Default [EVE] 3 cards (rumoured)

Hi Folks!

2 commons and 1 uncommon this time. Here we go...
Dream Fracture -
Instant (U)
Counter target spell. It's controller draws a card.
Draw a card.

Artist: Howard Lyon
Card #: 19/180

A twist on Arcane Denial, although the 'oldie' is better IMO.

Wilderness Hypnotist -
Creature - Merfolk Wizard (C)
: Target red or green creature gets -2/-0 until end of turn.
1/3

Artist: Rebecca Guay
Card #: 32/180

This one should have had a better power/toughness. Not a great card.

Shell Skulkin -
Artifact Creature - Scarecrow (C)
: Target blue creature gains shroud until end of turn.
3/2

Artist: Cole Eastburn
Card #: 173/180

One more to complete that cycle. Giving a creature shroud usually means: counter target spell. Too bad it's only on blue creatures. Maybe that blue uncommon that I spoiled earlier is somewhat more useful
now .

Finally, a tidbit on a blue card:
There is a blue creature that you can sacrifice to counter creature spells and the creature has persist!

CaptainBlue, you’re here, welcome back.
Dream fracture is a dish of a card, really nice, not quite great, but very cool to see another cantripping counterspell.

Dream Fracture looks a lot like a 3cc Remand to me, very nice. The rest is limited fodder, I suppose.

Thanks for the info! And if requests are being taken, can we see an Avatar next? :P

I really want to see the persisting creature counter creature (that's a mouthful). If it has flash and costs 3 to 4 mana then it could easily see play. Especially with heartmender available for recursive counters! Sounds so good. This batch of cards is not as exciting as the rest of the cards revealed. I'm hoping for a competitive power level for blue green! Can't wait to see more considering the rate of spoilage coming out. Thank you as always yall!
GO TEAM M!

Great find! Dream fracture is great! Same price as cancel but replaces itself. Probably won't mind that the spell's controller is drawing because you would most likely be playing control anyways.

it's still easier and cheaper to do it with scion of oona and then activate amoeboid changeling or with shapesharer or mirror entity

Say What????? Is is a selkie? or perhaps is a merfolk like curse catcher? Could it be a noggle? I don't know why I care so much about the creature type. Whats more imporant is how much he cost to play and if there are anymore cost to the ability.

I am loving the dream fracture, hinder and remand were both very playable counter spells and they essentially gave the opponent some kind of pay out.
I'm actually really liking the shell skulkin as well especially with all the tricks available to change a creatures colour until end of turn this could save alot of your creatures.
Finally that blue creature with persist and can be sac'd to counter a creature spell is going to be excelent as long as it's cost isn't too high. Thank you captainblue.

The counter is indeed a twist on Arcane Denial... that let you do the same as before: counter you own spell to dran cards!! p Ok this time it's just a 2 for 2 and not 3 for 2... What a shame...
I like it even if your opponent draws... ("wondering if I could include it in my draw-mill deck"...)

I like Dream Fracture, but pity it's 3 mana. It works like Remand.

Don't like the commons.

Dream Fracture is acceptable...but probably belongs in a tempo-oriented U/X aggro deck, rather than straight control.

Wilderness Hypnotist - at that mana cost, should've had a bigger body, or not be limited to G/R creatures.

Shell Sulkin - not bad at 4 mana. Limited.

The creature - if it's aggressively costed, it could be a monster.

Thanks Cap'n of the Azure, thanks for telling me there's at least one other guy with persist + interest mechanic. I had already given up on persist only appearing on overcosted french vanilla guys in EVE.

Thanks cap'n.

Dream Fracture - - Another 3cc hard counter, this one cantrips for you and your opponent, not sure if it's better than simply playing Cancel but it should be worth testing.

Wilderness Hypnotist - - 4 for a 1/3 with a boring ability which is limited to only red or green creatures, no thanks, I'd probably think twice about playing this even in limited.

Shell Skulkin - - the blue member of the scarecrow cycle, 4 for a 3/2 is okay and shroud is very nice, i'd be happy to play this in a sealed/draft deck with enough blue creatures to make it worthwhile.
