The basic idea of this deck is to play Doubling Season or and or Parallel Lives and just vomit out a bunch of tokens. Even the turn after a board wipe it is very possible to have a dozen creatures in play. Almost every card in the deck is there to produce tokens or counters, and those that don't are there to tutor or recur Doubling Season. The deck is light on answers but applies a ton of pressure, which is fine with me, sometimes I get stomped, sometimes I do the stomping.
Creatures:
Primordial Hydra gets absurdly large with Doubling season you'll triple the number of counters on it each turn. Avenger of Zendikar is obviously a format staple but when you get double the tokens... you get the idea. Hornet Queen provides some air defense which is one of this deck's weaknesses. Primeval Titan- this card is just too good. Searching for Gaea's Cradle is just unfair. Jugan, the Rising Star- only because he flies. Juniper Order Ranger was once a 102/104 for me. Sigil Captain is really fun with Ghave, Guru of Spores even without Doubling Season.
Planeswalkers:
What can I even say about these? They are all just stupid good with Doubling Season. I've cast a Garruk Primal Hunter on turn 6 to make 12 6/6 Wurms. And Liliana's ultimate? Yeah, you just win. One note, I don't use Elspeth, Knight-Errant because I'm using it in another deck, and I try not to use the same card in multiple decks.
Enchantments:
Glare of Subdual is mainly here to tap down opposing flyers. Fecundity is pretty sweet since my creatures die far more often than my opponents'. Bitterblossom was recently added because the tokens have flying. Seems good with Sigil Captain.
Sorceries:
Reap and Sow with some pretty sweet utility lands is great, oh yeah and Gaea's Cradle.
Instants:
Grim Affliction might be my favorite card in the deck, other than Doubling Season. Seed Spark isn't the best Disenchant but it's on theme.
Artifacts:
Akroma's Memorial is a recent addition, mostly for the haste. It's easy to drop 40 power on the board every turn, but not so easy to go a turn without someone playing a Wrath.
Cards I'm trying to acquire for this deck... Mikaeus, the Lunarch to replace Lord of Extinction. He fills the same role as just a big fat creature. Requiem Angel to replace Jugan. Gives me the flyer I need, or a ton of flyers. Skyshroud Claim to replace Coalition Relic. The artifact is more fragile than just putting two forests into play. Sorin, Lord of Innistrad makes tokens, his emblem is great with tokens and has a sweet ultimate. Seems like a good addition to the deck. Regrowth is strictly better than Recollect. Vindicate, I think I like this better than Maelstrom Pulse.
