Default [MOR] Dewdrop Spy {Rumoured}

The rumour gods and Oona have come together to bring you a small tidbit:

Drewdrop Spy 1UU
Creature-Faerie Rogue C
Flash
Flying
When dewdrop Spy comes into play, look at the top card of target player's library
2/2
Wayne England 30/150

One of the few Flash faeries we've seen in Morningtide so far. I don't know if I'd quite replace Pestermite in my faerie or rogue decks for this but it definately seems like a great common limited flyer and the little bit of extra info it provides couldn't hurt. One of the few Faeries that can survive the sting of a Desert which definately helps it! The extra point of toughness allows you to ambush most 1/1's and survive to do a pseudo haste attack the following turn. A great little card!

If that's real and accurate.... ()
I'm shocked at the efficiency of the flash creatures in this block. 2/2 flying flash for 3 mana? Wind Drake has become SO horrible lately.
Blue control decks have a slew of creatures that can be cast if they don't counter something on the opponent's turn now. And a 2/2 flier at 3 mana is great, not to mention the free look at their top card.

Awesome in limited (because it's common), dunno about T2. I think the faerie decks in the coming months will go into a mono-black direction with a Rogue and discard subtheme.

Anyways, 2/2 is a rather rare power/toughness for a faerie.

It's an okay card I guess, but the ability is a bit meh.. There are not that many cards in Faeries that can take advantage of knowing the top card of someone's library (that I can think of).

I'd play Pestermite over this, but thanks for the info, anyway.

Edit: Hm, having two toughness is nice though..

The 2/2 Probably makes up for the Mana Dependance I guess.

i like it for the flash effect, too bad you can't choose to put it at the bottom. still, in draft, a decent costed flyer.

It is excellent for limited not just cause it is an efficient flyer at common but taking a peek at their top of the deck means it boosts the chances of your clash cards.... well not exactly boost but if you know it is a land than you most likely will win, if it is something else... well you still got your flier.

Same goes for your library and if you have any effects that can shuffle of get rid of the top, you can use that knowledge.

Not an earth shattering effect but it has it's uses.

In constructed Pestermite is simply better.

Spellstutter Sprite. Let's you tap out if you know they're just drawing land next turn. Plus, there's some clash synergy with Scattering Stroke.

This would be a nifty little side board card for faeries if there wasn't more important stuff to include. This is good for hosing Desert and not much else. For Limited it's quite good I think.

meh... I'm a huge fan of faeries, but I am so disappointed in Morningtide thus far. I've yet to see anything that I would want to include in my current UB Faeries build.

I'm hoping to see a legendary Oona card... Rumor gods--any help?

Like it for Limited, not very good for Standard (not many commons are). A bit mana dependant, but a nice set of abilities...

As for Dewdrop, at least its another Flash faerie AND it can work into the rogue theme

There may be a rogue deck, but a mono-black faeries deck isn't going to exist.

As for the card: I'll take Pestermite over it any day.

it is quite efficient and would definitely see some limited play. the ability kinda sucks though, so i don't like it that much for constructed.

man, when I first saw this card's name, I was hoping it would finally be the 1 or 2 drop faerie that we've been needing. As it stands this is simply too expensive to see play without a relevant ability (like Scion or Pestermite have).
