Well, now that the spoiler is completed, I have the spreadsheet compiled. As always, please let me know if there are any errors in it. Be forewarned: Due to the number of hybrid symbols, the mana costs for the spells have been adapted to single-letter representations, so the CMC formula will properly calculate the costs. There's a note at the bottom of the sheet, but they are as follows:
(W/B) is represented by Orzhov (U/R) is represented by Izzet (B/G) is represented by Savra, Queen of the Golgari (R/W) is represented by Agrus Kos (G/U) is represented by Simic
As for costs elsewhere (ie in ability text), I left them alone, so they show up as {ur} or {wb} or whatever. Have fun and good luck at the prerelease, folks!!

Well you may have to edit the font or something.. also choosing landscape font might help. I tried to set it up so the lines would fit Excel on a 1024x768 screen without overflowing. If you want to print it out, here's what I do:
1. Open the spreadsheet in Excel, and load up Notepad and Word. (The fact that Notepad is a very basic text editor comes in handy here, and Word is used for character replacement.)
2. Select the entire spreadsheet in Excel and paste into Notepad.
3. Select the entire document in Notepad (CTRL-a is the easiest way) and paste into Word. Note that pasting into Notepad first removes all non-basic formatting; new columns are interpreted as TABs, for example, and all bold, italics, and such are similarly removed. Pasting directly from Excel into Word would turn it into a Table, which *isn't* what I want.
4. In Word, replace:
(a) all paragraph marks with @@@ (CTRL-h, ^p in the FIND box, @@@ in REPLACE WITH box);
(b) all TABs with paragraph marks (FIND: ^t and REPLACE WITH: ^p)
(c) all instances of double-paragraph-marks with single (FIND: ^p^p and REPLACE WITH: ^p). Repeat (c) until you have less than two replacements.
(d) all @@@'s with double paragraph marks (FIND: @@@ and REPLACE WITH: ^p^p).
5. At this point, I copy it back into Notepad and save it there as a .txt file (eg eventide.txt). A list like this *doesn't* need fancy formatting; even things like bold, italics, underline, and such are redundant.
The only thing I would suggest *before* following this procedure is when you open the spreadsheet in Excel, replace all instances of O, S, A, I, and Q in the mana cost column with the appropriate symbols (such as {wb} for the (W/B) symbol) and likely delete the CMC column. Or, you can use Word or Notepad and search through them yourself and replace them. Remember it's only the card's mana costs that have them, not ability costs.
Hope this helps

This is a great resource for those of us nerds that use Excel to keep track of our Decks/Collections.
Only thing I might suggest is that if you want to keep the CMC column you might want to copy/paste special that column before you find/replace the guild colors for the mana.
Here's for anyone wanting to keep that column.
1. Select the column
2. Right click copy (or Ctrl - C)
3. Right click an empty column and Paste Special
4. Under paste select Values
5. Use this new column if you want to keep the initial CMCs
Don't suppose you can format this for MWS? I'd rather use the built-in insert function as I have previously, because I do not trust MWS to work as far as I can throw a desktop.

Tarmogoyf has no evasion, yet it sees tonnes of play. What makes this any different?
Yeah, but Q is the untap symbol. Don't forget that. =\ There should be another letter for the cards.
As I said before, I only used these characters for the mana costs of the cards themselves. So I needed something that wouldn't get mixed up with WUBRGXYZ0123456789 - which means yes, T would have been fair game, unless I decided to go ahead and do ability costs the same way. As the only reason for replacing the symbols was for the CMC formula, things like the Tap and Untap and snow mana symbols are in this case irrelevant. I could have just as easily used symbols (like @ for (W/B), for example) but that would have been more awkward to find appropriate fits.
That being said, I am aware of one minor error on the spreadsheet thus far: One card (I forget which - it's a creature that I believe is at least part red) has its power and toughness in the wrong column. I can't find the error on my copy, however.
Jeebus Chrysler, that Alara preview art is.... Amazing! I mean, I knew this set would be one of the coolest we've seen in a while, but really, that art is fantastic. The artists have really been upping their game, apparently.

In case anyone wants some Eventide boosters to playtest with, I've written a simple python script to generate random visual boosters. It can be run locally or on a web server.
To use:
1. Change the extension from .txt to .py (the forums doesn't allow upload of .py files).
2. If you're using it as a CGI script uncomment the print statement below the "if using with CGI" comment by removing the #.
3. The script will output an HTML file which will pull the images from WOTC's site. It can be modified fairly easily to pull images for your own site if you want.
If anyone feels like it, feel free to put this on your website and link it here.
What exactly do I need to do to get the html file?
I mean, I opened the py file and hit "Run Module" and got a list of the cards'(which I'm pretty sure is a random pack) url's in a window titled Python Shell but I have to copy and paste each one individually into my browser to figure out which cards they are. The lines look like this for reference:

*claps* Good job dood.
Except, perhaps could have been represented by G for Golgari and B for Boros.
But yeah, good stuff. You get a cookie.
And you're buying hot chocolates on Saturday at the prerelease

Yes, I have already finished mine, but I want to wait until the cards go online to test it doesn't have any mistake before sharing it.
Expect it in a few hours.
Wow. The Shards of Alara teaser has the wrong date for the prerelease. they must have made that change at the last minute.
