And I'm for damn certain it is. **** you and AE and Zinda may not even be all thinking of the same person.
I know I stopped something on Arc. That may have been the phantom Vig you are talking about (since no one else is coming forward to claim targeting him) But the kill that succeeded can only possible be on an anti-town role and I am certain its the SK.
Oh how nice, we have just lynched a player that was travelling without hearing his fullclaim, despite me asking to not end the day and Niv not even posting once. And again Iso "omited" important information from the town thinking we are better doing things as he's decided it's our best interest without really knowing all the info.
No matter what WOD flips now I want Iso's head, I don't care if he's town, neutral or scum. The guy should have learned by now!! ALL GAMES I PLAY FROM NOW ON WITH ISO I WILL SHOT HIM/VOTE/NK HIM NONSTOP.
@Mod please force replace Niv, enough is enough.

With who? The sub is in a state of hell right now as far as replacements are concerned. I dont like that Niv is doing this (in multiple games BTW) but unless the mods are willing to result to modkills (which i dont think will be in the best interest of the games) then there is nothing we can do but wait out the game and recommend him for probation.
You said this already. Are you going to do anything or just make off-handed and useless comments about how I'm pushing apparently bad lynches? If you're just going to take up space, then please, self-vote. I have every intention of breaking this setup so that I can fulfill my win condition. And I have yet to see any better theories.
Why are you being so hostile? I am the only neutral to permanently reach their wincon (openly anywho), so about all I will do is state my opinion to reach the end of the game as quickly as possible. You, on the otherhand, are actively manipulating the players to your own personal gain.
So i expect to be dead tonight. If so I strongly suggest going after AE. He, zinda and Iso have been protecting the SKer. And as the day has progressed the more I see that AE has in fact been protecting himself.
The SK is the largest threat to the scum, more so than the town even. Not only can he carelessly trim their number, there's a large volume of neutrals to hide in easily.
Basically, why would anyone who's town lie about their being town? I can understand why scum would, but it makes no sense from a town perspective, so why do you not believe that we have a LOT of Neutrals?
If we have as many neutrals as they claim, then the town never had a chance to win. If the town was not the majority (or close to) at the beginning of the game, then the scum had an incredibly high chance to win compared to them.

Ever see the South Park Episode about Thanksgiving and the History Channel?
You'll have to remind me which one that was.

No, you clearly state that scum targeting you are blocked in a clear misrepresentation of your role in order to press your case harder.
And then I came clean about my full ability. I'm surprised no one asked me about the disconnect there between the people who are fighting for a similar cause and those fighting for themselves...blahblahetc.
Quote from Emo_Pinata »
Well, the mafia kill people and the SK kills people... there's no proof any kill came from a townie.
Sigh. There's no proof it came from the mafia or the SK, either.

So you don't care who else wins. Which means you're just taking up space. I'm being hostile because you're attempting to detract me for pushing a lynch I'm sure about at any cost when you're not contributing a damn thing to the state of the game - you've become apathetic now that you've won and not putting forth your opinions in such a manner to convince people of what is and what isn't does not make your win condition fulfilled any faster. (The survival part, I mean.) And of course I'm actively manipulating players - I have my own win condition I need to fulfill and the sooner one faction dies off, the sooner I can use PoE to fill out my Neutral list and win.
P.S. I can guarantee you that at least one more member of the mafia will die toNight. My Vig buddy will ensure it.

Which is where my role comes in handy.

Not if the Neutrals approached the game with the mindset of "scumhunt to appear town and not get myself lynched so that I can win, too". Basically, the Neutrals need to cooperate with the town to an extent in order to win, themselves, unless we feel like getting offed one-by-one until the endgame just to take a gamble on who survives. Also, unless we hit the SK early on, the mafia has a much smaller chance of winning than they did before. You said this, yourself.
Let me ask you: Do you believe that the SK is hiding in the Neutrals? Or do you think I accidentally slipped a town or scum or two into my Neutral list on Night 1?

Re: Niv - I prodded him and have received no response. I know there were extenuating circumstances for his absence pre-prod. If I thought I could quickly get a replacement, I would replace him; as it stands, I'll replace him if I haven't heard from him by the beginning of Day 3.
No way is he turning up town. His entire play this game has been "i want iso dead loollllzzz"
I know my brother better than this; if he were town, he wouldn't be so blase about hunting scum. He used his "hate iso" meta to try and plainsight lurk, and both Iso and I noticed it.
Iso, you're aware that the town is never going to trust you again this game right? I hope it was worth it.
It was worth it in scum nailed, Wuffs. I've got no more tricks up my sleeve - just pure scumhunting with the PoE aid of my win condition from this point on in this game.

Your gambit sucked Iso, if you had told us before the lynch the truth it would be a good one, because WOD's reacting was enough for us to make a decision, it's like claiming cop with a guilty result to fish for reacting. But you giving town incomplete information was really bad play. But I don't expect you to learn anymore, you need to get lynched, every game for ever and ever. Maybe you can someday understand the error of your ways.
@TIK actually if WOD was a logical person he would be reacting as scum, but I've seen he react this way before as town. I CCed him as the town cop, and he didn't vote me (he didn't react in many ways to my CC) and was quickly out on L-1 when I was modkilled because of a mod mistake and turned into confirmed town after that.
I trying to hang him as fast as possible, exactly like Iso is doing this game, and I was scum. It's friggin easy to CC WOD and get away with it. =P
TLDR: WOD's reaction don't confirm him as scum. I would not be surprised to see he flip anything at this point, but no matter what he flips I'm really angry at Iso.
@Zinda now that you game is over, you noticed this game's roles have many similarities with Seasons? I've noticed it for a long time, and finally seasons has ended and we can talk about it.

This is a quick post because I see we're about to go to night.
Iso, AE and I are talking about the same person.
I want to believe WoD is scum, but I'm doubting it now that Iso has been revealed for the liar that he is. If we believe anything Iso says, which is getting harder by the post, then he wouldn't be immune to SK kills, so WoD should've finished him off. I doubt WoD would openly talk about how his mafia nightkill failed, so that's leaving town vig to me now.
On the plus side, if he is town, that means that Arcadic's killer is probably scum/SK, so that's good.
Whatever's going on with this mod-votes thing is unsettling.
@DRey: I don't see any similarities, actually. Did you have anything in mind?
Exactly what I thought Zinda, considering Iso is telling the truth Wod is not the SK, meaning he's terrible scum (actually he's terrible as scum) and claimed the kill on Iso or the town vig.
Anyway, that means Arcadic's killer is the SK, why aren't you revealing that information just in case? Are you trying to protect the SK? Don't you fear getting killed this night without revealling this crucial information? AE and Iso may have got the wrong person.
Tordeck role is a delayer exactly like Iso's role in Season. Tordeck not knowing about season and claiming his role with incomplete information makes me believe he's telling the truth and is town (I don't think this role could get into scum hands considering Xyre is a much more cautious mod than Zinda "double voter issue").
Iso being a triple voter unnightkillable is also the very same role he had in Seasons (after fullfilling his 5 layers of time thingie), I don't think Iso is lying about this because he has proven his role already. This setup is intriguing and I didn't really want to go to night before speculating some more about it... you suck Wuffles.

I'm back. Iso has been lying again, awesome. Hoping WoD turns up scum anyway. Curious about the tordeck/zinda/AE interaction involving Arcadic's death; if WoD is scum, next step will probably be to resolve that little tangle as well as the Guardman-count tangle we still have from day 1.
Ok, so Gman is scum, anyone else wants to claim scum too?

8) The use of information taken from outside the game, any site other than this one or a mod-created Google Group, or real life is banned unless I explicitly say otherwise. (Quoting from a Google Group is legal, but the mod will not confirm or deny whether any quote is real if asked.) Likewise, all wagers or promises that extend outside the game are also banned. The penalties for screwing around will be severe.
I am under the impression that trying to use people posting elsewhere as evidence was forbidden by this rule. Anyways, I was outside all weekend and came back to twilight. There is really nothing to do or say until we see how WoD flips, although I am probably forgetting something important. Oh well, so goes this long night.....
Guardman is not scum. Archonoid might be but odds are that the other scum I'm not sure about is probably somewhere in the split we have between the claimed Neutrals.

Ceasing to post after twilight is one of my personal favorites "secret" scumtells. The fact that after I mentioned this stuff suddenly 3 or 4 people that were "away" started posting does not bode well for them. If they really were away from salvation (Niv for example I think is really MIA) they should continue not posting.
Posting after twilight if really hard to do effectivelly as scum, so they usually avoid commenting on stuff altogether in fear of screwing up.

Wrath_of_DoG leaped forward at Iso. His arms appear from beneath his long coat - thick as telephone poles - and one wraps around Iso's neck. The rest of you draw weapons and point them at him. "Put those away! Or -"
"Or what?" the man in the Armani suit shouts. He's the only one unarmed, and he looks fairly disinterested. "You'll snap the neck of some poor schmuck before you get filled with loose metal?"
"Or I'll do this!" With a roar, Wrath_of_DoG swings Iso by his neck, and flings him into several of you, who go down in a heap. A few brave souls try to aim at the hulking figure without missing and open fire, while the rest hit the ground to avoid the bullets whizzing past Wrath_of_DoG and popping into the wall.
DRey steadies himself and tries to grab at WoD's coat, but he is moving too fast. Soon, DRey is flying around the room. Looking back at his new passenger, WoD slides the coat from his shoulders without breaking stride, sending DRey flying into the wall. But five more of you jump from the ground to take his place. WoD pounds around the room, but soon he can't move quite as fast. The Cold Monarch reacts quickly, and fires a bullet that catches him in the leg, and soon the pile of bodies collapses to the ground.
You all stand up, rubbing bruised limbs and wiping blood from battered heads, and lean over Wrath_of_DoG's gigantic body. He lies on the ground, breathing heavily, eyes closed.. The Cold Monarch stands up and points his gun at WoD. "Well?"
For a long moment, he lies steady. Then, with one last roar, he bursts from the ground, hands toward TCM's neck. But on the ground, he can't avoid the hail of gunfire that puts him right back down.
Emo_Pinata leans down and pulls a bloodied cellphone from the dead man's pocket. It has no passcode, and only one message on it, from an unknown number
S,
The package has reappeared. Go find it.
Your associates will meet you there. Take it at any cost.
I am counting on you.
TM
"TM? Who the hell is TM?" Iso asks sharply.
"Tinman..." Vincent says, almost whispering from behind you all.
"Who?" Wuffles_II asks, eyes arched slightly.
"Tinman's the name everyone gives for the head of the local crime syndicate. Er, co-head. Tinman's a Jew, and his partner's Enza - high up in Cosa. Bad news, both of them." He turns to the man in the Armani suit. "But what are they doing here?"
"Enforcement, maybe? Bit gig?" the man in the Armani suit said.
"No, no, no," Vincent said, head swerving back and forth. "If they're sending this slab of muscle," gesturing to Wrath_of_DoG, "they're here for more than a few bucks. This is not good."
"What did you say was in that case, guy?" Guardman shouts from the back of the room. The man in the Armani suit glanced up, said nothing, and returned to looking at his dead counterpart, his face caught between relief and tense recognition.
“Samson” - Mafia Jack of All Trades
SELECTION FROM TRANSCRIPT OF DEPOSITION OF ALAN MARKOWITZ
A: I don’t know... oh, don’t look at me like that, you *****. Okay, okay! Yeesh.
Look, I haven’t seen the guy. None of us have. Er, I mean, maybe some of them have, but they ain’t talking about it. Most people don’t... they just feel kinda fuzzy about the whole experience and would rather just not think about it. If, y’know, he didn’t just pound their heads into fuzziness.
But most think he’s the boss’ kid. Youngest, but you wouldn’t know it from the descriptions people give - third-hand, y’know. Big hulking guy, with this weird baby face that looks like he was born a seven-foot golem two days ago. Strong as hell. One guy said his brother said he’d seen him shrug off three bullets in the sternum, take the gun’s owner, and shove it all the way up his... well. No idea if he really is Tinman’s youngest kid, but that seems to be the general - right, right, you know.
But nobody knows his name. I don’t, and nobody else does. Most of them don’t even think he has a last name, much less his father’s. Everybody just calls him “Samson.” Y’know, Old Testament guy. Because that’s what the guy does - some Old Testament level ****.
[REDACTED]
POINTS: You begin the game with 1 point. Whenever a mafia member dies (including you), you gain 1 point.
ABILITIES: Tools of the Trade - You have the following one-shot abilities. They each cost 1 point to use.
(T/N/1) - Send in the name of a player. You will kill your target. Your kill method is immolation.
(T/N/1) - Send in the name of a player. For the next two nights, if that player targets a mafia member with an ability, that ability is countered.
(T/N/1) - Target player is +3 to lynch tomorrow.
(A/N/1) - If three or more abilities target the mafia tonight, those abilities are canceled.
(T/N/1) - The mafia receive your target’s role PM.
Eleventh Hour (P/N/P) - The night after you die, you may activate your abilities normally as if you had not died (provided you still have enough points for the abilities you use). You may not make the mafia nightkill in this way.
It is now Night 2. Deadline for abilities is June 14th at 9pm MST.
(EDIT: Small extension to accommodate the maintenance/my schedule.)
Alright, giving everyone a heads-up: night will end when I get a chance to put everything together, but this weekend is going to be rough for me. My goal is to get to day Saturday or Sunday, but I don't know. Moral of this story is don't work for a political campaign.
Watch this space
EDIT: And my wireless went out Sunday night. Sorry, sorry, sorry. Everything's almost done; I'll get Day up tomorrow, along with (as some have suggested) looking for a backup mod in case things go south again.
V/LA 22nd to the 30th. I'll be at the happiest place on Earth(Disney World) which should have internet because how could it be the happiest place on Earth without internet, right? But even so, I'll be limited in posting.
As soon as you return to the empty common room, you can see your numbers have fallen again. With trepidation, you turn and head back down the halls, looking for your fallen members.
Guardman is found quickly, her body prostrate in the middle of the hall. Her face is turned upward, and a large rag protrudes from her face. Archmage leans down and smells the rag, and pulls back his face sharply just as fast. "She wasn't long," he says quietly, and you move on.
A ghastly scene greets you outside zindabad's room. He, unfortunately, couldn't greet you himself, but the pool of blood around his open door is the first clue. As you tip back the door, you reveal in the dim light zindabad himself, seemingly leaning against the wall. But his feet hang just above the floor, and his head is held up by a long, ancient sword, piercing through his mouth and the wall. Blood flows from both ends of the sword, along his arm and the wall and to the ground, inexorably.
A few of you can't take it, and turn around heaving. DRey has a slightly stronger temperament, and examines the body. After a moment, he coughs slightly. "There's something else here."
You all peer around the swinging door, and DRey nervously shines his light on it. A red dripping mark glistens on the wall, smeared but seemingly legible. But the word looks like nothing you've ever seen.
Archonoid tilts his head around, examining the word at every angle. "Looks like... he wrote that..."
"What does it mean?" DRey asks.
Vincent walks up, with the man in the Armani suit trailing behind, and looks at the word for a moment. "Means you're in serious ****," he deadpans. Without waiting for consideration of his theory, they saunter off toward the main room, leaving you to get zindabad down from his perch.
Det. Trisha Stern - Town Beta Cop
“I’m sorry, Detective, but upstairs said no. They say you’re the best detective we have on the local beat, and Major Crimes doesn’t need more men. Better luck next year.”
More men?! you wanted to shout. Of course they need men. The brass has been telling you and everyone else in the office for three months now that Major Crimes is understaffed, needs more people after the death of those two detectives in July. Of course they need more people, but they sure as hell don’t want more women now do they.
You shoved the door of the commander’s office open with your foot and storm out. You’ve been on the force fifteen years now, and every male member of your academy class is at least one level over you by this point - those who haven’t resigned or died. And most of them have resigned, once they hit that high point. You’ve seen them, the Major Crimes boys and the Internals both, talking excitedly with pinstriped men they’ve “brought in for some questioning”. Heh. Not much questioning there. And the cops’ pockets always seem to bulge a bit more when the pinstriped men leave. Meanwhile, you get to talk to every small dealer, pimp, smuggler, counterfeiter, or hitman in Queens.
You changed into street clothes and packed your things to go for the day, the bad news ringing in your ears, you watched one of the pinstriped men saunter out the door. Your better judgment might have said no on a different day, but today your better judgment wore a look of spiteful glee, and you started following him. Follow enough petty crooks, and you learn nobody really notices a good tail. Soon, you found yourself here, among more than a few people you’ve put away in your day job, and the man in the pinstriped suit lying dead there on the ground.
You’ve seen a lot of evil men in your day, but the pinstriped man’s killer is unfamiliar. You don’t know if he’s with the mafia, like the man he cut down, or if he’s a new threat. ALCOHOLIC: You have a serious problem that you cure through enthusiastic self-medication. You should thus post like an angry drunk. Well, my scum list was: WoD, Niv, IB, and one of you, Arch, TCM, or Eron. If you are what I think you are, then that means I may be wrong about IB, which raises Arch's alignment into question.
Basically, I need more bodies before I can fulfill my win condition (since we have a handful of uncooperative players), and I'm following the "lynch who I think is scum so we can resolve the Neutrals" path, since that seems to be the easiest.

The "lynch who I think is scum" gameplan is something we have in common. I think you've just decided on people's alignments in together far too quickly.
Do we intend to handle Tordeck's claims today, AE/Iso, since Zinda is no longer around to confirm/corroborate your claims?
Also, are you implying IB/Arch are linked somehow, Iso?
The person killing is the Vigilante.
They have a kill restriction that would be absolutely terrible on an SK, as it would PoE them if they managed to survive.
We are not protecting the SK. We are protecting the Vig.

I know I stopped something on Arc. That may have been the phantom Vig you are talking about (since no one else is coming forward to claim targeting him) But the kill that succeeded can only possible be on an anti-town role and I am certain its the SK.
The Family

The Family
No, you clearly state that scum targeting you are blocked in a clear misrepresentation of your role in order to press your case harder.
Well, the mafia kill people and the SK kills people... there's no proof any kill came from a townie.
Why are you being so hostile? I am the only neutral to permanently reach their wincon (openly anywho), so about all I will do is state my opinion to reach the end of the game as quickly as possible. You, on the otherhand, are actively manipulating the players to your own personal gain.
The SK is the largest threat to the scum, more so than the town even. Not only can he carelessly trim their number, there's a large volume of neutrals to hide in easily.
If we have as many neutrals as they claim, then the town never had a chance to win. If the town was not the majority (or close to) at the beginning of the game, then the scum had an incredibly high chance to win compared to them.
DRey, that seems a little rash, especially if WoD flips scum.

You'll have to remind me which one that was.
And then I came clean about my full ability. I'm surprised no one asked me about the disconnect there between the people who are fighting for a similar cause and those fighting for themselves...blahblahetc.

Mythic rarity is not destroying the game. People whine too much for no good reason. Magic is more popular than ever, so keep calm, brew some decks and play some damn cards.
"...a talisman against all evil, so long as you obey me."

You might think it is, but it isn't.

V/LA 22nd to the 30th. I'll be at the happiest place on Earth(Disney World) which should have internet because how could it be the happiest place on Earth without internet, right? But even so, I'll be limited in posting.
They hate us cause they ain't us.
But no matter who he is, you’re here to do your job. You rub the badge on your belt, below your bulky sweatshirt, and bide your time.

ALCOHOLIC: You have a serious problem that you cure through enthusiastic self-medication. You should thus post like an angry drunk. If you don’t know how an angry drunk talks, try drinking before posting. (Actually, don’t do that.) Breaking your posting restriction will prevent you from using your ability the following night. Good luck, enjoy, and try not to insult anyone’s mother.
ABILITIES:
A Friendly Bar Brawl (T/N/P) - Send in the name of a player. You will block all abilities your target takes this night. That player may not vote tomorrow. You may only target players for whom you voted or who voted for you the previous day.
Deadline is July 11th at 11pm MST.
Still working on Niv (who's definitely getting replaced) and a backup mod, but I figured it's worth getting this up now.
Experiments Series: #5 (Courtly Intrigue Mafia) | #4 (Drunken Tracker) | #3 (Big Red Button) - coming soon | #2 (Pope Mafia) | #1 (Iso's Inflammable Mafia)
Mini Games: MTGS Mafia Redux II (Invitational, Evil Mirror Universe) | Unreal City
Old Games (bad): The Greenwood Affair | Blood Moon Mafia
Let's save Xyre the trouble.

Guardsman flipping town confirms one of the three of EP, Eron & TCM as lying. Not sure where the grey area is there.
Unless you can give me reason to believe Archonoid is scum over you.
Or is that what the "check your PMs" thing is about?

Xyre is slow on the uptake, so it seems. Give him a while.
How does Arch factor into this, without my information?
Basically, I need more bodies before I can fulfill my win condition (since we have a handful of uncooperative players), and I'm following the "lynch who I think is scum so we can resolve the Neutrals" path, since that seems to be the easiest.

Do we intend to handle Tordeck's claims today, AE/Iso, since Zinda is no longer around to confirm/corroborate your claims?
Also, are you implying IB/Arch are linked somehow, Iso?
