No, the From the Vault: Dragons release date in paper is August 29th according to the arcana post on it. How long does it take for a paper set to hit magic online? Shards comes out in October, but that seems too recent to hit magic online that fast.
"First, I want to list our TARGETED release dates for all [MTGO] products throughout the rest of 2008. Please keep in mind these are all tentative dates, and subject to moving around some, but these are the releases and rough timeframes you can all plan on for the remainder of the year:
June 9 SHM
August 11 Eventide
August 27th From the Vault: Dragons
September 22nd Masters Edition 2
October 20th Shards of Alara
November 12th *something online that mirrors a paper release to be spoiled on Tuesday that my colleagues would kill me if I leaked early!*
December 8th Tempest (!)
The August 27th and November 12th dates are the most likely to change, but these dates are pretty close to confirmed at this point, pending QA/dev of course, and for you classic-minded folks out there, I certainly hope to be able to stick to a much more "regular" schedule for stuff like Stronghold and Exodus next year."
My bet for the november release is on Magic UN-line...
November 12th *something online that mirrors a paper release to be spoiled on Tuesday that my colleagues would kill me if I leaked early!*
I don't think so. Unless the paper player's care about getting an MTGO UnSet...
I think it is something that both Paper and MTGO are going to get. An UnSet doesn't fit. Nor does any actual set release (shards is already accounted for).
My guess is either another From the Vault, or more likely, the next Duel Deck.

I bet its going to be UnPlugged and will mirror the next paper un set. It will be an online only un set with all sorts of things that can't be done easily in paper but can be online similar to how many uncards would be impossible to implement online.
Duel deck sounds more accurate.. mainly because we already have the "duel deck Pirates V Ninjas" (which i know was an april fools joke) but knowing WotC they might just suprise us. and they did poll us on which duel deck we'd most likely want to see and Zombies V Clerics was at the top if i'm not mistaken

Not to mention that there's already 4 sets being released this year for MTG. Next summer is 11th, which leaves a hole in the summer after that. If I were a betting man that's where I'd put my money for the next Un-release.
"Mirror" to me, means the same release is being announced on Tuesday. The only thing that had a near simultaneous release on Paper and MTGO? Elves vs Goblins. I expect that the Dragons will be similar as well.
Any actual set (UN or not) will need to be QA'ed, and beta tested for at least three weeks, meaning that if it's going to be released in both in November it won't be tested. (Something for you MTGP players to remember is that we have a sizable delay betwen paper and MTGO release times). That list is when they'll be online, not when they'll be announced/starting testing.
It's very likely going to be something that needs no testing, like, the duel decks or the FtV stuff.
It's not impossible to be an UN set, but it's extremely unlikely that it's anything as big as a set release.

lol, Oh cmon guys, you know they will be releasing MEDII on paper! Mana Crypts ftw? Except. You know. It will be ultra, ultra rare, with only 1 in 60 packs having one. And the packs will be $20 apiece. It's all a part of Wizard's new "direction".
Anywho, I kind of hope it's another Duel Deck. The first EvG was actually not that bad in terms of price/quality. I wish the Elve's champion (gobs got SGC, elves got their commander) was more playable, or type 2 legal, but meh.
So what's our guess for races that might be dueling? O_o

Every rarity gets good cards. That means that some mythic rares will be tournament quality as will some commons, some uncommons and some rares. My promise wasn't that mythic rares wouldn't get good cards but that we wouldn't limit the good cards to only being mythic rare.
Bear this in mind the next time a powerful mythic rare is spoiled

It doesn't necessarily say that the MTGO release mirrors something that'll be released in paper simultaneously, meaning that Chronicles and/or Revised are options as well. It's far more likely that it's a Duel Deck or a From the Vault, but Revised would make a wonderful supplement to the MED sets. Wishful thinking, I know, but the duals alone would make it a great thing.

If theyre gonna go with something way from the past why not go back to unlimited to make a vintage like format available online as well as legacy

Um, no, that's mentioned elsewhere in the blog post. The Dragon deck is getting released August 27 (kinda maybe sorta) according to the post.

By a different name,
Gave it all away for a memory and a quiet lie.

And if I could cry,

What truth I did then take me there,
Heaven Goodbye."

It would most likely be Clerics vs. Zombies. But who would be the special cards?
Tempest perhaps?
Tempest is dec 8... right below it on the list.
