Anyone who would like to be added as a member, this is your time. I tried to send out PMs to everyone whom I noticed had been posting a lot, but if I missed you, and you'd like to be added, let me know. Also, if your title is nonexistent on the first post, please give me a title that you'd like to be displayed there. If you don't want one, let me know, and I'll remove that bit from your info.
Moving on: Kaiba. It just finished recently. Did anyone else catch the end? A fantastic show, and a fantastic story. Everything is nicely wrapped up; a nice little self-contained story. It has the most staying power of anything from the spring season, in my opinion, and I get the feeling that it's one of those shows that people are still going to be recommending years down the road.
Anyway, I'm ashamed to admit I haven't watched any anime lately. I'm still pissed off with the lack of Allison and Lillia, and the band was moving to a new space, which consumed quite a bit of time, really.
Anyway, I'm sure I'll be watching animé again soon. It's not like I have better things to do.

Okay, I just watched the episodes of Code Geass and Macross Frontier I've missed. I think the Geass ones were a bit lacking, but Frontier is getting better and better, imho. I plan to watch some of the summer series soon, but real life is getting in the way of my anime.
Oh, and I think the title 'Storyline Nutter' would be a nice (descriptive) title.
EDIT: I'm also planning to re-watch FMA (again). It's awesome there might be a second series of it soon.

I hadn't really watched anything lately either.
But I finally got my Code Geass part one LE box set so I broke a week long streak with no anime.
And godamn, Bandai outdid themselves this time O_O;
From what I've heard I was lucky to not get a DVDs with playback errors, but that aside, the box is uber sturdy and has a nifty lid, not to mention it looks badass.
Getting vol 1 of the O.S.T. and the audio drama (even if it is english) isn't bad either. And the booklets finally explain the origins of Britannia (been waiting for something like that for a while). Something about a coup in Britain that knocked out the Tudors (although the Britannians try to say it goes as far back as Rome).
But $58.00 with the first two DVDs and extras... I knew I was already going to be buying the first LE at least, but I'll probably be buying the whole series LE now.
I'm still pissed off with the lack of Allison and Lillia,
At least it's going for 26 episode run. I'm still seething over Toshokan Sensou and Amatsuki getting cut short -__-

If they can manage to play down the wacko aesthetic, sure maybe someone will take you and others up on the recommendations. that being said, it's probably going to get swept under the rug by even some of the more junky summer titles.
Oh, and I thought I was already a member O.o
Meh, it was Xvid Junky and some military rank I don't remember.

That won't do my any good if they don't get subbed though...
Anyway, I did watch a rather good (non-anime) series lately, but I'm afraid it got cancelled after the first season, which sucks, because the first season stops with a huge cliffhanger..

Hey, I'm perfectly willing to sell my soul to the thread. ^^
I'm currently rewatching Berserk, since I watched it when I was younger (14ish), and I remmeber it being pretty badass. We'll see if it stood the test of "Me growing up, and becoming a critical bastard".
Anyway, I did watch a rather good (non-anime) series lately, but I'm afraid it got cancelled after the first season, which sucks, because the first season stops with a huge cliffhanger..
Anyway, ep 14 of Daughter of Twenty Faces rolled. Pretty much Ken goes the same way of disappearing like 20F did, and Tome played the "hai dere i knoz wut u doin so lemme get mad moniez and ur daughter kthxbai" card. *vomits from typing like that*
The first of the manga-based Negima OVAs rolled. Accurate enough, albeit speeding through the previous chapters (touching on Chao's battle, back to the future, etc.)
I haven't been able to keep up with AtL at the moment; pretty much getting geared up for last days at work and stuff. Time to prowl about for more releases...
Damn, now I want to watch Pani Poni Dash again =.= Oh well, it's worth it.
Hell yes. I just rewatched it again, and basically am obsessed all over again. I'm not usually thrilled with watching things over again, but it's certainly the exception to the rule. I think that the amount of content is so high (and dense), that you need to rewatch (more than twice even) it anyways to catch it all. Kinda like Family Guy- you forget half of the jokes (or some of them are so good, they are funny the second time around), so you odn't mind having another go at it.
And I know I'll hear about it for this one, but I actually PREFER Haruhi's voice dubbed, over the japanese Haruhi's voice. :\ I'm so sick of squeaky japanese girls, and the english version really carries that passion across. Kudos to the voice actress (can't be bothered to look up the name right now).
Just curious, a small poll (:unibrow:): Tsundere, Yundere, or Yamato Nadeshiko? Talking with my friends, most people I know prefer the Tsundere ladies (if you choose Yundere, I'm not sure what to think of you =_=), and I for one and annoyed with the Yamato girls. I'll take a woman over a 14 year old anyday, perosnally... -_- But judging by most japanese pop culture, that's almost always preferred in Japan. Thoughts?
Blasphemy! It's not like Hirano Aya has a very squeaky voice either, though Gotou Yuuko as Mikuru does sound pretty squeaky indeed...
*agreed*
I think the English VA did Fey Valentine in Cowboy Bebop ... but the name escapes me (ANN --> Wendee Lee. Dur.). Personally I only really was moderately aware of the dub because I thought Crispin Freeman wasn't too bad as Kyon.
But Hirano Aya nailed it too well to really care about the English dub.

Oh come on, the random saved by the Meido solution works well enough ._.
The crying scene at the end was kind of awkward tho' O_o
The first of the manga-based Negima OVAs rolled. Accurate enough, albeit speeding through the previous chapters (touching on Chao's battle, back to the future, etc.)
The world doesn't need anymore Negima anime -__-"
Anyhoo. I just started on Xam'd (read: watched all five episodes in a row yesterday), and it's more or less enjoyable, kind of a Guyver +1 vibe, mixed with Eureka Seven ... or something O_o
Not that that really matters anyways. It's a nicely animated series that has a nice pace and keeps you glued by not providing anywhere near enough information. Being done by BONEs doesn't hurt either.
Blasphemy! It's not like Hirano Aya has a very squeaky voice either, though Gotou Yuuko as Mikuru does sound pretty squeaky indeed...
I dunno... It's just a little too "typical" for someone as epic as Haruhi. I must admit, seeing her in the extras just made it worst, since she seems like a total idiot irl, but not enough of a difference. <_< I agree that Kyon was also pretty good for the dubs.
But Hirano Aya nailed it too well to really care about the English dub.
I guess I just didn't consider it "too well". :\ I also tend not to mind dubs much though, but I understand most people can't stand them.
I think yandere (yes, that's the correct term) usually make the most interesting characters
Most definitely. But thinking realistically.. I value my life.
The world doesn't need anymore Negima anime -__-"
I think I've only seen one or two episodes (the first few), and it just struck me as such a typical Love Hina harem clone, I didn't bother? Unless I missed something.
A) Tsundere.
B) Admittedly so, Kuro. @Masamune: Well, it is another of Akamatsu's works.
C) I've always said I was the purist, selectively avoiding dubs (the one for Gurren Lagann was okay, I admit).
D) At least tomorrow ep 19 of R2 rolls.
Also, can someone explain this clan stuff to me? What does a member do and why would I want to do it?
The responsibilities of being a member are the following:

{Strongbad Voice} A NOTHING!!!
The benefit is that you get your name on our first post like all the others. You also may have an increased sense of solidarity and/or belonging to the group (ok probably not but what the hey, it's good PR). The single restriction on being a member is that you can only be a member of one clan at a time.
And that's pretty much all I've got to say about being a member. It's awesome. Go for it.
A new episode of Maid Guy finally came out! Yay! More Kogarashi, and apparently God is a pervert and likes tennis. Also, "SEXY!"... that was an epic case of fail. SEXY FAIL. That is all.
Now, time to catch up on Golgo 13. I've missed the last four episodes.
Thoughts?
At the risk of sounding dangerously non-geeky, I haven't a clue as to what this is. Must I resort to Wikipedia? (well, so much for me sounding unnerdy)
I'm looking forward to episode 19, and what Zero's going to do. I have a feeling Nunnally won't stay dead, or they would have shown her death (they tend to do that to the people who actually die).
Apparently, I need to watch Kaiba. It's on my list.
I started watching Read or Die, but it failed to grab my interest before the first episode ended. I heard it was originally a movie. Should I start there? Should I have made it through the first episode before passing judgement?
I haven't been playing Magic, as there is no one here to play with. That leaves anime and video games. As I just uninstalled WC3, since I was spending too much time on it, I'm now stuck with just anime (no complaint here).
