Picked up the attached flier at my local games store Wednesday night. As far as I can tell the art on the front is new and the art on the back isn't, but I figured that's all fair in love and war and all that so here it is.

hhmmm.. maybe a new elf legend perhaps? flavorwise, its blonde.. although we cant see her ears...:-/.. she has wings though...? (maybe that elf went into deep trance?)
Are the only humans in LOR Block Planeswalkers? If so can these be PWs?
I was thinking some of the pictures in the art thread looked like they could be planeswalkers as well. Makes sense that oona could be a planeswalker. There is also the lady with what looked like a green aura or magic around here that seemed like could be a planeswalker as well. That would make green white and oona would be black most likely. They could even be the hybrid colors.
However you cant really tell if there are horns or not...
If its a planeswalker....whats up with all the white walkers being blind/folded.

Don't you see that the whole aim of Moderators is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make infractions literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it. Every concept that can ever be needed, will be expressed by exactly one word, with its meaning rigidly defined and all its subsidiary meanings rubbed out and forgotten.
I do see wings so I'm guessing Elf Spirit. The reason I say elf? Look at the arms. They are elongated and extremly thin much like all the elven women of Lorwyn (See Maralen of the mornsong for an example). Also the elves in shadowmoor have so far been seen with blond hair, at least most have been.
I would Say it's an angel... but it looks too much like an elf, however i suppose there could be an Elf Angel just the same way Angels look like humans in other worlds... why not have angels that look like Elves on shadowmoor?
Also as for those people who have been talking about more planeswalkers... and by that I mean people all over the forums... i just want to say that my own personal feelings are that they will have no more than 5 walkers as standard legal at any given time. I could possibly be wrong but that would ensure they remain very special and they don't flood the game. Also gives them lots of time to work on them.

There is no way that that will be the standard. Besides the statement that they also want the appearance of planeswalkers to be unpredictable (which this guideline would not particularly achieve), that would mean printing no more PWs until Live, in fall of 2009. That's not keeping PWs special, that's failing to strike while the iron is hot.
I'm sure we'll see them in much smaller quantities from now on, but we will keep seeing them, I am quite certain.
hm the image says "6 free bosters" .. is the pre-release for shadowmore having 6 bosters, instead of the normal deck and 2 bosters? we know it's a big expansion, are they changing the pre-releases?
What it says is that if you play in the Shadowmoor Prerelease and fill the card out, and then order a Shadowmoor display (ie booster box), you will get six free boosters. You'll get 42 instead of 36 boosters if you played at the prerelease and order a box. The offer is only valid if you play in a prerelease at and subsequently order your box from the same store.
I wonder how this will work if you attend a prerelease and order your boxes from different stores. I am sure a lot of people will fall into this category because of how far away prerels are from their home store.
For example, in my home state of Virginia, StarCity has a monopoly on all things Magic Tourneys, so the prerel will be held by them in Richmond (center of state). But all the people from Va Beach (east) and Nova (north) probably won't get their boxes from StarCity (out of Roanoke..southwest) unless they order them online.
If so, people will order from far away stores that hosted prerels to get their 6 free packs (cover cost of shipping probably). I wonder if this will hurt Magic retailers that aren't picked by WotC to hold prerels. hmmmm.....

One of these days, I'm going to get sick of seeing you smack down these bizarre notions people have about planeswalker-to-set ratios. But it's still funny right now.
On topic: Sure, it could be an elf, but it could also easily be a spirit, avatar, or both. I know some people are crazy about the angels, but its a prosaic creature type and I'd rather have something horror-flavored. Also, it seems a stretch to fit in 'servants of the diety' when we've already got demigods running around.
Honestly, I'm guessing that the angel/elf/spirit will be another demigod. The only thing is that she really looks mono-white and you'd think if there will be a cycle of demigods, they would all have hybrid mana. (of course it could be more of a loose cycle, but I doubt they would do that with something like this)
Damn, I was just about to post the same speculation....
Indeed, it starts to seem that we could have a cycle of demigods in Shadowmoor, probably always from the allied colors. I dare to speculate that there are already two arts known aside from the new one - Demigod of Revenge with full card, and the art below:
The prerelease ad seems to feature the Demigod of Justice indeed, for we all know that justice is blind sometimes. On the other hand, the pic above has also a certain "justice" feeling in it, especially thanks to the sword. Maybe an alternate art, meaning that DoJ could be the prerelease card? One representing blind justice, the other all-seeing?
EDIT: The avatar from the ad is holding a sword as well, in her left hand. Sword and blindfold are typical items related to justice's depictions.... Interesting....
The art from the OP screams "Justice" to me. Particularly blind justice. From the veil to the plain white robes to the sword held loosely in her hand.
It's a strong possibility that there will be a demigod cycle, because I would definitely peg this as an Avatar or Spirit. It looks NOTHING like lorwyn elves. No visible antlers, pale skin, simple garments.
Whatever it is, I hope its good, it's now my favorite revealed art from the set.

very cool find
There's a tiny note in the top-left corner that says it's by Jason Chan (who did Nimbus Maze).
Glad this find is of use : )

You guys really see that as anything but a Lorwyn elf, possibly a unique one? That's all I see. Banshee? Angel? I just see an elf, guys.

Let this great clan rest in peace (2001-2011)
Would that be WU or GW?
I call WU. Justice's flavor is more often depicted as "You broke the rule" than "You've done something against the society".

I'm predicting maybe a Demigod of Knowledge, Demigod of House of Dimir, Demigod of Fae, Notorious Demigod.... /joking
I don't know but I see the one in the ad as W/G or W/U with a Justice feel. The one with the huge eye looks a lot more sinister so I'm betting U/B.
