Sometime in the next week or so I will be going on an emergency V/LA while my daughter undergoes yet another surgery. I will announce when, when I find out the exact date.
You are being disrespectful EP, stop taking me for a fool, I don't do that to your points.
Anyway, with Gdan reminde I'm now fine with this lynch before testing the election, let's hope TIk is really the scum of the dichotomy.
EWP: btw if I die tonight, it was EP.

The game is not being dumbed down. Control is doing fine; Draw-Go is not the only kind of control. Aggro is doing fine; Red Deck Wins is not the only kind of aggro. Creature combat is an important core concept and belongs in every color. Mythic rarity is not destroying the game. People whine too much for no good reason. Magic is more popular than ever, so keep calm, brew some decks and play some damn cards.
Yeah, I'm not liking the sound of that either. -Any chance the vig's restriction would allow him to kill Xyre tonight? Maybe he can get the job done if he doesn't announce it before hand.

The old man turns to the man in the Armani suit, and walks slowly up to him, as the rest of the angry crowd watches on. The man in the Armani suit raises an eyebrow. "So, did you take my case?"
"Son..." the old man begins slowly, "I want you to know, while you may not believe it... may not believe that you are worthy of the sacrifices on your behalf, you are... forgiven." He kneels slightly, resting the gun hanging from the man in the Armani suit's hand against his head.
"How..." the man in the Armani sputters, too quiet for anyone but The Cold Monarch to hear.
"My son. He looks at me that way. And I understand, and I forgive him. Maybe you too will learn that lesson. Now..."
The man in the Armani suit nods slightly. "Did you take my case?"
"No," the old man says evenly. "None of us did."
The man in the Armani suit nods again, caught his own repetition, then slowly raised the gun to The Cold Monarch's level, and pulled the trigger once. Silently, the body collapsed to the ground. As the rest of the living converge on him to find his identification, the man in the Armani suit froze for a second, then caught himself, turned, and slouched from the room, with Vincent behind him.
Peter Aleksandrov - Mafia Necromancer
Forty years ago, you were the only doctor on your crumbling block in the old Union. Your defibrillator was a set of jumper cables. But you prided yourself on serving in a small way - in the knowledge that, while life was hard in the cold, the alternative was far worse.
One day, a young American boy, son of a Jewish mid-level associate in the local embassy, came in through your door, bleeding profusely. He had been hit by a careless drunken driver, pitched across the street. Deep red streaks already appeared beneath his skin. You weren’t prepared for this, but you nonetheless gave the boy a brave face and a small cup full of vodka, and before you took to him with the scalpel to stop the bleeding, he looked at you with a mortal fear, and you just grinned, and patted his head, and whispered words of Russian comfort, and he fell to unconsciousness with a weak smile on his face. And with a few deft strokes of the scalpel and needle, you stopped the bleeding just in time.
Now that man stands in your small office in New York. He’s older now, with a trim beard and withered eyes, and a smooth tailored suit. His soft eyes catch you admiring it. “Very lovely, the best money can buy.” He doesn’t need to remind you where the money came from.
He moves slowly, delicately, his hand idly brushing over your computer as he walks from behind your desk to meet you in the doorway. “Peter, old friend... I’m sorry I had to come to meet you this way. But you’ve drained your account.”
Account. Good will for a good deed. You hide your scornful surprise with soft eyes. Apparently the life of a crime boss is only worth thirty years of good fortune. And what of his fortunes, and his good luck? Perhaps you asked of him one too many times... asking for safe passage to the United States as the Soviet Union buckled under its own weight, and for a good life for your son, so he might forget what his father had done, and where he had gone. But you had lived scrupulously - still working the old practice in the sagging brownstone for thirty years, never a vacation day, even into your seventies, to prove you deserved to be in this country. Maybe you enjoyed an occasional luxury - what of it? And now your accounts -
“I don’t want to have to withdraw my gifts, Peter, especially to your son. His superiors tell me he’s doing wonderfully... that his inventions will someday save innumerable lives.” He tips his head slightly at you. “But if you forget our arrangement...”
“No!” you almost shout, and your employer startles at your broken composure. “No... I will do what you need, this one time... But after this,” with fierceness in your voice, “Let my son live free. Let me retire. Let an old man sleep.”
Your show of force has shaken him, and for a moment you think you can see a trace of that old fear, that mortal weakness, in the boy, but soon it passes, and he smiles lightly, and puts a hand on your shoulder, in comfort, but you can’t feel it through the numbness racing across your chest.

POINTS: You begin the game with 1 point. Whenever a mafia member dies, you gain 1 point.
ABILITIES: Preservation (T/N/P) - Send in the name of a player. Your target is immune to the first kill on him/her this night. You may target yourself if you pay 1 point.

Since I will be at this wedding through the weekend, night will end Sunday at 11pm MST.
You wander into the middle of the main meeting room to a disturbing sight. It seems some of you have been busy.
DRey's lying on his back, his expression locked in a melted terrified mirth, with stretch marks over his face. Next to him lies Void, her body battered and lined with dark marks. Her face has fallen onto the pillow still clenched in her hand.
Most gruesomely, their bodies are bookended by the two halves of Cyouni, who has been sliced cleanly in half by an unseen weapon.
Some of you turn away in reflexive disgust, but a few hollower ones stand in grim satisfaction. Two dead scum. Maybe things are looking up.
“Dr. Warren Dempsey” - Neutral Doctor
The lab coat is two sizes too big. It looks more like a white trench. But people don’t think about it - they see white, and they see an aluminum stethoscope you bought for four dollars at a toy store, and they draw their own conclusions. And you trade in conclusions.
You spent weeks following the coat’s former owner, studying his mannerisms and habits. Older fellow, with a big white beard and a hearty laugh, a caffeine habit, a friendly smile for kids. Probably did a couple of the nurses back in the day.
The two of you met when you showed up in one of your many disguises - long since forgotten - complaining of pain in your lower gut. He prescribed antacids for acid reflux, which you didn’t take, and when your symptoms got worse, right on schedule, he scheduled you for another visit. When he turned to make a note on the board about your rapidly developing cirrhosis, he couldn’t see the needle swinging toward his neck. Fake beard and stethoscope, and you stepped from that room a new man, your past just as quickly behind you again.
You didn’t count on him being still deep in debt. Guess you really can’t know a man after all. But so what? Everyone trusts the kindly old doctor - especially in a dangerous place like this. So you don’t know anything about medicine. Who will notice the difference? Alive one day, dead the next... and nobody’s going to check a dead man for the marks of a medical probe. And soon, you’ll just as quickly disappear, with a new name, new wealth, and new future.
LYNCHER: During the pregame, send in the name of a player. That player is your first Patient.
ABILITIES: Primum Non Nocere (T/N/P) - Send in the name of a player other than yourself. You will prevent the first kill that targets that player this night. That player is -1 to lynch the next day. If that player survives the night, he or she becomes the Patient. (There can only be one Patient.)
AWC - Lynch a Patient
Asher Golta - Mafia Overseer
You couldn’t help but pop an imaginary bottle of champagne watching the pinstriped man fall. As obstacles go, he was a particular nuisance. And you pride yourself on eliminating every obstacle.
Eight years ago, you slank from the ruins of the convention center with the pieces in place to unleash your virus on the unwitting public. It made Terra a vast fortune, and with it came accolades, promotions, bonuses - all the tokens of success you sought. But you soon discovered, having reached this new peak, that you stood merely on one mountain in a vast and Olympian range. Being closer to your betters only made you recognize yet how far you had to go.
But power did bring you closer, and with that closeness you began to build partnerships (“partnerships”) throughout the industry. One in particular proved fruitful at the time - the CEO of a rapidly-growing company named Techra Future Computing. Michael D’Amico was not a particularly bright man in life, but he knew the value of a strong connection. If you thought for a moment about anything but your ambition at that first meeting, you might have recognized him as a kindred spirit. D’Amico not only provided you a foothold in the industry, he also connected you with his own superiors in the mafia. And immediately, you saw a new path to a higher mountain.
The massacre at TFC had been a fortunate turn of events, but you supposed fortune owed you one. Who could expect D’Amico would not only survive his poisoning, but would become twice as dangerous in the process? But it all worked out. D’Amico died, TFC was gutted, and the mafia lost a major power base - allowing you to swoop in, at the head of Terra, to replace them. And at the right hand of the two families, you knew you could soon surpass them as well. The pinstriped fellow was here to relay to them your conditions, but it’s just as well - one less middleman, one fewer obstacle between you and the power you want.
Now all you need is to get out of here. But you see the man in that suit, and you feel as if you’ve seen him before, in some dark corner. A dangerous man. In a perverse way, you admire him - a servant in his lord’s house like you. Perhaps once you’ve wiped the people here away, he’ll be open to negotiation. If not with you, then perhaps with his own gun’s bullet. One more obstacle, one more bullet, one more coin in your hand... and how heavy they feel...

ABILITIES: Surveille (T/N/P) - Send in the name of a player. You will learn the name of any abilities that player uses this night.
Watch Over Me (P/N/P) - When you die, the next night, mafia members will be informed who targets them with abilities.
Luisa Clarke - Mafia Lover
When you were sixteen, you were a beauty contest champion. Not because you were the prettiest girl in the borough, or because you had some exceptional talent, or because you offered “favors” to the judges beforehand. Those were your opponents, who had to stand by with cracked-mirror smiles as you received the crown with tears in your eyes. Even crying, your talent showed - a perfect smile no one could tell was untrue. The other girls smiled with eyes wide open, and the judges smiled back in recognition, but when they saw you, they believed it, for just a second - believed you meant it.
Four years later, you were one of the most successful models in New York, and on a shoot you met the love of your life, Alex. He was the photographer at the shoot, for some glamour magazine, and as soon as he saw your smile, he was smitten. And when you saw the photographs, and the way he captured that smile, you believed it too. You had always seen how people were smitten by your image, and that always kept you away, but seeing yourself on that page, you believed in everything others saw in you. He was your lens, and you loved him for it.
But then time moved on. You started to age, and soon job offers began to slow. They loved the smile, they said when you challenged them, but we need to see more, and you just don’t have it anymore. PIcking younger girls, prettier girls, girls with “favors” - the ones you’d left behind caught up. And while Alex told you he always thought you were beautiful, you started to disbelieve him. So you turned to the mafia. One of the heads had always liked you, and told you once he could always help you in a time of need. He told you, if you joined in this job, he would get you some more work. Without any options, you agreed.
You brought Alex along. He looked at you quizically. “Why are you interested in local politics all of a sudden?” You just laughed and flashed him that brilliant smile, and he laughed back and followed you. Inwardly, you can’t bear to lie to him. But you must, for his safety. And so you smile, you smile, and the mask fits tighter on your face.

LOVERS: Your lover, ____, is here with you. The two of you may communicate at any time - PM the mod an email address which he may use to add you to the group. Your lover is not aware of your true allegiance.
ABILITIES: Subdue (T/N/P) - Send in the name of a player. If both you and your lover target the same player with this ability during the night, you gain control of one of that player’s votes tomorrow. He/she will be allowed to vote, but either of you may change that vote at any time (with the form Azrael Votes Xyre, either in-thread or via PM), and he/she will not be able to unvote that vote. In addition, you will block all abilities that player uses this night (even if your lover doesn’t participate).
Day 4 is deadlined for July 25th. 6 to lynch or shutdown.

According to WoD's preredacted pm, there are 4 scum, so only the SK is left.
I am a cult leader, but only kind of. I recruit people int a communication group,, and my cultists give people "the word." My AWC is having all living players hear said word. I need likely one, but up to 2 more nights to complete it.
I have 4 players in my communication group, and another 3 players have heard "the word," including Xyre. I just need another Night to win with the town. My name as not been given to me. My cultists have not had their win conditons or alignments changed.
Phone post.

So, I take it that being a cult-like leader makes you neutral?
Answer me this, what is the difference between those who have heard and those in the group actually?
Well lets see there Macius my very first post of the Day and the first post of the Day over all called for a mass claim and for what that would entail. Seeing how you read G_D's post which was only 3 after mine I would think you would have read mine as well.

Cyan - Jack Larsen - Neutral Conspiracy Theorist - Smothered Night 1
Guardman - Det. Trisha Stern - Town Beta Cop - Smothered Night 2
zindabad - Trevor Murphy - Town Alcoholic - Impaled by a holy sword Night 2
DRey (r. pinkys brain) - "Dr. Warren Dempsey" - Neutral Doctor - Smothered Night 3
Cyouni - Asher Golta - Mafia Overseer - Sliced in half Night 3
Void (r. Niv) - Luisa Clarke - Mafia Lover - Beaten to death Night 3
Arcadic was killed by our Vig, as there is a missing "beaten" flavor on Night 2, but not Night 3 - our Vig kills people who have the lowest postcount, and Void would have died Night 2 if not for TCM. Smothered is the mafia kill flavor - Night 1, 2, and 3 it has occurred. That means that the SK didn't kill on Night 1 (or he targeted Arcadic, as Tordeck said), Zindabad on Night 2, and Cyouni on Night 3. So who had motivation to kill Arcadic, Zindabad, and Cyouni? I'm gonna go look back on this.

I've not had time to post, but i've been reading. Guardman's attacks on KCC are translucent, meaning that anyone who's actually reading the game can see that Guardman is pushing on KCC for things previously stated as false, and the fact that guardman believes KCC's inaccurate representation of the situation is scummy is very scummy for guardman.
Lets look at the facts as i see them:
1. KCC was vanillified
2. No-one claimed it.
Therefore, doesn't that mean that whoever vanillified KCC is very likely scum?
unvote vote guardman
We know Guardman is town, so that theory is shot down.
I don't think that anyone whos' claimed neutral should be written off. If anything, all these neutral claims need to be further scrutinized to make sure they are actual neutral. Take TCM's neutral claim, he first said his AWC was achieved, then denied being neutral, then now claims he can lose his AWC's status of being achieved. His method of trying to win is bad as well, he is essentially a townie that might have to hunt neutrals to win. His behavior does not mesh with what his claim actually is. I would keep a close eye on TCM because of this.
TCM has already been proven mafia so that theory's down.
So, your content to not scumhunt at all and instead just coast through the game? You're essentially town that needs to kill neutrals as well at some point, yet you act nothing like it. Vigs that might exist, please shoot TCM.
Guardman continues to not make sense, and zionite continues to make all the sense. Lynch guardman plz.
Misrep. Zionite never said he knew for sure what his lovers alignment was. Your twisting it into him knowing his partners alignment for fact, where he only knows that they are not confirmed to each other. Also, why would a lover partner come forward anyway? To paint a target on their back?
Would also be fine in seeing :
TCM
Drey
IB
dead today.
Arcadic expresses suspicion in IB. I would still like for IB to name claim.
because everyone is on his scumlist. Everyone. Show me one pro-town action drey has taken. He's bloodthirsty and does not care about the reasons for anyone's lynch.
So your not paying attention but you have enough knowledge of the game to want 4+ people dead? That's believable. Actually, this is just deflection away from your terrible pushes on these people, your trying to wave off your scummy behavior by self-meta'ing yourself into "i'm a bad player day 1" but your actions show you very involved and knowing of the gamestate. Try again.
If i were you, i'd be voting you for using self-meta, after all, that's the reason you voted zionite over KCC isn't it?
Fix'd Fix'd and oh so Fix'd.
Here's a classic Drey flip-flop. 1st Post shows him willing to trust KCC's claim
2nd post, 2 hours later, shows Drey's utter doubt in TFF's claim. What?
You can't defend KCC's claim and then use someone trusting KCC's claim as evidence someone is scummy. Unless your scum.
unFOS, FOS Drey.
Would also keep my FOS on Guardman as well.
Vigs, SK's and EP's, please shoot the scum Drey.
Blaaaaah DRey blah.
So from what I can see, the person who had the most to gain from Arcadic dying was IB.

Iso and Macius each scream in pain as violent tremors tear through their bodies. They collapse suddenly to the floor, convulsing wildly for several seconds. Their arms and legs shake and shutter while flailing about.
The rest of you stand frozen, staring at the unexpected scene. But before any of you has a chance to react, they both fall silent and motionless. They slowly begin to pick themselves up. "Don't worry. I'm fine."
"Yeah, it was nothing." But their words fool no one. They are visibly drained from the event.

Remember how I said we definitely shouldn't power up E_P? Can anyone explain to me where the benefit to the town is in giving a neutral the ability to control the D1 lynch? How are we coming out ahead because we gave E_P what he wanted?
I'm pretty much down to lynch TCM - hey, at worst we're lynching a neutral, which is kind of my plan anyway - but Macius not reading the game gives me a bit of a twinge. I still have plenty more notes to unload too, so expect that to happen in the near future.
So who killed Cyan? Was the shot on you a mafia extra kill or what exactly?
I mean, I'd love to head down this path, since a scum flip on WoD will probably also condemn ganderin "I'm surprised Iso is still alive" dan as well, but I need more info.
I don't really feel the need to talk about who killed Arcadic - it's all there in black and white.
Bizarre lack of any mention at all of what Iso claimed about WoD today, DRey.
Explanation for that? Considering it's kind of the biggest thing to happen today and that you reckon that both Mafia and SK kills went through, I'm surprised you didn't cover it in your theory.
So let me get this straight - at least 3 different people are supposed to have targeted Arcadic, one of the most inconsequential players in the game so far, last night.
One of them was the killer, one of them was some unknown mystery player whose ability tordeck claims he was able to delay, and one of them was tordeck himself.
I know beyond a shadow of a doubt why the killer killed Arcadic. That info is also in the thread. I have no idea why tordeck, who considers himself the "doc", would have spent a doc protect on such a non-entity of a player, which leads me to believe that part is nonsense.
I think this whole "tordeck delayed info" blow-up is an attempt to smokescreen attention off his caught scumbuddy WoD. He thinks he has found a plausible reason to go after me, viz. I won't divulge the (apparent) identity of Arcadic's killer, so he can pursue that and distract from WoD, much like Void did in Starcraft Mafia when his teammate CPE was caught. I doubt tordeck targeted Arcadic last night.
So I'm going to plump for a vote: WoD, with intent to flip him and show Dan and tordeck up for the scum they are.
TordeckdanWoD
And that's zindabad.
Both Arcadic and zindabad wanted infectiousbaloth dead. I think that's our best lead. Vote IB

Here's my theory: I was targeted by the man in the Armani suit a Night or two ago. dan will attest to this. The man put something around my wrist, told me not to tell anyone, and said it was within my interest that he survived. I think IB is the man in the Armani suit. Why? Because he won't claim his name and as soon as I pushed for it this thing between Macius and myself happened. Both Arcadic and zindabad wanted IB dead. And IB showed up at the same time this happened, and is now asking questions about my role.
So if we have to lynch one of us toDay, I would much prefer it to be Macius, but if we can No Lynch, then we need to do that and, regardless, take out IB tomorrow.

Anyway, with Gdan reminde I'm now fine with this lynch before testing the election, let's hope TIk is really the scum of the dichotomy.
EWP: btw if I die tonight, it was EP.
Mythic rarity is not destroying the game. People whine too much for no good reason. Magic is more popular than ever, so keep calm, brew some decks and play some damn cards.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
540 Peasant cube- Gold EditionSomething SpicyI can assure you that I did not Vanillafy myself.
Not a clue. -But I wasn't looking for it.
Yeah, I'm not liking the sound of that either. -Any chance the vig's restriction would allow him to kill Xyre tonight? Maybe he can get the job done if he doesn't announce it before hand.
Are you saying you think EP is controlling the man in the Armani suit, or that you think EP will kill you? Or both? -Any reasons for either?
Hope it goes alright, brobro.
Unfortunately, that's not a possibility for a while.

ABILITIES:
Primum Non Nocere (T/N/P) - Send in the name of a player other than yourself. You will prevent the first kill that targets that player this night. That player is -1 to lynch the next day. If that player survives the night, he or she becomes the Patient. (There can only be one Patient.)
AWC - Lynch a Patient

ABILITIES:
Surveille (T/N/P) - Send in the name of a player. You will learn the name of any abilities that player uses this night.
Watch Over Me (P/N/P) - When you die, the next night, mafia members will be informed who targets them with abilities.

I am against this, honestly. I'm happy to claim my alignment as town, and so I do not have an AWC. I'm uncomfortable with a name claim.

I had surmised as much when he flipped.

540 Peasant cube- Gold EditionSomething SpicyI have also not been sent my full role PM, and my flavor is basically just "crazy cult leader."
I am neutral.
Any idea why the SK would go after DRey, of all people? Was he barking up the right tree?
G_D the SK kill was Cyouni not DRey.
The Family
For flavourful reasons. I've never played a Xyre game, but I feel that claiming my name would be detrimental to my health.
Void is the Vig kill, and scum wouldnt have killed there own, leaving the SK having to be Cy.
The Family
I think you need to claim your name, IB.
So you think the SK's kill flavor has changed every Night? I'm gonna go look back on this and see if I can figure out who killed who.

Guardman - Det. Trisha Stern - Town Beta Cop - Smothered Night 2
zindabad - Trevor Murphy - Town Alcoholic - Impaled by a holy sword Night 2

TCM has already been proven mafia so that theory's down.
More suspicion on DRey and Guardman - but DRey is a Neutral.
Blah blah blah
Arcadic expresses suspicion in IB. I would still like for IB to name claim.

It now takes 5 votes to lynch Iso or Macius.

TCMMaciusdanTordeckDReyTordeckdanWoDAnd that's zindabad.
Both Arcadic and zindabad wanted infectiousbaloth dead. I think that's our best lead. Vote IB
Other viable options: Macius, KCC, Archonoid
Gonna look at Cyouni now.

I respect that. However, I'm still not comfortable claiming my name; I'm much more interested in looking into G_D, myself.
So if we have to lynch one of us toDay, I would much prefer it to be Macius, but if we can No Lynch, then we need to do that and, regardless, take out IB tomorrow.

I said I was town. The man in the Armani suit wouldn't be town, would he?
@Iso: I am NOT the man in the Armani suit, just for clarity's sake.
Also, if you're convinced that I'm the man in the Armani suit, why would you want to lynch Macius but not me?
That seems odd.
