The third box down, with what looks like a flower-avatar, is presumably Oona.
Also, one of the boosters shows what appears to be a flame-kin.
Certainly lends wait to the dark-Lorwyn theories.
i thought oona's a fairy not an avatar or elemental. i first thougth it was some weird elemental. it looks like the flamekin and the kithkin and boggarts and elves will all be back in this set.
warning novel spoiler.
i don't think we'll be seeing any merfolk considering they at the end of the book they were all going to die or get that virus thing.

What we have, overall: a dark, dreary setting; scrub grass, twisted trees, etc. Pretty much as the name implies!
What we have, specifically:
What's clearly a kithkin riding a springjack (it's not a pig, guys, look again) -- his eyes are yellow, basically confirming that Mistmeadow Skulk is a Shadowmoor setting card.
Some sort of plant-monster-swamp-thingy. I'm pegging this as an elemental at first glance.
A humanoid, blue being, surrounded by flowers. This is definitely faerie-related in some way... the possibility that it's Oona has to be high on the list, definitely.
Our previously known image of the elf being attacked by the merfolk.
Those pack images are hard to make out. One looks like a purplish creature with a beak -- not sure what this could be. One is a bluish humanoid with a shape and color that suggest "merfolk" to me. One is a green and black thing I can't parse at all. And one is unambiguously a head shot of a Lorwyn-style flamekin.
I thought fat packs carried only six boosters??? Why is this one carrying 8?
Also, I'm loving the feel of this block. The art on what could be Oona is just wicked cool (though a little too blue-sy for my taste). I hope we get some images of what the faeries will look like sometime soon.
"All these people having fun are playing for a gigantic 40000$ award, while I'm here sweating, players asking me stupid layer questions we all hate, and I'm thirsty.
These boxes are right... it is the 15th anniversary of MTG! I can also see there'll be something that gives 8 boosters. I wonder what it is? I like the new thinner theme deck packaging too. Wait, theme deck packaging was always minimal. That just means the decks are getting larger packaging! Blah. Unless that's not a theme deck. This new packaging is confusing me. I hope amongst one of these new products is a fatpack without the novel.
EDIT: If the whining on that other thread in this forum and every thread on the various pro forums, ranging from TCGPlayer.com to the Players Union, is correct and Magic is imminently dying, it looks like it'll be going out on a high.
So we've got a W/U precon, a W/G precon, and a R/G precon (and some others)
Kithkin? They're damned afraid of the malignancy, as is demonstrated by Morningtide and that kithkin trying to convince Brigid to return. Isolation it is!
Well...I dunno. Elves? They have to now stand together to stop invaders, so maybe more care about banding together in unison rather than rank?
Goblins? They've gone primal as all dang. Sure, insanity suggests black, but we've seen that in Lorwyn already. Perhaps...
Note: I know that speculating by tribe is rather fruitless, but let me toss some ideas out.
The fat pack has...eight boosters. Time to buy SHA fat pack.
The left-most booster on the top seems to show that weird zombie treefolk on the Shadowmoor pre-release info card. Just a speculation.
The Forest in the land pack looks pretty dark. I like.
If anyone can try and make out the names of the precons, go ahead. I'd love to see what they actually are (by speculation, at any rate).
All in all, this is shaping to be very intriguing.
Those sites also give the rarity distribution, 80 rare, 80 uncommon, 121 common, 20 basic lands. Not sure if that was known or not.
There are five theme decks.
Only one box and no dividers? Ugh. I always used the boxes to store my common/uncommon playsets, and it takes two boxes to do that with the large sets. And the dividers always made it easier to search for what I needed.
Well, it's official then: No more Fat Packs for me. And I had bought them for every set since 9th.
As for the old mechanic that is making a return...what mechanics were not touched on in TS block?
Anyone think that Shadowmoor is the the Darker side of Lorwyn? You know, after the huge party thing their supossed to have. Instead of constant light, constant night?

Read the novels.
At the end of Morningtide, the Aurora is bringing forth a darker era where the tables have turned on the elves. The kithkin become isolationist (it is presumed), the elves have to hold their own, and the boggarts and merrow go insane.
Well, this reinforces my idea with the new tribes. Ouphes are going to be in the set, AKA one of the packs. It is too much an ouphe of anything else. I am gonna guess one of the other tribes is either Zombies or Plants, because that pumpkin zombie image could go either way.

I love the color palate for this set, the dreary green is just great.
