I'm actually really excited. It'll give everyone a chance to really get into the Gatecrash guilds, with new color interactions and play strategies, nearly an entirely new format within the same block! Then we get to combine all the guilds and really start putting together mad scientist decks (well, at least until it becomes evident that certain color/guild combinations are just pants-on-head ridiculous and need to be avoided).

Now each draft format throughout the block will be unique and interesting. |

Anyway, 3x new set is clearly way more exciting, to the point where I hope this setup (large-large-small) is the new baseline.

I've thought about it some more and I really like it. Plus, all the pre-releases of triple-new set draft are now actually relevant. I usually avoid playing those so as not to pick up bad habits or skew expectations. Now, it's good training!

I just like triple-large-set drafts best anyway--more room to build a consistent, synergistic deck when you have a decent shot at multiples of the same common. And they just feel more coherent as formats than block drafts or (especially) winter-set drafts. I do think RGD v. 2 will be special by virtue of having 10 draftable guilds, though.
