This deck focuses on abusing Child of Alara's board wipe ability. It uses sac outlets and recursion to repeatedly blow up the board, when necessary, and large finishers to ultimately win.
I've tried to make sure that I always have a reliable sac outlet available for whenever I need Child to explode. I also wanted all of my large finishers to have synergy with the deck. For example, Teneb, the Harvester is useful for recursion from any graveyard, and both Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre and Progenitus are immune to Child's effects. I also want the option of either being able to recur Child from the graveyard, or being able to put it back in the Command Zone (since it must hit the graveyard for its wrath effect to work. I also added some control just to protect myself from tough situations, and also some general hate (for example Bant Charm, Spell Crumple, Hinder and Slave of Bolas. During playtesting, this deck has proved to be very scary for opponents, and is actually extremely fun to play.
thanks, i'll go and change that now. I originally had Darksteel Colossus but then replaced it with Progenitus because I thought that it would more or less be equivalent. I think I'll keep Progenitus though.
Regardless if Progenitus is immune to Child r not, I think it is a great way to finish off opponents. If it hits the field, I probably wouldn't even play CHild unless I really had too though.
It looks like you have a good number of recursion. Getting your general back should never be a problem.
