I really like this card, and am considering adding it to my BG guild section. I have not noticed many people running this card or even talking about it, so I am assuming that I am missing something. This is what I see when I look at Glissa:
3/3 for BGG: not amazing but efficient enough. Not very splashable, but GG isn't hard to get in a green based deck.
First Strike, Deathtouch: BOOM, nothing gets through her on the ground, or stands in her way and lives.
Artifact recursion: Definitely not the ideal colors for this, but there are still a few artifacts in the cube that would really synergize with her.
Overall she seems like a fair package and definitely more interesting than Putrefy (which I currently run). I'm probably (as usual) missing something here... so tell me what it is? Why do you/do you not run Glissa?
She may be more interesting than Putrefy, but my cube as of lately has turned into all valueland, where more and more things are becoming effects strapped to creatures, and basic effects (like instant speed artifact removal) are being neglected (as you see Krosan Grip cut from more and more lists in favor of Indrik Stomphowlers and friends). I think Putrefy is better than it gets credit for.
Her real problem, though, is twofold. 1) B/G is deep. Maelstrom Pulse, Putrefy, Putrid Leech, Spiritmonger, Pernicious Deed are all competing for those slots. 2) BGG is a rough casting cost. if she were 1BG I'd definitely be considering her more
Her casting cost makes it hard to ensure that she will come down dependably on turn 3.
BG decks rarely care about artifacts, so one of her abilities is hit or miss.
BG is deep and at least two other cards (Maelstrom Pulse, Pernicious Deed) totally outclass her in power.
BG is deep and other cards in the color pair are more versatile or more in line with archetypes that guild is good at. If you want BG aggro to be a good dek, you'll run Putrid Leech instead. If you want to push reanimator, Life // Death gets the nod. If BG is generic midrange in your cube, Glissa may make the cut over Spiritmonger, but it's a close call. Putrefy serves a good Swiss army knife role by handling two of the most frequently troublesome permanent types. Note also that Putrefy is a fine splash in a black deck that may otherwise lack outs to artifacts.
Tl; dr: Glissa is good, but there's a lot of competition and she isn't the best fit for some BG archetypes.
I like Glissa but if you draft her, you have to play artifacts to fully maximize the value, and your mana has to be really good. They're other BG cards I'd rather have. I'd say she's the 4th best BG card.
I would play glissa if she was in a less competitive guild. But there's at least 4-5 cards I think are better, so she doesn't make it in small-medium sized cubes.

Aside from Pulse and Deed, what do you value above her?
She's played out better than Spiritmonger here. Casting cost isn't as rough as it would seem and she's pretty easy to drop turn 2 with a mana dork. The artifact recursion ability is pretty useless though so she should be evaluated as just a 3/3 that kills almost anything in combat. I think she's the worst of my 5 G/B gold cards so she'll likely get kicked out when we return to ravnica.
Aside from Pulse and Deed, what do you value above her?
I run Putrefy for the utility and Life//Death because I push reanimator. If I didn't, I might test her for a while in the place formerly occupied by Spiritmonger (although I really, really like Spiritmonger).
She's much better in play than she is on paper, and she's pretty good on paper. She combos with a fair amount of stuff too. I mean 3/3 first striking deathtouchers for 3 mana are above the curve already.
I don't run Deed or Pulse due to budget reasons, so I've had a lot of experience with Glissa. It really doesn't need any artifacts to be playable--midrange BG builds love her, too. First strike/deathtouch is painful to face down in creature matches.
Her artifact fetch ability is not good enough to build around, but she regularly gets back stuff like Perilous Myr, Wurmcoil Engine, and other artifact creatures that die. I've not gotten the Mindslaver lockdown yet, but dammit, the card stays in until it does...
BGG is annoying, but it's not uncommon to play her T2 off a T1 elf.
She's a solid fourth B/G card for me, after Deed, Pulse and Leech, which means that she just misses out in my cube. She's a remarkably good deal for that mana cost, and I'm not sad about playing her a turn late if my mana comes up wrong, as she trumps damn near everything in combat.
I suspect Vulturous Zombie climbs over her too in Multiplayer (damn, that card's a beast when there's a heap of players...).
I've pondered her too, but, again, my BG section is strong. Vulturous, Skullbriar, the Walking Grave, Gaze of the Gorgon, Nath of the Gilt-Leaf and Gleancrawler are currently holding my slots, and the only ones I'd consider swapping out for Glissa are Skullbriar and Gaze (the others are on par, or better, in MP).
And, really, I am waiting to lay hands on Putrefy, Deed and/or Spiritmonger here instead.
I run Glissa and think she's pretty solid. However, I do have a slightly larger multicolor section than most, so she's my sixth card. She'd be my cut if I were to drop to five per guild.
probably even Spiritmonger now that we've entered the Titan era.
Frost Titan: Monger just loses.
Grave Titan: Can't really attack into a never ending horde of zombie tokens effectively. Stalemate.
Inferno Titan: Loses that race. Stalemate.
Primeval Titan: Can at least attack past it pretty well, assuming Primetime doesn't just fetch a Maze of Ith.
Sun Titan: Can theoretically attack past it, but there are several things that Sun can recur to shut down Monger entirely, even just bringing back speed bumps.
So, yeah. Monger is only actually good at dealing with the worst of the Titans, and even then, it can find answers.
Frost Titan is the only one that can attack into it, and black doesn't have a problem dealing with Frost Titan anyways. He only costs 5 mana and can neutralize 4 of the 5 Titans, and Wurmcoil Engine, which is fine.

I don't agree with most of this. Frost Titan is the only one it doesn't brick, it kills the others pretty easily (while surviving), and some of your arguments are based on other 'possible' cards in your deck (Maze, something 'recurrable').
I'm not sure if this is considered thread necromancy since SCD threads don't seem like they could fall into irrelevancy but if this is, I apologize.
My group isn't fond of either of the two drops in Golgari so we've been trying Glissa out in our unpowered 360. So I played with her today and was relatively impressed. The casting cost was surprisingly really manageable was never a problem. The only awkward part of her was that the recursion effect seems to beg to be broken but doesn't activate often, not because of difficulty setting up the trigger but since artifacts don't often hit the grave as often.
But when it did trigger, it was very nice. Getting back an expiring Tangle Wire to completely seal the game off felt very good.
Besides that though, it occasionally got back a Perilous Myr but nothing to write about.
My group's colorless section is admittedly less than ideal due to cost restrictions but I imagine Glissa to become quite good as artifacts get cheaper and better. Has opinions on her changed recently? I think she's a really interesting and strong card from my limited experience with her.

She's pretty great for us without her ability triggering almost ever. While its possible to abuse the ability I think you basically have to consider it as gravy.
If the Golgari section wasn't ridiculously stacked with better/more important options, I'd be using her. She's a good combat monster with an occasionally relevant recursion effect. She misses the boat for me though, because she's got a pretty bad casting cost for a card trying to compete with some of the best multicolored spells available in the cube.
I like Glissa in my small multicolor section. Although, arguably there are other cards that are better in terms of usability (e.g., Maelstrom Pulse, Putrefy etc.), I opt to use Glissa simply because the cube is already packed with removal spells that do similar duties like said cards. Life / Death is interesting though, and Putrid Leech is a good creature, but it doesn't stand much out in the crowd like Glissa with her first strike, deathtouch and artifact recurring ability. You could easily dedicate your entire BG section with good removals (Deed, Putrefy, Pulse, Abrupt Decay etc.), but you might want to have BG offer players something other than just good removal spells.
I currently run Deed, Glissa and Grisly Salvage in my BG section. Grisly Salvage can put cards in the graveyard which helps reanimate strategies, and can help Glissa's artifact ability or simply refill your hand with creature or land (depending on your deck strategy). I like this set-up, obviously, but I'm also currently looking to expand my multicolor section a tad. I think there's too many good and fun multicolor cards that are missing out in a 360 cube. There's a lot of viable options out there which is why assembling our own cube(s) is such a fun experience
