I did a search and couldn't find a thread on this card so I figured I would start one. Came across this long forgotten relic the other day and started thinking about what a beating this card could be for most aggro and midrange decks. Am I missing something and this card is just bad? For 1 mana it seems to me like it could be great for control combined with any type of vigilant creature or manland. If nothing else it shoud be able to buy some much needed time to stablilize. Also I know this card has been changed to creatures with power 3 or more but we would play the card as printed.
Leelue's right, this card hasn't been changed at all. It always did what it does.
More importantly, fast agro decks have no trouble playing 2/X creatures and beating you down with them. More importantly, they can still hit you with a 3+/X guy if they want, and you haven't stopped that with this card. It doesn't help control all that much.
On the other hand, it doesn't clear blockers and is terrible against vigilance guys, so it's even worse against control.
It's like an anti-mid-range card that doesn't actually stop a threat. You can play a bunch of 3-drops and cast overrun, for example.
It just does too little. It can buy you time, but it uses up a draw to do so, which means it needs to buy you more than a turn to be worth it. I don't think that is likely to happen...

I already acknowledged that. It was my mistake.

Lol you are right. I read the new wording on later editions and thought they changed it. It's me that can't read.

All good points. That's why I asked.
