This deck was made from My Riku EDH deck and the Chaos Reigns Planechase 2012 deck. I bought Chaos Reigns and played a few games with it, but then decided I was ready to use Maelstrom Wanderer as a General. Rather than make a new URG specifically for he/she/it, I converted my Riku of Two Reflections deck into the Wanderer's deck. As a result, there are a lot of cards in the ddeck that the Wanderer really doesn't want or need to Cascade into, and I'm aware the deck has some major work needed.
Card Selection:
-Sensei's Divining Top - While SDT is good in any EDH/Commander deck, I think that it is especially important in this deck because it could allow me to see what's ahead for the Wanderer to Cascade into.
-Decimate - THIS CARD IS AWESOME!!! I replaced Wreak Havoc with this one, because this one is so freaking sweet! Its only drawback is that if an opponent doesn't have a target, I have to shoot one of my own. Hopefully, in a multiplayer game, that won't be an issue.
Wants/Haves:
-Obviously, I have the entire Chaos Reigns deck at my disposal. The deck has some nice tastey treats in it that may go very nicely into this deck, but there is also some White and Black stuff present in the deck.
-I have a nice stack of cards (It is close to four hundred the last time I counted) that I thought would be good in this deck when it was headed up by Riku. After looking through it, a lot of them would be quite lame when you consider the fact that my General is now Maelstrom Wanderer, but also, some of them would be very nice to Cascade into.
Besides these few notes, feel free to comment on this deck and post some recommendations of cards to slot in and take out. A lot of them I might already be aware of (like the Doubling Season and Parallel Lives), but recommend cards anyways.
Thank you ahead of time!
Im at work right now so its hard to post alot but i think harmonize could be a better card u are playing blue afterall and browbeat... Is well browbeat ill leave it at that i love wanderer and cant wait to build with him it just sucks not being able to really play x spells

Yeah, I agree that Harmonize is not the best draw spell I have access to. Tidings costs 3UU and draws me four cards, while Harmonize costs 2GG and draws me three cards. Though Tidings is already in this deck. I'll see if I can find a better card to replace Harmonize.
I'm honestly not quite following what you said about Browbeat. I can't tell if you were saying it is good or bad. It is a leftover card form when this was a Riku of Two Reflections EDH/Commander deck. While this deck was headed up by Riku, I found that if I copied Browbeat at least once, I would end uo drawing three cards and someone would take five damage on a normal occasion.
On X spells: Yeah, I hadn't thought about that until the Wanderer Cascaded into Comet Storm yesterday. I was quite sad. Obviously, this means that I'm going to pull all or most of my X spells out, which I just realized is currently only Comet Storm.
Seems how you're not worried about Riku's inability to do anything with enchantments now, maybe you could replace Harmonize with Thought Reflection? It's easily removed, but I mean...if no one decides to hate you, you'll be pulling off way more draw in the end. That or Garruk, Primal Hunter. With this many fatties, you're sure to make your mana's worth.
Take out shivan Wumpas I think.... It's not that great, players can just sac lands for it... and you dont realy want to cascade into it either, there are so many better cards...
if you want land destrcution there are even better ones... its such a big draw back that he gets put on the top, specialy in chaos games, there is almost never a moment someone wont just sac a land...... or just let it come into play, while having removal....
Any card that gives the opponent a choice overall isnt that great in Chaos/Multiplayer games... ^^
On another note... I would suggest taking out counter in a deck like this, you are supposed to cascade, cascading into counter in almost every case is a bad thing.....
(unless opponent by chance counters something... but then still the counter would stack above the Wanderer and just miss or counter your wanderer....)
Giant Growth would also be something I would take out.... even a Lightningbolt overall would be better, and that card I wouldnt even consider playing.... ^^
Also definitely take out Lava Axe and Death by Dragons.... ^^
Maybe I should add a list of cards to consider to add.... wil add some at a later time... am just checking through your list and adding what I find to be weak cards in EDH.... (not that I am a pr0 with this, but have some experience at least...)
Ps. I might be making a deck with him as wel... (when I get mah money, its on my list of 'to buy'...)
Yeah, a list of suggestions of things to take out and put in would be really helpful, thank you input. I was thinking about how my contermagic is pretty lame when it gets Cascaded into.
Land destruction effects, such as Wildfire, seem like a good idea. Though obviously Wildfire obviously gives my opponents a choice.

Thought Reflection is awesome! I didn't play during during the four Lorwyn sets, so there are a lot of hidden gems in those sets for me.
You're right though, there are several card draw engines I could add.
I've actually made a lot of improvemnts to this deck, I need to update the list. This has been my reminder, so I'll get around to throwing the updates soon.
I have a Maelstrom Wanderer deck and I have a few cards that do a lot for me and might help you out as well.
Charmbreaker Devils - With as many cool instant and sorceries as you're running, getting to replay them and making a beater is tight. He's won me a few games on his own, especially with clones of him out as well.
Mindclaw Shaman - is great, a bit unpredictable, but its did something good for me more often than not.
Cryptic Annelid - He etb scries thrice, allowing you to better control your cascades.
Roaring PrimadoxSunken HopeCloudstone CurioCrystal Shard - Almost all the creatures in my deck have ETB abilities, and this suite of cards gives me ways to replay those spells a lot, as well as MW himself. The last game I played, MW kept getting hated out, so i plopped down the curio and just played wood elves and farhaven elf over and over again to be able to pay the respawn tax, so yeah, these self-bounce effects can be nice. Especially when you can play MW 2-3 times a turn.

Problem: I like mean decks.
Solution: Build control decks.
Problem: All my friends hate me.
Solution: lol don't care.
Problem: halp im getting instagibbed
Solution: dismantle GAAIV, start at beginning, build Zedruu.
Jokulhaups is the best thing you can hope to cascade into for a Maelstrom Wanderer deck. Pretty much the definition of a board that's been pre-cleared for you to beat face with your 8/5 hasty general.
In the same vein, Mystical Tutor and Worldly Tutor are excellent, since they allow you to control precisely what you want to cascade into (as opposed to Top, which is limited to your deck's top 3 cards.

Great recommendations guys! Thanks for your support!
Your deck looks like it has a lot of potential, and there are a lot of cool cards that could go in. I built a Maelstrom Wanderer deck recently and it is a blast to play. Here are a few cards that have shined for me, sorted by budget and expensive:
BUDGET OPTIONS
[CARD] Minion Reflector
[/CARD]
I found a foil copy of this card in a bulk rare box at my local store, and it has more than paid for itself (considering I paid $1.50 for it, that might not mean much ) After copying an end of turn Bogardan Hellkite then untapping and copying an Avenger of Zendikar and smashing everyone into the ground, it became painfully obvious how good Minion Reflector is with CIP abilities. The card is like another copy of Riku of Two Reflections, except both the mana cost and activation cost are less demanding colorwise. I now seriously consider adding it to any deck I build with decent CIP abilities.
[CARD] Heartwood Storyteller
[/CARD]
When Future Sight was released, this card got a little bit of hype, but was quickly overshadowed by Tarmogoyf. It eventually passed into Extended with little fanfare. One day I came across a copy in an old trade binder that lay in a forgotten corner of my room. After running the card name throught Babelfish (it was in french and I had long since forgotten what the hell it did) I looked up the card in Gatherer. I then spent the next fifteen minutes putting my brains back in my skull. This is as close to the definition of Underplayed EDH Staple as you can get. It's dirt cheap. It helps the whole table, so it is unlikely to get auto-nuked. It encourages political manoevering. IT DRAWS CARDS FOR NO MANA. I don't throw it in every EDH deck, but he is on the short list whenever I build a creature-heavy one.
[CARD] Conquering Manticore
[/CARD]
Another Bargain-Box foil, this card is responsible for one of the funniest Maelstrom Wanderer cascades i've yet to see. My opponent tapped out to play a Damnation then followed up with a 17/17 Lord of Extinction. On my turn I cast my general and flipped over Conquering Manticore and Birthing Pod. I stole his Lord of Extinction and smacked him upside the head for 29 damage, then fed his own guy to the Pod to get a Deadwood Treefolk and began to recurr my dead guys. He untapped, drew, then picked up his cards. While not nearly as flexible as Zealous Conscripts, there is no law saying you can't play both. He does beat Conscripts when it comes to stats, which is not insignificant in the land of Battlecruiser Magic.
Now onto some less wallet-friendly all-stars...
[CARD] Sarkhan Vol
[/CARD] Fires of Yavimaya is one of my favourite cards from back when I first learded to play Magic. I've always been a sucker for mass haste granting cards *cough, Maelstrom Wanderer, cough* so of course I'd be all over this guy. What has done most of the damage has actually been his -2 ability. I've lost count how many fatties I've stolen with Sarkhan then fed to Greater Good or Goblin Bombardment over the years. His +1 ability is really effective with token swarms if you go the token route. (God knows Red and Green don't want for cards that spit out derfy little guys en masse.) He rarely lives long enough to use his ultimate, but it gets really funny with a Warstorm Surge in play.
[CARD] Consecrated Sphinx
[/CARD]
I'm not going to elaborate on how crazy this guy is in EDH, but I will give you one funny mental image:
Opponents survey their respective boards an let out a collective sigh.
[CARD] Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary
[/CARD]
This guy is banned as a general for a reason. He is retarded in mono-green, bloody awesome in green-X decks and still does lots of work in a deck as greedy as mine. I play 9 forests and the Revised duals/Shocklands, meaning more than one-third of my land will be counted by Rofellos. Factor in a dozen or so ways to get said Forests and it won't be hard to get 5-6 green mana per turn. Even if you only have 2-3 forests in play, he is basically a better Grim Monolith that can chump-block or beat face when needed.
Incidentally, is your deck being built with a budget in mind? If I knew for sure I could make some suggestions that fall into your price range. It would be kind of pointless to start naming off awesome expensive cards if they are beyond your financial capacities. Cheers, and good luck with the deck!
