Anybody ever considered this one? Unlike Kjeldoran Outpost, its Alliances brother, you don't automatically lose tempo off the sacrifice, and this land alone is enough for Mana Leak or Miscalculation on the theoretical land destruction. The opportunity to scry 1 every time you have extra mana seems good.
Quite the throwback here. Makes bounce and LD painful in exchange for a 3 mana (1 plus this lands 2) scry one per turn ability? Doesn't seem too great to me.
If this bounced any land when it ETB or if it had a different way to Scry without tapping it might be good enough. As is it's virtually unplayable outside of a deck running mostly Islands.
Too high risk of a juicy blowout with too little payoff, I say. Wasteland and Strip Mine are certainly playable in most cube decks I've drafted.
I'd rather put a random Ravnica bounceland in a deck, because it sort of 'draws me a land.' Bouncelands make 2 land hands very keepable, but this one just counts as your second land rather than your second AND third, with a weak scry effect you will never use attached.

This, exactly - this card was in the original iteration of my cube and it's too risky for the small effect it offers. It's decent-to-great if it sticks and you can spare the mana for the activations but it's rare that that's the case outside the occasional grindy control mirror.
