crummy cardz...

a rare that does nothing is your opponent has an empty hand, or, if e has a land, basically gives him free cycling.

and a mega prodigal pyromancer without the untap clause of the sharpshooter...

and ugh rares...

Vindilion Clique is interesting...3/1 Flash Flyer for 3 that let's you "Condemn" a card...and they get a replacement. Hmm..would have seemed better without that last part.

Lightning Crafter sounds like great fun too. Doesn't seem strong (Champion plus easily taken out by removal) for Constructed without some form of protection/haste/something...but seems like a complete wrecking ball in Limited.

Anyone figure out the acrostic yet? Do we get anymore previews from it like we did with the Planeswalkers?

well true its no sharpshooter... buts its nice for what it is... the faerie is disappointing though... why a legend...? it seems too forced

So you can dump a land to draw a card.

I think that the Faerie is very good, because it is above the curve and has a very versatile effect. Use it on your opponent to snag their goodness, uself on yourself as a looter effect. An flash too? What a powerhouse. Best legend we've seen so far from Morningtide.

The shaman is obviously a limited bomb. So the Ash is part of a cycle. It could be a 1-of in Goblins or shamans.

3/1 flash flyer for 3 is NOT crummy. And the CIP ability is quite nice.

And while the Bolt Chucker is a FANTASTICLE (I believe that's the word) bomb rare, it probably won't see play in constructed.

Well, everyone wanted a card for the Vendilion Clique, and we got it. It's also the first playable card for UG Faeries, and possibly a 2-of in said deck. It's ability is useful (especially with the "you may" clause - at worst it's a Peek with 3 power attached to it), and it's a great new beater.

The Shaman isn't exactly bad, but I doubt it'll see any play. Champion just isn't that exceptional.

EDIT:
Just saw the "target player" clause on the Clique. Makes it even better.

Pretty good. I like the clique.
Seems competitive.
Lightning Crafter is also a limited bomb.

The Clique is dissapointing. A fragile 3/1 with a decent effect. I mean, if it actually made the player discard the card, it wouldn't even be that good. The good part is you can use it to draw a card at the end of your opponet's turn, but its still not great.

The Shaman has a cool ability but it's overcosted. If it's going to have Champion and cost 3R, it should have been atleast 4/4 so it could dodge atleast a little removal. Even haste would have helped. Good to draft if you've got a lot of Goblins and Shamans though.

Except that it specifies a non-land card.

I think the Clique is quite playable since you can target yourself. It also has applications outside of Standard, like in Faerie Stompy in Legacy, it lets you cycle a dead Chalice or Mox for a fresh card, plus allows 3 damage suprise blocker.

Vendilion is just great...
take out the removal or the combo engine then t4 mistblind clique and that's all
