It really seems too good not to run, doesn't it? I'm not feeling very positive about my ability to consistently play the guy on turn 5 in MBC (or turn 4, should I choose to replace Mind Stone with the clunkier, less versatile Coldsteel Heart), but the Demigod still seems like an auto-include.

In any case... the Demigod is definetely going in my MBA list, which I never wanted to turn 100% Rogues. Those guys will be the replacement for Bad Moon, once it rotates out. A 5/4 evasive and hasty threat that brings its countered buddies back is never a bad thing.

Ahh. There's our clan champion card. Too bad we couldn't find a big piece of just the art like we had on the previous thread with Hippy
But yeah, Demigod will definitely find a slot in my MB deck, even if I have to include other mana rocks over Mind Stone. Phyrexian Totem or Coldsteel Heart. Both are really clunky though. The heart has the whole laziness clause on it, but I still think that may be better.
I think it'll be refreshing having to actually make choices in the deckbuilding process with Shadowmoor. We're not just getting a new set here, but a new set with more options than usual thanks to the return of hybrid mana. It's going to be a welcome change of pace from all the linear tribal precons of Lorwyn and Morningtide, that's for sure.

Eh, I guess its not to bad in todays standerd, but we better get some uber cool black removel, I mean its Shadowmoor, this should be our set! with all the -1/-1 counter specualtion I'm hoping for something like:
1B put 3 -1/-1 counters on target creature.
That would be so awsome!
Though we do have that Black Sorcery that puts -1/-1 counters on things, depending on cost it could be good.

Edit: The orb results reveal that there is a Demon and a Horror in the set, but no Zombies. I can't wait to see what they are!
An alternate reinforce would be cool. The demon has art in the art section, the Horror is probly the thing hidden under Howltooth Hollow.
Shadowmoor contains:

And the introduction of "Q"; never has something so simple been so brain melting (one more hint: Q's a thing, but not a keyword mechanic)
It's still not colorless, and has no color. That's a paradox. So either you're a Zen master or an idiot, I'll assume the Zen master for sake of argument. This card will have no paradoxes because it has a clear paradox. Deep stuff man.
This is most likely the oppposite of Incremental Growth, which is pretty awful I think.
Actually, it's not that bad. You get to kill three creatures, netting a 3 for 1 CA, and even if you don't kill the creatures, you can weaken them permamently. I know a Termogoyf with three -1/-1 counters on it is something I'd love to see.
I'm sad... there's no zombies on the set... Hopefully, the demon and the horror will be awesome.

Don't get me wrong, the effect isn't bad when it works for you, but this is about as dependable a 3-for-1 as Hex is a 6-for-1. At 5cc, you'd probably get more value consistently from Final Revels, and I'm sure we can all agree on how terrible that is.
In the end, the only reason why the card (should it turn out to be true) bothers me so much is not because I think it's bad, but because MaRo felt the need to call attention to it. I just want to get hyped about something that's actually worth getting hyped up about, you know?

So according to the Orb of Insight thread in the Rumor Mill, it looks like there's a good chance that Corrupt will be reprinted in Shadowmoor. The numbers fit at least. The timing, on the other hand, seems a bit peculiar, in that it's awkwardly wedged in between Tendrils of Corruption and Profane Command -- too slow in this environment to really challenge the former and not quite versatile enough to compete with the latter. Still, it's always nice to see some real MBC cards being printed, particularly in light of the so-far underwhelming -1/-1 theme (re: Torture...wow that's terrible), and doubly nice to see more "swamps matter" cards.
Granted it doesn't say -1/-1 counters it is highly speculated. I mean, if they are Re-printing Torture than it seems alot like -1/-1 counters to me.
If there is a -1/-1 counter theme, we're not the only ones to get it. According to the same article Rosewater printed, red gets a bit of the pie as well. Gatherer says red has barely over a dozen cards that give -1/-1. I smell more color shifting. :uhh::-/
Well, Shadowmoor doesn't look very appealing to me right at the moment.
I don't know why, but it just doesn't get me...
Especially the remake of Torture sucks big time. Can't they show us something new?

As for Demigod, Coldsteel Heart is actually ideal if you run two colors. If you check out the Korlash thread, I posted an idea for a Br Korlash build, but also the fact that Demigod will most likely replace Korlash.
