All of these 'leaves' play triggered Evoke guys are so much worse than the initial ones. Disappointing, really.

I sorta kinda almost just about might consider maybe not thinking to lowly of that. It has its uses. At first I was gonna ask why is the evoke cost the same, then I realized so I could sac it and get the effect immediately, for times when a 2/3 is just not useful. I have no idea when that time would be.

This is awesome. This is just awesome in Limited. 4-mana for a 2/3 flier is playable. The leaves play ability is just icing on the cake. Although, I could definitely imagine times when I'll evoke it rather than play it (e.g. if I want to win a clash or something).

Aah, I get the joke, see the name? It'll never make into your deck, that's for sure.

I'm hating those "leaves play" evokers. They're just so much worse than the initial ones.
At least if it was "comes into play or leaves play", it would've been pretty decent.
This is real bad :S

Damn, they could have made it able to target lands... O! plow under were art thou ? Or even flash...

Otherwise, still playable. As a 2/3 flying for 4 with a bonus "loose a draw and a creature for now" ... wich in limited could mean "loose a turn".

Filler uncommon so...

I know a friend with a MP-slide deck, there's a chance he might use it to annoy us all...
But I doubt it ;(

After they spoiled us with Shriekmaw and Mulldrifter, these new evokers just can't do it anymore.

* rancored_elf slaps his knee*

Nevermake'r into your deck... hah!

Anyway, assuming it's correct, I think it's limited playable and might have some constructed applications in the right deck. Neither option is very efficient, but having the option available is nice.

Most of the comments before the pre-re on Shriekmaw and Mulldrifter were "ah nice for limited, but nothing I'd run in constructed. "

I dunno. This thing will be nice and annoying in my mill deck as a blocker.

It could be used in a blink deck to lock things up.

I want to point out to everyone of this basic opinion that when evoke was brand new the speculation threads were just littered with this sort of thing. While I am disappointed by these leaves play evoke creatures, I remember a lot of enthusiasm for this idea a few months ago.

Well for one thing it could be made a kicker spell easily.

Maybe kicker 0 if you pay the kicker cost the creature dies?

Its not bad and def for limited.
