Biting Tether is pretty good, especially if you steal a Dusk Urchins or Grim Poppet.

Pale Wayfarer definitely makes combat interesting. He's a bit expensive for a 4/4 though.
Biting Tether looks great! That -1/-1 Counter is going to be a pain, but straight up control without conditions is nice. --Jed |

The wayfarer is a bit too expensive to be useful, but Biting Tether is a splashable persuasion which is always great. The drawback is unfortunate, but at least there are creatures that can utilize the counters.

Woohoo, the Imp is back!
Pale Wayfarer is pretty expensive, if it ever comes online it will almost certainly break a stalemate though. Biting Tether is a great trick. Is it just me or is W/U brimming with pretty decent removal? |

Pale Wayfarer may be useful in a 2HG game, where you can help your partner with it.
Biting Tether does combo well with Grim Poppet. Outside of Shadowmoor, though, you're better off with Persuasion EDIT: Thanks, Imps. Keep it up.

Thanks for the cards, the spoiler is almost done
Pale Wayfarer, well there is no shortage of huge fatties in the set even below rare levels. Good in limited as a finisher but too expensive for constructed. Tether is great, especially as an uncommon, in limited where blue needs all the removal, and where stealing effects such as this are huge as they can often 2 for 1. In constructed it has to compete with Sower but it is really not that overcosted for a control magic effect. It is a more splashable Persuasion for the -1/-1 counter drawback. But on the other hand that makes it a bit better vs sided in enchantment removal and their own control magic type cards. |

LOL.
At first glance these are overcosted...but then again they are powerful effects, and at uncommon you'd see them enough in limited. The Tether is obviously great limited CA (even if it weakens your guy), and the giant is...slow, but makes things unblockable/unkillable. Protection from a colour is WAY overpowered in this set. |

Hurray for Imp again !
Pale Wayfarer A costy guy with a costy but very strong ability. I think the cost for the effect is right, but the guy itself is overcosted for serious play. Could be very decent in limited, and in multiplayer if you have mana open ! Limited 5/10 (maybe 6/10... it seems too manaconsuming) Constructed (none) Biting tether A costy but useful aura. Also won't see constructed, but a very good card for limited to take away bomby creatures ! Limited 7/10 Constructed (none) |

The giant is pretty cool if a wee bit expensive, good protection trick for combat though, if anyone has seen the wizards mechanics video, they will see you can tap to attack, a blocker is consigned to stop you, only for you to do the untap ability and gain protection from the blocker, great.
The control and weaken card is pretty good, nick there big creature, use it for awhile it then dies, good use for your opponents fodder. You never cease to amaze do you Imp...

Biting tether is awesome in limited as it's blue removal. Not sure it'll see constructed play though.

Wow, I'm very impressed by Biting Tether. At 5 mana it might not be appropriate for constructed, but I'd love to open that in sealed.
Now that I think about it...depending on how constructed pans out, this might see play in constructed even at 5 mana. |

Thanks yet again IM.
Pale Wayfarer- 7 for a 4/4 is pretty weak, it's ability is pretty good at stopping targetted removal and turning Wayfarer into a great blocker.Biting tether- A Persuasion with a more splashable cost but which slowly kills the creature, nice card to use on creatures which abuse -1/-1 counters(Grim Poppet).

Biting Tether could be a good side in my merfolk deck.
The -1/-1 merely means more ammunitions for the leech bonder.
