Sharuum was my first EDH deck, and I still absolutely love it. I've changed it around a lot recently and added in more combos and better combo pieces. the best part of this deck is how synergistic it is. Almost every creature is an artifact, which gives me many options for things to bring back with Sharuum. Almost every card works together, and the combo pieces I have are strong pieces on their own that contribute well to the deck.
Anyway, I really love comments and criticisms, so please leave some for me:) Also, I need to cut two cards, so any suggestions on that would be great.
I too run Sharuum the Hegemon. I have a few suggestions for you. First is to cut the two cards you said you needed cut, I would recommend you cut 1 of each basic. My next suggestion(s) are a few cards I run.
I was considering adding Conjurer's Closet when i saw it on the AVR spoilers, but i wasn't sure how effective it would be. does it seem to be working out for you?
As far as all the other suggestions, I have no idea what I would cut to add them in. What do you think is expendable? I especially like Jester's Cap...
I recommend the combo: Cauldron of Souls + Dross Scorpion + Triskelion = Infinite Damage
Lot's of shenanigans to be made with all three of these cards, even without the combo.

Let me start off by saying that with all due respect GFireflyE, I have to disagree with your opinon of the closet. Sharuum is esper colors and artifact heavy, which means that there are plenty of ways to get it in play quickly. i.e. the tutors that every Sharuum player knows of Demonic Tutor, Diabolic Tutor, Fabricate, etc. etc. but then you have ways too cheat it into play, one of which I use is Master Transmuter, and ways to lower not only the cost of the closet but of all your artifacts Cloud Key, and Etherium Sculptor. Usually I have mine out turn 3-4 85% of the time. I hope I don't sound like im ranting on you GFireflyE because I don't mean to.
Anyway's, Paigeofabook a few things I would cut
-As I said in my original post, I would cut one of each basic.
-Also Genesis Chamber. It certainly is a nice card but you have the combo for the infinite thopter tokens and only ten or so creatures (Although this could be better if you blink Sharuum at least once every turn).
-I am aware that Rings of Brighthearth and Basalt Monolith is a infinite mana loop but id add in Power Artifact as well it also combos with the monolith for infinite mana (also just in case you dont see the rings soon enough).
- I would also choose either Exsanguinate or Profane Command and cut the other. I understand the purpose of both but it feels kinda out of place to me (maybe I just love having the game go on for a bit longer then most). This is also all up to you if you take this piece of advice or not, and I say this for this piece of advice because I am basing this advice off my own personal bias and not what I know from playing my Sharuum deck.
ok, so thus far I'mm going to cut one of each basic land, genesis chamberand exsanguinate.That leaves me with three cards to add, so for now I think that I'll add in Power Artifact, Ashnod's Altar and Jester's Cap. I think for now that I would rather add cards that will improve the combos I already have rather than adding in any new combos.

Conjurer's Closet- blink Sharuum.
Nevinyrral's Disk with Darksteel Forge already on the battlefield.
Ashnod's Altar- with the thopter infinite loop.
Unwinding Clock- I think it speaks for itself.
Jester's Cap- Just for hilarity.

I kinda think Conjurer's Closet is too slow for Sharuum...

I used to run a deck very similar to yours, but I grew tired of cards like counterspells and the like being so linear.

The last thing I can think of would be to include the filter lands Fetid Heath, Mystic Gate, and Sunken Ruins,and two non basics called Darksteel Citadel and Buried Ruin
That is pretty much all I can think of really. I hope this helps at least a little.
