The Knollspine enchantment is really good in Limited. Constructed, maybe not, but I can see it in a few RDW decks.

Beseech The Queen is awesome for SuicideBlack. It's a house now, no joke.

Yeah, I can see that Enchantment being ******** late game in Limited. If you control the board, just start aiming for their head.

i like beseech the queen a lot. its a really cool card that can see play in mono black deck but i don't think it'll see play any where else. the red card isn't that impressive to me.

Rules for those that cannot read the site.

• A card with a monocolored hybrid mana symbol in its mana cost is each of the colors that appears in its mana cost, regardless of what mana was spent to play it. It is not colorless. For example, Beseech the Queen above is black, even if you spend six red mana to play it.
• A card with monocolored hybrid mana symbols in its mana cost has a converted mana cost equal to the highest possible cost it could be played for. Its converted mana cost never changes. For example, Beseech the Queen above has a converted mana cost of 6, even if you spend to play it.
• If a cost includes more than one monocolored hybrid mana symbol, you can choose a different way to pay for each symbol. For example, you can play Beseech the Queen by spending , , , or If an effect reduces the cost to play a spell by an amount of generic mana, it applies to a monocolored hybrid spell only if you've chosen a method of paying for it that includes generic mana.
• Unlike other hybrid cards, which appear in two-tone frames, the Shadowmoor monocolored hybrid cards appear in monocolored frames because they're just a single color.

Beseech the Queen is great. I think that Korlash control will make a comeback this regionals.

I don't think Beseech is that good. Either its a Diabolic at BB2, and worse, or you need to be Mono-black to get it to be cheaper, and its only by 1 and might not be worth it.

Unless a deck that splashes/uses colorless really needs a tutor, I don't see this one at all.


The other one might be a good enabler for B/R madness or something, otherwise not much probably.

Well, we already knew about the Monogreen Hybrid, and plenty has been said about it. Beseech the Queen is, to me, underwhelming. Later in the game, it'll be a tutor for anything, sure, but you usually want to tutor as early as possible. Tutors are generally played in combo/control, and control wants to tutor for answers earlier than later. They've stabilized by later, anyway. In combo, though, it could be good, depending on how slow the combo is. Knollspine Invocation is... meh. You get to burn someone for a card and however much mana you can pump into it. Could be good in a sligh deck, but you don't have anything of that high a cost, so... nope, not really. As usual, all of them are great in limited. Imagine that. -Jack

To a scrubtastic newb like myself who can't afford Grim Tutor, Beseech the Queen is a godsend! 3 mana to tutor for almost anything in my deck is good enough for me. At uncommon too? I'm gonna have to get like at least 5 copies of this card, 4 for combo, and 1 for my cube.
