huh, barbie...

bonegnawer is ok... but not as good as withered wretch.. I like cankerous thirst, may be useful, you pump your creature and remove a blocker, at instant speed.

Ooh! A Black non-hybrid merfolk. That throws a monkey wrench in a lot of people's hypotheses.

Rendclaw Trow and Cankerous Thirst are extremely solid in Limited, and makes me wanna draft G/B because of that nasty curve of Mimic, Trow, Thirst, and Deity (not likely to happen but if it does that's all kinds of godly)

Planar chaos for the tribes, green goblins, black merfolk. Not that it is for the first time, it's still very exceptional.

As I recall, Consume Strength was +2/+2 and -2/-2. This is much better.

It's Consume Strength, now more splashable and effective, but a mana more expensive. Still great tho.

The Trow is also a great card, nullifies Finks and Safehold Elite, etc while coming back itslef. Very solid.

N we have the final member of the cycle with the merrow, and it's quite a good one at that.

Sarnathed. :/

I'd love to play Cankerous Thirst in limited.

The Merrow is meh.

The Troll is average I guess.

Well all three are pretty nice, though I think the Trow is best. Not often do we find a cheap creature with both persist AND Wither. 2/2 for 3? Beats the hell of Gravelgill Axeshark.

So there really IS a cycle: Merrow Bonegnawer is part of the same cycle as Merrow Levitator and Cinder Pyromancer and Nettle Sentinel. Now we just need the white one to complete the cycle!

Cankerous Thirst is going to be a great card in Limited. It'll often be double removal; even when you don't kill two creatures with it, you can often use it to save one of your creatures or get three extra damage through. Really nice combat trick.

Meh, the merrow would be better if you got to choose the card. I guess we have enough graveyard hate in this set as it is though.

All 3 are quite playable, especially in limited. Cankerous Thrist is a little expensive but I'll still take any elimination I can get in limited. Bonegnawer is pretty nice, especially with retrace coming up. Trow's stats isn't really that impressive but you can use it to to wither while chumping then you get to do it all over again.
