01.01.05 - We Have The Code For Sub-Forums! Other Issues

Thanks to our fellow member, Feyd_Ruin, who knows alot about php and phpBB2, we now have the code to install custom tag abilities and sub-forums. It'll be later today before we have them due to the time it takes, but we will have them.

On behalf of the staff here, I'd like to apologize for the feel of chaos that's still prominent in the air. While I anticipated this event, and had created this forum, I had no idea that it would happen so suddenly. Several issues are being taken care of. There will soon be a Storyline staff for those who wish to discuss the various MTG stories, there will also be sub-forums so we can clean up the main board and it won't seem quite as big. We want you all to feel comfortable here, and not confused.

Also, let's try to avoid to much mention of the recent events at 'News. We realize its important, but we don't want too extreme of flaming to rise out of the ashes of all this and occur here on our boards. Our staff is watching for these things. While we're a bit more leniant about spam, we aren't about flaming people.

Speaking of mods it has come to our attention that people have questioned the number of mods we have. The reason for this is because several of our mods attend school, and we need extra people who can pick up the downtime. Not only that, but we don't want things that should be taken care of to go unattended. I personally feel that MTGnews was understaffed, and that's something I wish not to continue.

Again, I thank all of you who've PM'd me or shown your support and thanks to this site. It's great to have you all aboard, and I hope our community grows into what MTGnews once was!
