Interesting Hairstyles??

Ok, I'm not sure if this is the right place for it, but I guess it doesn't fit anywhere else either...

Here's the deal. Wer'e celebrating carnival in a week's time. It's a holiday much like halloween (which we sadly don't celebrate here in October .) Anyway, I've made an appointment to dye my hair, and I'd just like to know what styles you think would be cool to try to use.

The main problem is that my hair's a bit short, but it'll grow by the time I have my appointment (scheduled for a week from now.) Also, since I'm dying my hair, I can't straighten it either

I guess I'd like to know what you think'd be a good halloween hairstyle. Pictures would be nice, and if you could tell me the procedure to do that hair style, that'd also be great The freakier the better

Lastly, sorry if this is in the wrong place, or has been a complete waste of your reading time...

Oh, so Carnival is also big in Malta? The celebration, which begins next Thursday, is all people have been talking about around here (like every year). I'm not too big on Carnival though, so, aside from playing a Beatles cover jam on Carnival Sunday, I don't plan to actually go out to the streets.

As for your hair, you can never go wrong with a dyed mohawk. And you can even do it if your hair doesn't grow too much until then.

Ehm, carnival isn't really that much like Halloween, afaik. It's celebrated in the south of the Netherlands as well, and it's a lot more cheery then Halloween.

Anyway, I'd dye it in some totally wacky colour (perhaps even multiple colours) something wacky as well when styling it. I don't know how long your hair really is, so making suggestions is a tad hard.

Haha, a moehawk'd be great, but I'd be banned from school afterwards Also, I plan on getting one in summer

My hair's um, pretty short, it's about 5 cm long, at least when I spike it up with gel

Wigs offer more variety, brighter colors, more drama, and best yet...you can take them off the morning after and not get kicked from school.

@Giles. Knowing your hair, I'd suggest a wig if you plan on being extravagant. If not, then just spray it red like the rest of the crowd

What will you be wearing in carnival? I never attend. Not my sort of thing

Wigs are cool, but I'd rather actually do something real

Oh I really would like to go to Carnival too. I don't know how big your celebrations will be, but as far as I know, the German Carnival in the region where I live is the biggest Carnival apart from Brasil. Sadly I have an exam next thursday, so I probably have no time to waste while learning
My hair is about 15 cm long, so I would have some cool ideas, but short hair is really tough - a wig is maybe the best solution. Anyway, the clothes are more important...

@Kargara: Malta's small, Gozo's smaller, but for our size, it's a decent celebration Wish my hair was as long as yours, and thanks for your suggestions

I'm not sure he's entirely correct on his definition of liberty spikes. It's a hairstyle so named due to its similarity to the appearance of the Statue of Liberty (one would assume).
