Some rumored commons as I do understand them
Cenn’s Tactician ![]() Creature – Kithkin Soldier , : Put a +1/+1 counter on target soldier creature. Each creature you control with a +1/+1 counter on it can block an additional creature. 1/1 Ink Dissolver ![]() ![]() Creature – Merfolk Wizard Kinship - At the beginning of your upkeep, you may look at the top card of your library. If it shares a creature type with Ink Dissolver you may reveal it. If you do, each opponent puts the top three cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard. 2/1 Prickly Boggart ![]() Creature – Goblin Rogue Fear. 1/1 Last edited by Hunter : 01-09-2008 at 01:47 AM. |

the 1st two are good
you sure that's how they are? common? a mill for three guy for 2 and on a 2/1 stick? four of these and it takes out 12 at once and the other guy gives those benefitted by the +1/+1 sage of fables oona's blackguard peoples an additional block? |

These cards all seem pretty good. Boggart's a Prowl enabler much? Tactician seems to be a Kabuto Moth with more importance, those +1/+1 counters are everywhere... Free mill will help the merfolk out a lot at common, plus it has great stats.

The boggart is also good, 1/1 evasion for one mana is perfect for prowling.

The Kithkin is very nice. Pumps your critters and lets them block more. Enhances both defence and offense. Nice in Limited. (for a 1-mana 1/1 anyway).
The Merfolk is kind of meh in my opinion. Although, I could see it in a Limited Merfolk deck. The boggart is really just a prowl enabler, let's face it. |

Assuming Cenn’s Tactician is common, it's very good at limited.

Kinship doesn't have reminder text, it's an ability word.

Eh, mostly crap. The Tactician is really good in Limited, especially for a 1-drop. Other than that, a miller and a prowl enabler.

One more nice card for the rogues, and a nice common for Soldiers to boot. I like!

Well, it really depends on your deck. I mean, you're not going to draft this highly specifically so that you can get prowl abilities; you'll pick it because you'll already have lots of prowl abilities to abuse. In Constructed, this could be useful, except both Faeries and Goblins are black, so the main aggro decks you'll face are already capable of blocking it, out tempoing prowl (what with flash, counters and tricks in general), or out-card-advantaging your prowl tricks (with graveyard recursion). Also, G/B Elves is already a problem. Having said that, if prowl is better than expected, I fully expect this card to see some, if not universal adoption (though the 1 mana 1/1 faerie might be better). |

I really like the fear rogue one drop. Rogues are gonna be crazy as hell, especially with prowl.

1cc 1/1 with evasion. what more can you ask for... and it is a turn 1 prowl enabler so you can use that discard 2 cards prowl spell...
the kithkin is nice. quite usable in limited and could have some constructed possibilities, but i doubt that. the merfolk could definitely push the possibility of a mill deck. 2-power for 2cc with a decent ability is efficient. it is also quite nice disruption in multiplayer. |
