield at a time, and any previous one is sacrificed when a new one comes out).
Wandering Wings1U
Enchantment - Aura (C)
Enchant creature
Enchanted creature has flying.

Whenever a creature untaps, it gets -1/-1 until end of turn.
Arcanum's SpringWU

Arcanum's DiscordBR
World Enchantment (R)
At the beginning of each player’s upkeep, that player reveals the top card of their library and sacrifices a permanent that shares a card type with the revealed card. If they do, they put the revealed card onto the battlefield. Otherwise they put the revealed card on the bottom of the library.

Renew—4GG, Sacrifice an enchantment. (You may cast this from your graveyard for its renew cost.) Every future to fulfill.
Comments are welcome, anyone can vote. I would encourage the two finalists to vote for each other. I'll break ties if necessary after one week. Thanks everyone for playing and voting!
I'm very happy to give the gentlemanly vote. Good luck, Egak. May the best...uh...this is usually where I make some stupid pun involving the contestants' avatars and/or usernames, but I've got nothing.
Chose to vote for yewlas because the cards in his cycle feel more closely related in the power of their effects. (I realize that sounds strange to say for mechanics that effect all players.) What I mean is the power of their effect on the board is relatively closer together.
Though I do want to give Egak credit: A multi-colored cycle is very daring.

I'll bet you wish you had a non-unglued/unhinged card that shared your first name.
Voted for yewlas because his cards felt more like a cycle, I love the flavour texts he did, and most importantly, I felt he did something which actually interacted with the World supertype in a cool way - the renew costs (which I see are something he brought in from a previous round's submission) have a very cool interaction with world enchantments being limited to only one out at a time by letting you sacrifice the one you have to replace it with another, and bring back one which you were forced to sacrifice earlier to play a another one.
While Egak made some cool cards, and I love multicolour cycles, his cards didn't feel particularly like they needed to be world enchantments other than to meet the requirements, where yewlas's cards had an interaction with the rules for world enchantments which made the supertype feel more like a natural part of the card.
I voted for Egak because I woke up ten mins ago and my guideline for voting was to read all the cards each one did and vote for the whole. If voting for jut the round's entries I would voted different (but it is irrelevant when taking a look at the poll...)
Advanced congrats ffor the one who makes it to the cup.
It's nice to see this many votes this month, I guess things are just generally more active but we've had disappointing turnouts in recent months.
Egak's seasons are a great idea for world enchantments, but perhaps a bit awkward for a five card cycle. Winter and Discord are the most interesting, I'm not sure about the colors on Discord though, it seems like it could kind of go any way. Vector was probably the standout mechanic to come out of this CCL though, good thinking there.
I think yewlas has done a great job working with the World mechanic, overcoming the drawback by allowing fairly easy replacement. All of the effects actually feel better on World enchantments than they would on a normal enchantment, which is quite a feat. Great job!

Well done to both contestants for their efforts.
I have no idea what that means, but this is still one of the best posts I've ever read on here.
